J.Lance at Number 27 has been an amazing help with my journey through learning about high carbon Japanese knives. On separate occasions I have purchased three different knives, all arriving well packed and promptly and in great condition.
I've recently used his repair and sharpening services for an unfortunately tipped knife with a chip from hitting a bone while portioning meat. Lance was able to repair these issues and sharpened to a razor edge.
He has taken time through phone calls to answer questions about purchases I've planned to make and has been extremely helpful in all regards.
Would recommend for any one interested in high carbon Japanese knives or in need of sharpening services!
J.I needed a 24hr turn around on two knives, spoke to Lance and he said it was not a problem. Knives were very sharp and a few imperfections in the edge from commercial use removed. I really recommend this guy over house of knives or similar for knife sharpening services.
