M.I recently went back to whanganui for Xmas with whanau and we visited the shop, was so impressed with the service and products that are available and reasonable prices!! Good on yous!! if only a lot of towns had shops like this people can afford to eat and there are some products that cost so much more in places that you won't even think of buying!! Big thumbs up to this shop!!!!
K.Personally I like the place as it has quite a variety of meats sauces and even watercress, porkbones,Rewena,sweetbreads etc.I even saw kangaroo meat, so the place is quite versatile and the couple running the store are both experienced, courteous and treat everyone the same.
A.Quality, affordable, great range, sweetbreads, rewena.. all the faves too for boil ups. Watercress, puha, kamokamo I store aswell!! I gladly will make a monthly trip over from Manawatu to utilise this store.
R.Still a great shop, don't eat much meat now but other lroducts are of good quality and reasonable prices
V.The only shop in whanganui that caters to the humble boil up. They sell pork bones,, bacon bones, puha, watercress, rewana bread and more. More than just a butcher's shop. The owners provide that old fashioned service that is lacking in today's mass produced chain stores.
J.Watercress getting expensive but where else can you pick some. Greatest boil up shop.
k.My favorite butcher shop where I buy fresh soft bacon bones, fresh yumi pork backbones & sweet yumi watercress, kamo kamo & a loaf of yumi rewena bread that's our yumi kai taday :D
