t.I was unsure whether I should go to Beacham for my transmission service for my 2004 XJR or not after checking google review before Christmas. However I should say the experience was surprisingly good and thanks to Sunny who helped with ordering parts and conducting quotation for other works to the car. As a first-time customer at Beacham for car servicing and repair, I'll recommend their service.
A.I went to them on advice of Provident Insurance after my Eco-stop/start ceased functioning. Anyone who has had this issue probably knows it's a nightmare to track down as even an unrelated broken bulb that doesn't record a log in the ECU can be the cause. The car had to go back several times as it seemed to work for a while, then stop. But they were very patient with me wanting this minor feature fixed and finally tracked down the issue. I was not charged for these subsequent visits, so they couldn't do much more to prove that they stand behind their work. It's still functional a year later. I have since been back to them for two services, which is a much more reasonable cost than the big yards. My last visit, I got an annual service, two new tyres and a WOF for the same price Archies quoted me for a service alone. Ken is nice bloke to deal with, always friendly. Archies are certainly a very professional outfit, but Beacham is more personal and engaging, which I like. For servicing a Jag, you can't really go wrong.
