Made my 1st time in getting new tires for my bike very easy. Walked in, told the gent at the counter that I'm a newbie on tires, he looked up my bike in the system to make sure he gave me the right size tyre, told me how much and took my name and number and said he'd call me when ready. From arriving to leaving with new tyres took just over an hour. After getting advise about the new tyres I was on my way. Very happy customer I was. Thanks muchly. Will be back again when I need the next set of tyres

Rented a bike and gear from Cycletreads for a short tour of Northland. Process was easy, pricing was reasonable and the staff were very nice. Motorcycle was well taken care of, no issues at all. The rental gear was a bit ill-fitting, but to be expected when renting gear. They had quite a lot to choose from in a huge range of sizes though.

I 4 star only because I kept being looked at like I was a crim!!! while I too find this a bit funny, it did leave an uncomfortable air that's all. Like some other reviews I'd probably say the staff need to 'lighten up' everyone's day at work is hard, and being such a shop with much competition you want to keep everyone coming in you can surely, I might look shady but in actual fact I'm quite the opposite. Otherwise, me and my young dude did well in here, helmets, gloves, protective gear, clothing, what a range! like seriously a huge range of stuff for dirt biking and every other sort of biking possible. We'd just got some Pit Bikes for Xmas so a friend told me to come here, and I left quite impressed, sorted, and happy. Highly recommend you drop in if looking for gear.

Got 2 new tyres for our HD, really happy with the out come. Might have taken longer than estimated, but as long as the job is done well we happy. Very honest, price was cheaper than quoted. Very happy, happy riding 👍

I turned up at 5pm with a scooter wheel needing a new tyre, and expected it to be taken for work the next day - meaning I'd have to go out again. Not a bit of it. They couldn't have been more friendly, offered great advice and did it on the spot. And at a very reasonable price - they didn't even charge labour. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Outstanding! Service took longer than expected but was easily made up for by the prices and communication. Went in for new tyres and a service. During the service they found the chain was overly worn (I'm pretty slacking lubing my chain) barely increased the price. I offered to pay for the chain at retail and an installation fee - they point blank refused. Bunch of good buggers. I have gone to cycletreads for all of my servicing and tyres and I have never been disappointed. Ever.

Recently revisited after a long time staying away from them after previous encounters. Must say that the customer service has improved by far - the guys working in both the workshop and upstairs were a pleasure to deal with and were really knowledgeable about a range of things and were no-bull regarding what was on offer. Would recommend to give them a shot again if, like myself, you've been staying away because of reputation etc.

They may not have THE most premium brands in motorcycle gear but they DO have the best variety and at reasonable prices. The staff are friendly and let you take your time to try on and select gear. Lots of spares and other motorcycle accessories too. It's my first port of call when looking for new gear at great prices! Been a loyal customer for 10+ years and they've always taken care of me. Support a NZ business which doesn't want to rip you off. Great service department too I've heard, but never had to use.

Kevin gave me very good customer service and advice and recommended the best tyres to fit my riding style, bike and budget. He gave me a very good deal. Tony did a very quick and efficient job fitting my tyres to my bike and spotted that my front tyre valve had perished and needed replacing. I found all the staff very helpful and friendly and would definitely use them again.

Unfortunately a trip to Cycletreads can be a bit hit and miss. Sometimes you get a staff member who has a clue, though recently they haven't really been all that useful. It's ok to go here if you know what you want and don't need to interact too much with the staff.

Great team ! Had a tyre fit, they were busy! But got a new tyre, good advice and a cuppa upstairs ! Then had a quick look around good variety of gear! Next day went back brought a new LS2 helmet to boot !

Great store. Helpful staff. You can pretty much get anything motorcycle wise done here in-house. If they can't do it, they will recommend someone who can. Will be going back here for sure. These guys are happy to offer discounts on bulk purchases.

Service quality varies greatly on each visit. Can be great, or awful. CT definitely has the most competitive prices though and will usually give a discount if you ask. When ordering online be aware that they are often in debt with suppliers so you could end up waiting for weeks despite being charged. Best off to go into the store and buy what they physically have.

Rang ahead and rode in yesterday, Saturday morning about 0930. They took my bike in and fitted 2 new tyres. As we walked around we were checked on a few times by different people to ensure we were helped. Friendly service. Will definitely go back! Edit: headed there today after 1pm, anzac day, couldn't find the closing time online, get there at 405 and they're shut... very disappointing.. normally they close at 7 on Thursdays, and 530 every other weekday in reference to the current hours noted above, so we figured we had at least an hour before they shut..

The guys at cycle treads (work shop) are very polite and I found them willing to help. These guys were efficient and provided a good service, i dont know what other reviews are referring to, will now quite often take my bike in there. giving me tips and happy to answer any question i had!

Excellent service from both staff saturday 9th june. Both were knowledgeable on the products and nice to deal with. The extra star would be if there was adequate stock so that we didnt have to purchase the floor model that had had numerous heads in it. This is vital for motorcycle helmet safety that it isnt stretched to fit anyone's head but yours.

I was a bit hesitant to use CycleTreads after reading all the negative reviews. However, i took the plunge and found my experience dealing with Cycletreads was excellent. From my first email enquiring about a tyre for my Harley (getting answered on the weekend) to placing my order with Ak on Monday, confirmation on Tuesday from Jessyka and my tyre delivered to Whangarei on Wednesday morning. I have had a hit and miss experience with the counter staff at cycletreads before but the workshop team are a different story. I had noticed over the last 2 days my Hyosung had been running a little rough and meant to take it into the authorised agent to get it fixed. Unfortunately, the bike developed a severe miss and electrical failures in the afternoon, when I needed it most to get to a meeting, and so I took it straight to the agent. Needless to say I was less than impressed with their service and lack of help. This meant I found myself at Cycletreads in some desperation. What an excellent decision it was to roll through their doors, my bike sounding like it was about to stall with every rev. Instead of the elitism I had experienced somewhere else, I was greeted by a kindly chap who immediately went about finding me the necessary battery and did some considerable research to ensure it was the correct one. When I discovered the spark plugs were also at fault, this gentleman immediately found me suitable plugs. While their shop techs were all booked up, the chaps there very kindly lent me the use of some basic tools so I could do the job right beside the service counter. Within 20 mins of barely crawling in I was rolling out to the sound of a smooth engine. I can't thank the guys at Cycletreads service department enough. The guy behind the counter spent quite a bit of time ensuring I had the right bits, and the tech chaps very happily lent me their tools to get the job done so I could get back on the road, and make my meeting. I can't think of anything else i could possibly expect and intend on using cycletreads in the future as my go-to for any and all motorcycle parts/ servicing.

Very friendly and with good prices, however I found them to have bad communication skills, took 2 wheels in on a Monday to have tires replaced, told same day service, no phone call, Tuesday I ring and follow up, needs a spoke, Wednesday I get a call asking if i want the spoke, Finally ready on Thursday night.

They are accommodating and usually sort you out same day. But did my 07 Hayabusa brakes and even after going back they for squeaking they still do which they didn't do before. To be fair Holeshot Takapuna haven't sorted either but cycletreads caused it. Also have a mate with a Honda who had big drama but my experience is just brakes else for tyres they've been okay.
