My story in short - I am a loyal Honda customer driving various Honda cars for the last 15 years. I wanted to trade in my car and to get my next Honda. After dealing with Honda Northshore team, I ended up thinking about buying another car make and quitting Honda family at all as I was very upset and disappointed with Honda Northshore - these guys were pushy and appeared not to really care of what I was saying – really upsetting experience.
However, I was then very fortunate to deal with Honda Newmarket team – they managed to convince me to stay with Honda. Top notch service and the staff are very professional. We bought our car here 5 years ago and every visit for our service, we’re treated like new customers. The rates are a bit pricey but the service is guaranteed A++. Went to the Honda team in Newmarket with my partner Maria, initially to look at a 2017 - 2019 Honda CR-V & compare the options with another branded vehicle before finalising on our future vehicle . To be honest we were very fortunate to meet David Yu. He simply is one of the few Sale reps that understands the needs of his customer , budget restrains we had & the knowledge of the brand he stands behind. We both felt very relax with him, his technical knowledge with the features was detailed, His experience with Hondas gave us a better understanding just what we needed / wanted but showing us how Honda vehicles have changed over the years. I bought a used car from Honda Newmarket from David about 3 months ago and the whole exchange from start to finish was perfect- the customer service, the test drive, and the final payment. Very happy with the car! As part of the condition of the remaining warranty of the car, all service and work needed to be completed by Honda and this is where I remove one star.
A car sold to me in "excellent condition" was advised at the first service (and maybe 1500km max travel distance) that ALL the tyres needed to be replaced due to low tread (3mm), and a query to just INSPECT squeaky windshield wipers became a replacement to new wipers without inspection. Questioning the need to replace all four tyres in three months became "oh actually it's still within minimum legal requirement (1.5mm) so just keep driving with them". Questioning the reason why the wipers needed to be changed was met with "the service technicians didn't check what was wrong with the wipers, they just chucked them in the bin and replaced with new ones".
Personally I found this not only dishonest (given the excellent report the car was given at purchase) but also quite cheeky (and expensive!!).I emailed Honda Newmarket to ask what they would do to make things right. Fortunately Antonio and Matthew came up with a suitable solution for me so I will continue to return to Honda in the future.
My advice to all those who consider purchasing or getting car service from Honda Newmarket is:
1) Take the initial quality check report they give you, with a grain of salt as they might try and "hide" issues which may be just around the corner
2) Don't be afraid to challenge their advice or service if you genuinely think they can do better. If you're reasonable about it, likely they will see things from a customer perspective.

Recall: Airbag Issue
Called Honda to confirm if my friends vehicles particular make and model was to be recalled.
“Mike” from Service Department answered my call and found his tone and manner to be curt and rude.
Answered questions in such a way that was belittling. After asking what day I would like to bring the vehicle in I asked for an appointment in 3 days to which he replied not possible, next available appointment is 7 days and only time available is 1100am.
He informed me Honda cannot supply a courtesy car for an ETA 2 hour wait time to return back to work while car is fixed.
Bottom line: Honda is not helpful. Has rude customer service. Can’t help but judge the company on one persons service.
Reading other reviews on here it seems to be a common theme.
02 March 2021: I appreciate the reply from Honda. Thank you for the offer. As the situation is it was on behalf of a friend I was calling, she has now taken the matter into her hands trying to find a window of opportunity between work and time you have available.

I called to book my service schedule on a Saturday as I was told I was going to be sent a notification a day before which I was not.
so I called a day before to confirm. as I was told 3 times that Honda Cars New Market service department opens at 7:30am as I needed to go to work.
Well guess what, I am here at 7:30am and they are close and won't open till 8:30-9:00...

I would like to recommend the Honda New Market branch . Despite having a couple of issues with my car. Honda New strived to make it up to me in every the could.
Firstly, I would really like to recommend the Honda New Market General Manager Mr. Matthew Fong the General Sales Manager Antonio Navia and the sales support team for all their efforts in helping me with the issues and picking out the right vehicle. Here at the New Market branch, it clearly shows that whether you are purchasing a new car or a second hand one. The New Market sales team is different as they are always helping people get based on their needs, their budget and the wants out of the car. With that I would like to mentioned how Honda New Market sits with the customer and helps them Finance your vehicle based on their needs.
Secondly, I would like to mention the Parts department especially their parts advisor Manoj Kesha. When I wanted to upgrade my Civic. They suggested all the right fittings which would look good and even thoroughly checked to make sure, I myself was not getting the incorrect upgrades for my car.
To be in my honest opinion I would recommend Honda cars to anyone as the brand and the staff who work at the New Market branch as they show a high level of customer service before and after the purchase; to everyone who walks into the branch. Me and my family have owned the Civic and the Accord range since 2002 from Canada to New Zealand. So mainly I would look forward to getting my next Civic from the Honda New Market Branch itself and I would personally recommend anyone to go to Honda as you would never be disappointed.

Took my Honda Accord V6 2008 for a cambelt change and diagnosis for a jerky start on low rpm. Emil there is a really good mechanic with good customer focused skills, gives fair advise, and is a patient communicator. Manoj in the parts department is really good at explaining what needs to be done on your vehicle and the estimates I have got from him for the genuine Honda parts were actually less than other third party mechanics. Very satisfied with the service :)

We bought our brand new car from here. Super easy purchase, super friendly staff. We even got to drive the car twice for an extensive time, at least 2 hours so that our decision is not regretted in the future. Just finished one year with the car and still pumped. Had my first service and it was still economical. Love Honda!

Everytime we go there the price of the same parts have gone up 10 - 50% in one year. Will have to look elsewhere for more competitively priced parts. This has occurred consistently over the last 4 years we have owned 2 Hondas. Already some parts where so expensive here & hence bought elsewhere.

These five stars are for Michael Rodriguez, I haven't dealt with anyone else from Honda Newmarket, so I can only speak to mine and my wife's experience with Michael.
Firstly, let me say that this is not our first car buying experience. For one reason or another I've bought and sold (or assisted in the buying of) about 11 cars in the last 4 years. I've bought from private party and dealer alike, so I'm not speaking as a starry eyed, first time car buyer.
I'm from New York, and I can say with some authority that your average Auckland used car dealer would give sharks a bad name. We've had two unfortunate experiences with buying used cars from dealers and one from buying off a private party seller. I finally got so fed up I just left it in my wife's hands to see if she could succeed where I kept failing. Trust a woman's intuition I guess.
She went to Honda Newmarket and met Michael. He not only gave her a fair trade-in for our Hyundai Sonata, but also gave us the car at fair market value with a 3 year mechanical warranty and a 5 year battery warranty (we bought an Insight Hybrid). They cleaned the car so thoroughly it felt like we were driving a new car off the lot.
Once again, save yourself the time, energy and money and just go to the dealer. You might think you're saving $1,000 by going private party or by going to a random dealer, but if you have my luck it will come back to bite you.
We will be returning to Michael at Honda when it is time for an upgrade.
