Great service. Jon was fantastic and friendly. Not pushy and very understanding, as we took our time to make a decision on our purchase. When we received our vehicle, he meticulously went through all of the functions in the car with us and insisted we call him if we had ANY questions about the car. It's obvious that these guys really put the effort in to learning about their product and are passionate about selling it. Top marks!

I purchased a new Kia Stonic in July 2021. Before that I had owned 3 Suzukis over 15 years and while I loved the cars, I could no longer support a company that provided increasingly appalling after sales service. I hoped I had found an improvement with Cockram Kia. The before sales service from Kara was excellent and I even spoke to someone from the service department to allay my fears. I went ahead with the purchase and even found the over the top unveiling ceremony enjoyable.
Early August I rang and spoke to Gareth Parry, Service Supervisor re the number of random and unexplained chimes. His response was that it could be a multitude of things which wasn't at all helpful. He suggested I leave it to be sorted until the 1500km check.
I fully expected the issues to be sorted at the 1500km check on 16/Sept especially as I had emailed the details and reminded the service staff of the problems when I delivered the car. But on the drive home we realised nothing had changed.
Attempt 3 to sort this involved an email to Gareth Parry - his response was 'once we drop Covid alert levels, we have you take someone for a drive ...' This was despite your website welcoming customers back with the appropriate caution.
I'd Cc'd Kara into that email and she made contact. She was helpful all thru this sorry saga. Of the most help was Isaac at Kia in Auckland who actually listened to our concerns. After multiple phone calls and emails, several trips to Cockram Kia, the replacement of the infotainment system, the muting of the navigation system, and a great deal of stress, the problem seems to have been sorted.
My concern is that I wasn't listened to. Telling a new owner that random and unexplained chimes are a 'feature' is just bs and doesn't help anyone.
I have only managed 3 stars which is a real pity as I like the car and am now enjoying driving it. Most of those stars are for the car, Kara, and Isaac. The lack of stars are for Gareth Parry who needs to grab a dictionary and look up the word service.
And my concerns were not helped when my husband spoke to a driver of a yellow Kia Stonic NNS446 in the old Rolleston library car park. He asked her if she was enjoying her new car. She said the random beeps scared her and it seemed she'd been bullied into putting up with them. Not good enough Cockram Kia.

An absolute "Top" experience. The Sales team were very very good and we had no pressure on us at any time but were able to ask questions and take our time to make up our minds.
We visited many car dealers before deciding on what we wanted but came back to where we appeared to be taken care of best.
Jon, and those behind him, could not have done a better job of looking after us.

What a great Team! We just purchased a new Kia Sorento from Kara and the service is amazing. Not only do we love the car, but from the moment we enquired, the process of buying and then the after care is second to none! Kara even gave my daughter a soft toy to keep. The service is how it should be - they even washed it when it had it's first service!

Although I didn't end up purchasing through Cockram Kia Chch (through no fault of theirs at all!), I want to commend RJ on his fantastic service during the couple of days I was looking at a couple of vehicles at the yard from out of town. RJ had fantastic and polite communication and what really stood out for me is that even when I let him know we had purchased another vehicle, he came back to me offering assistance if he could do anything further for me when I know from past experience that most car salesmen wouldn't even bother responding in that situation. I was very impressed with the service I received and wouldn't hesitate to look for a vehicle here in future.

Im going to start with how horrible the reception staff were today. If I didn’t pay for the car in full prior to arriving at the store I would have not brought a car from here.I also wouldn’t have recommended this place which resulted in 3 other sales over the last 1.5months.I picked up my 2020 Seltos LTD today and upon arrival the the reception staff stared at us as if we were lost then didn’t say anything once I was at the desk. I understand it must be a rather low paying role to be in however having your nose up like that would have cost your store 4 sales. It was pretty bad and I feel for anyone who comes in and gets treated like this or people who feel ashamed to enter certain stores out of fear for being treated like this.
HOWEVER, I’m glad I’d brought the car prior to this because I had to stick around and meeting Kara, Sophie and Khuzwane made up for the snotty service from the woman and boy sitting at the desk.
Kara and Sophie also had great communication with me for roughly 4-3 weeks leading up to today.. really happy with every aspect of my car purchase from the sales ream.
I’m not going to point out why I think we were treated this way however if you’re young & brown or relaxed in dress wear LOL don’t be put off by the reception staff .. take yourself directly to the sales team they were all great. The other 3 people I had come in and purchase cars dealt with Jon and they were very happy with his service too 🙂

Just brought a Kia Sportage from RJ at Cockram Kia. Right from the beginning RJ listened to what we wanted and what our budget was and was only interested in selling us a car that fitted that criteria and was completely honest and up front if a car didn’t. The level of service when we purchased a new car was brilliant and they made my wife's birthday so special with a lovely balloon and flowers. Kara the salesperson was very helpful and certainly knows her way around the myriad of controls. The Kia Niro ex hybrid is very easy to drive and super economical which is so important as we want to cut both our petrol bill and CO2 emissions and have a very safe car to drive.

Wife and I went to Cockram Kia, Christchurch, originally to look at the latest Kia available for a trade on our 2014 Sorento. Found a 2018 Sorento diesel Ltd which ticked all boxes. Offered a good deal with a changeover figure that we thought we should take up. Did the deal and picked up the Ltd SUV ten days later. The deal was seamless from sales (Kara) to the business manager ( Brent). Good car, nice efficient people with a positive no drama approach to the business. Would deal with them again. When I had to replace my beloved Nissan, I went straight to Cockram Nissan. Alas, there was not a Nissan available in my price range, but the lovely Mike showed me a Kia Cerato, which he said was perfect for me. I never even took it for a test drive! By the time I got home to the West Coast, the Kia had become my new favourite. I've had her 2 years now, and Mike was absolutely right - it's the ideal car for me. Our experience buying our new E-Niro from Kara has been outstanding. Ray has done much research on E-cars and we have had a Nissan Leaf for four years. We decided to increase the range and were so impressed with the range of the Niro EV. Having no joy with the Kia agencies in Nelson, Auckland and Wellington (at least one year waiting list), Ray checked in Chch and spoke with a woman, Kara, who said she would check, called back and gave a choice of 3 Niros arriving within the next two months. I didn't believe her but Ray did. Kara assured us that the one we wanted would arrive in July. It arrived one week early.
We were met at the airport by Brandon who had a depth of knowledge about E-cars. He also felt the Niro was the best which reassured us.
He and Ray conversed the whole way to Cockram Kia.
As impressive as Kara's accurate arrival time was the predicted range. We drove 561 km to our home in Golden Bay, with one top up in Blenheim.
Kara's honesty, diligence and enthusiasm were unsurpassed! Well done Cockram Kia.
