Max and Tom were excellent in helping us get our first EV.
Max talked to us about our needs and told us what things to look for in a Leaf, which we eventually did. He was happy to even check cars from other dealers and recommend them.
Tom was also helpful during inspection and handover despite it not being his sale. We are looking forward to enjoying the EV!
A.Purchased our first EV last Thursday, for our replacement second car, a 2016 Nissan Leaf 30X. Initially dealt with James but he was away nearer the sale day then Max took over and was very helpful from start to finish. As an out of town buyer here in Nelson I was totally reliant on good honest information and was not disappointed. After flying down I collected the car met Max who explained all I needed to know and then drove back to Nelson.
Once home I shared my journey and charge points with Max to help future customers. Both he and Tom have been super helpful after pick up with any questions I have.
Overall a very easy process and professional.
J.Initially I was a little skeptical about buyer from HVS as their pricing was very sharp, which made me suspect a lower quality import, however, so far I am very happy with it. From the outset Max was extremely helpful and I can't speak highly enough of him. He offered to help us find the best car, regardless of whether we purchased from him or not. He offered honest advice and was extremely helpful. There were a few things that needed to be sorted after we purchased the car and to date he has been very good to deal with to resolve these minor issues. Highly recommended.
S.I had recently purchased Toyota Camry hybrid and my overall experience with HVS team was just awesome. On my first viewing met James, he provided me with all information even though it was the closing time. I received the trade-in value and finance application approval next day, which amazed me with their quick response. Celia (she's an asset and star at HVS) went above and beyond with the finance application and guided expectional throughout the process, what an excellent and friendly experience from Celia even my mom was amazed who was traveling. Later on met Campbell who was assigned as sales manager, as the Camry was in transit when booked it. I had taken the car to my mechanic for inspection on arrival due to past experience with other dealer. The mechanic was amazed with the car's condition inside-out and had no major problems, I handed small fix n top-up sheet to Campbell which he happily agreed to cover up. Both Celia and Campbell made the entire process an awesome and friendly experience. Thanks again HVS team for making it happen with amazing experience. A.I recently bought a Nissan Leaf from HVS Electric and Max and the team were amazing and professional. They were always there to answer my questions, allowed me to test drive a vehicle for as long as I needed to understand the EV, informed me whenever I needed to know something like battery updates/information but also there was no pressure from them on me to buy the vehicle.

G.We’ve had our Leaf nearly two years and have already done a lap of Earth in it. Still running perfectly with no maintenance done or needed. The car does exactly what they said it would and maybe a bit more. We had HVS install a tow bar for a reasonable price and it carries my bikes with ease. Post sale they gave me a charging cable port lock for free
C.Richard and Kenny were very informative when it came to Nissan Leafs. I had only decided to purchase a Nissan Leaf on the 28th of June. Popped into HVS on the 30th and made a deposit to purchase a Leaf.
They knew the difference of the models and explained things that I did not understand initially. Making my decision makings easy and fast - closing a deal within 30minutes of visiting the car yard.
These guys deserve a meal from me.
A.If you are thinking of buying an EV, I would recommend dropping into HVS and having a chat with Max. While I had done a lot of online reading about EV's, Max was able to give me a real understanding of what's important and what's not. He has put together lots of information, graphs and other useful resources to explain the ins and outs of EV's. He was very honest about battery State of Health, and HVS won't over-price cars that are over-reading on SOH. If you don't know what that is, go in and have a chat with them. :-)

S.You cannot fault the outstanding service at HVS Christchurch. After years of bad experiences with car dealerships, I experienced the best service I have ever had. Max Jin answered every one of my questions, no matter how small. His spreadsheets, graphs and graphics helped bridge the learning curve you experience as a first time electric car buyer. They gave me honest and genuine advice about which car suited me, about the car I was trying to sell and I knew I could completely trust their opinion. Things as small as giving extra batteries for my car key, to grooming my original car that I was selling privately and the walk through of every button on the Nissan Leaf. I cannot say enough nice things. This is the place to go! Thank you to Max and the team at HVS Christchurch.
I.I have been considering an electric car for a while and after doing my own research and based on the recommendation of a friend, went to HVS. Max was busy when I arrived, however asked me to look around whilst he finished prepping a car and he’d be right with me. 5 minutes later he came over and we talked about what I was looking for. We went inside and he went over some spreadsheets, explained battery degradation, cost of charging vs cost of petrol/diesel and RUC etc. I showed him a car I was looking at that was a private sale and we looked through the stock list to find something similar. Unfortunately they had sold the car I had seen online and didn’t have a similar one currently available and ultimately we bought the one I had showed him that was the private sale.
Max was completely professional and not what I was expecting from a car salesman. I was thoroughly impressed by him and the information he gave. The car yard closes at 5:00, however we were there talking about options well past that. He was a pleasure to deal with and I highly recommend him and HVS. He knew the different models available and how long the battery will last to meet or needs. He didn’t try to oversell a car to me and actually said that I only needed to buy a car that was less than the budget I’d given him (allowing for battery degradation vs how far I need to travel on a daily basis) rather than just selling me a car that was at the higher end of the budget we could afford. First rate person that I would highly recommend to anyone.
M.We really appreciated Max's help in choosing our new car. He was extremely knowledgeable and gave us lots if useful information, without pushing us into anything. We weren't expecting the car hunting process to be easy, but with Max's help it turned out to be enjoyable. We're very happy with our hybrid from HVS.

N.BEST experience at a car dealership ever. Richard knew his stuff, was friendly, helpful and straightforward. It never felt like he was just trying to make a sale. He respected my requirements and preferences, whilst also helping me understand the details specific to electric vehicles.

I.Loads of EVs here so you'll find any specific options and colour you want. Richard was very knowledgeable and the made the process easy from first test drive to purchase and helping set the car up (bluetooth, charging etc). I've had the car a week now and have been very happy with the level of service, the car and the price.
