If you're in Wellington add this to you "To do" list. It was light rain with a slight southerly. PERFECT CONDITIONS if you ask me. Big puddles and mud, The sky cleared up enough to take in some of the fantastic views from 480m down to sea level. We missed out on going up one of the rivers further due to water levels rising. Safety first, it didn't dampen the experience. Our guide Nigel didn't an awesome job. Funny and informative about the area.
Keen to go again
All gear is provided, if it's wet take a change of clothes for afterwards.

What a fantastic adventure exploring the hills and views at Wellington while enjoying the fun and frivolity of quad biking on the sheep farm. We had the best day and the tour operators were fantastic.

My wife surprised me for my birthday with an outing at Wellington Adventures Quad biking. This place takes you out of your comfort zone and then allows you to master the whole experience. Up and down mountains , through rivers , in the most beautiful place in Wellington, a true hidden gem. Great mentoring along the way , and a few hours of great memories. I cannot recommend this experience enough.

Amazing!!! I can't say enough great things about Nigel and his team. The majority of our crew were a team of nervous office ladies with pretty much no experience quad biking opted for something a little more adventurous for our xmas work do this year and so quad biking it was. At the beginning, before we even started the tour the nerves were so high amongst the ladies I think some just wanted to go back down the hill, but Nigel, Dennis and Cole patiently guided us through everything. The team loved it! Great scenery along the way and it was just great to see my team build their confidence as we progressed through the tour with your help. Absolutely exhausted afterwards but well worth our time and a great work do idea. Thank you Nigel, Dennis and Cole from the Lead Management crew-we really appreciated and enjoyed the adventure today! Thank you to Lou who also answered my last minute million and one nervous questions the day before our tour.

Awesome, a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We took control of our own quad bikes for a 3 hour journey through the mountains of New Zealand, covering all terrains from farmland and forest, to rivers and rocks. The quad bikes were easy to drive, and felt safe to use, being able to go as fast or slow as you wanted. All equipment was provided, including helmets and gear to keep us warm. Half way through the ride, we had a great lunch in the forest, and had some drinks at the very end as well. The staff were very enthusiastic, friendly, and professional. The whole experience was amazing, and would easily recommend it to anyone with a sense of adventure.

Went quad-biking with a bunch of mates from work, and some Vietnamese visitors in a Wellington southerly. So much fun. I was grinning like an idiot the whole way.
Overall about 4 hours with a nice lunch in the middle. We went through farm land, along cliffs, through forest, crossed rivers, steep slopes, through mud, rocks, riverbeds, and went all the way down to the coast. Some really beautiful views too.
These quad bikes really go for it, and I was constantly trying to drift mine over the rough terrain. The stuff they can handle is very impressive.
Nigel and Tim the tour guides were cool, and looked after us really well.
Only one thing I would be slightly careful of, if you have a nice sports car, I wouldn't take it up the rocky road up to the house where you start the tour from. Maybe bring a crappier car for that bit.
Easy to recommend this trip. I would love to do it again.

Did this a few years ago. What an awesome day!! Weather was raining and foggy so we couldn't see much (or anything), but it didn't detract from our experience. Puddles and wet tracks made for heaps of fun. Highly recommend to anyone looking for some action and adventure on four wheels.

We booked this excursion through the cruise we were on and it was one of the highlights of our trip! These guys love what they do. The car ride from the port to the mountain is a bit long and involves going up a windy road but once you are there you have some pretty nice views that you'll keep getting throughout the ride. You have to wear a helmet and they have coats, pants, boots, gloves and goggles that you can borrow. You will encounter mud and water (river crossing pending it isn't flooding) so the boots were very much appreciated. I was fine wearing just a rain jacket since the coats they have are heavy and get hot if you are there on a hot day. I definitely recommend bringing a face mask and sunglasses since you will be riding through all sorts of terrain with bugs flying around. Quads are easy to operate. You will get mud all over yourself and can leave personal belongings in the car but you'll definitely want a camera. If you do not feel comfortable driving the quad there is someone riding behind the group in a vehicle. You get to drive on a little test course for practice and can decide if you'd rather ride in the car or keep driving the quad. Be prepared for steep climbs and decents, thrill seeking sheep running to cross the path in front of you and crossing a river in about 2 feet of water. They provided drinks and food to make a sandwhich for lunch. The ride was about 4 hours long and the only bathrooms around are where you pick the quad up. There were a lot of bees around so if you have an allergy please be prepared in case you get stung.

Still the best comercial ride Ive been on.
Good bikes, great scenery and at a good pace. It was my fourth time and still enjoy as much as my first ride there. Give it a try
