Amazing experience right from the get-go- Troy helped facilitate the purchase of our new car and trade in. We are based in Auckland, so hadn’t even driven the car, but we had every confidence in Troy and his knowledge of the car, we felt very well taken care of though this journey. Doing business with Troy Howard Motors is really fantastic, I applied for a finance vehicle and the transaction is really smooth it only took me 3 hours and drove off the vehicle I purchased the same day. Troy and his staff really did a good job on sorting all the paperworks and doing a magnifocent job on tidying up the vehicle for me. Really happy and satisifed on my purchase. I recently bought a mazda 6 through Troy Howard Motors and was very pleased with Troy and his team. Troy made purchasing my car pleasurable and easy. Nothing was too much of a problem and when a minor issue did occur weeks after, through no fault of his he offered to pay half of the repair. Just purchased a car from Troy and bought it unseen on Trade Me. He offered me a fair price for my trade in and the car I bought was exactly as he described it. Being in the South Island I had some reservations but these were totally unnecessary. I was treated fairly and respectfully all throughout the transaction and I would recommend Troy to anyone looking to buy a car from an "honest" car dealer.

I recently purchased a vehicle through Troy Howard Motors, Palmerston North. Originally I had travelled from Wellington to view a vehicle I had seen online. After viewing the vehicle and deciding I didn't want it Nigel offered to buy a vehicle in for me. I did my research and told Nigel the type of vehicle I wanted. I had the pleasure of buying a car from Troy Howard Motors through Nigel recently from out of town. I found the car on Trademe and contacted them to enquire about getting an inspection done and having it transported to Auckland. Excellent, professional customer service together with a friendly atmosphere while purchasing a vehicle at Troy Howard Motors, Palmerston North. Nigel Simpson, the Sales Manager was very helpful throughout our car buying experience, knew his product and answered questions we had thoroughly and honestly. Hi Nigel, the only things we noticed after using the car is the wheel alignment was out. Had that checked and the front LHS toe setting was incorrect. When mentioned we were surprised to be told that THM would be happy to reimburse us. Awesome service. All good now and it drives really well. I also just noticed when washing that the windscreen has a number of chips which have probably been filled. Two in front a tall driver are quite bad but so long as they dont cut the wiper rubber will be okay until the screen cracks further. Otherwise we are very happy. It runs well and is comfy on a 3hr trip. It sits on the road much like the olde original mini's but with light power assist. So for now all is well and we hope it stays this way for some time. For too many years, driving has been a mundane and tedious task in my life. And I have viewed my car (Toyota Corolla) as a tool to take me from point A to point B. As I venture through life and became a father, I have less and less time for things that have brought me joy previously. I either don’t have time for them anymore or don’t have the innocence for them anymore. Then there comes this stage of my life where I need to travel longer distance for work. That one and half hour of driving each working day will certainly bore me out of my mind. When something bores you and takes your time, that thing is killing you. I thought to myself that it was time to make a change. Of all the cars that I desire, Mazda MX-5 ticks the most boxes. Good price, reliability, fun to drive. And more importantly, it makes me smile like a child when I see it. As an adult, I miss that so much. My mechanical knowledge goes as far as opening the front hood, staring at a maze of tubs, boxes and wires, and feeling completely lost. Needless to say, buying a second hand MX-5 on internet would be very intimidating to me. Will it be a lemon? Can I really trust a trader who I’ve never met before and will probably never meet in the future? Do I have the time to deal with all the problems if this transaction goes bad? After looking around for a very long time, I took the leap of faith and went with Troy Howard Motors. When a man puts his full name in his business name, you know he means business. I’m very glad with my choice. Troy is knowledgeable, responsive and patient. He attends to all my needs and concerns, and takes good care of the cars. More importantly, my gut tells me that he’s a person I can trust. You see. This isn’t necessarily a review of a car that I bought from Troy. This is really my review of Troy Howard and I give him a 10 out of 10.
