B. R.Ok, so here's the not so good bit. Mitsubishi Triton, 86000 km with a slipping clutch and still within the extended warranty. Never been offroaded and has towed a caravan (within the specified limits) for only 10000K. So it hasn't been abused and by anyone's standard, a slipping clutch at 87K is just not good. I know, it's Mitsubishi that set the standard, but considering the cost of warranty services (some in excess of 2 grand) that I've put through your establishment, you could have helped me a little better than "sorry it's not covered by warranty, it's a consumable and BTW it's going to cost you $4500 to fix your clutch".

Ok so here we are a week later and I've got a slipping clutch. My vehicle has done only 87000KM, and never been offroaded. It's towed a caravan for 10000km which was within the limits of it's towing capacity. I know it's Mitsubishi who make the decision, but after all the services Roger Gill have done on the vehicle (some in excess of $2000), it is disappointing that they didn't go into bat for me. Just an offer to replace my clutch for $4500 and a glib shrug of the shoulders.
A clutch on a ute should not be worn out at 87000km, especially not a regularily monitored and serviced one. Are Mitsubishi's junk or is this a one off?
G. W.Great experience with the parts staff. Eclipes dash said key battery was low. Changed the battery, made no difference. Didn't want to go to Manukau, so nice drive out to Pukekohe. They replaced with a reputable battery brand and sent me on my way. Thanks team.
