Si did a great job updating our 1997 Toyota Hiace from a humble weekend warrior to a wonderful self contained van that my girlfriend and I have travelled around New Zealand in for the last 3 months. Si was able to be resourceful and keep the conversion within budget, but did not sacrifice the quality or use of space. He is a wealth of knowledge and also happy to answer any questions. Cannot recommend Bedvanz enough. Very happy with the work done on our van.

Simon recently fitted a new sink, electric tap, grey-water tank and did the plumbing for all of it. He also fitted a new casing for my fridge and did an amazing job with the wiring. He's really talented, has excellent craftsmanship and a delight to deal with. Highly recommend BEDVANZ for your bespoke conversion.

Si not only has experience building great vans to travel and stay in, but he's also a certifying officer for Self Containment if you want to get that done. He has a handy workshop in Mt Cook and can offer valuable advice if you want to get your van set up. So easy to deal with.

Si was great to work with and Gimli has provided us many miles worth of good times. The van was expertly fitted with everything needed to enjoy self-contained travel. Unlike many self-contained vans you’ll find for sale, Si sets up his vans so that you don’t have to lug heavy fresh and grey water jugs back and forth when refilling and dumping. Si uses space extremely well so that his vans have ample storage. Si followed up with us numerous times after we purchased Gimli to assure that we were satisfied. I highly recommend working with Si and Bedvanz. You won’t be disappointed.

Simon is the kind, informed, and very helpful. He helped me fix my van and gave me so much useful information about the electronics and self containment. I will definitely go to him for any future improvements or repairs.

I bought Jovi to Si in September, a Nissan Serena for my Road Trip around New-Zealand. Si just finished to build her, spending many hours to sell me the perfect van. All was calculated to guarantee me the best quality that BEDVANZ pretend; mechanic motor check, long explications about functionalities and be sure that I understand all about how taking care about her. Jovi is thinking with intelligence and provides big spaces to tidy all my things. I also had all the advices from Si to organize my vanlife. You can trust Si for his professionalism and his will to make you have the perfect comfy rolling house. All my respect and thank for that.

We bought a Hiace converted by Simon at Bedvanz to a cozy, comfortable camper. You can tell that Simon understands what it takes to have a great time on the road. Clever design touches mean that seating, bedding and cooking are all usable. Being self-contained is also a great benefit when camping. His attention to detail is great. We also love Si's use of reclaimed materials and good quality extras. For example, the van came with a good quality chilly bin (coolbox) that runs from the van or the mains hookup. The leisure battery is a decent size, running the interior light for hours and giving you a 240v socket for flexibility. The stove is a good size and quality, and the 100% local wool duvet is warm enough even for a South Island roadie in Winter!
