What a great service, offer and overall super experience, car. They provided ferry ride South to North island on the ferry when nobody else would. Made my drive and trip Chch to Auckland pure pleasure, no hiccups and really amazing. Thanks and will be back!

We have rented cars from Apex quite a few time. Service is good. Staffs are nice. This time we also got an upgraded model for the car we booked. Till now we didn't feel any issue renting cars from Apex. The only reason why I would not give them 5 star is because of the price. I think there are other rental companies which offers cheaper price that Apex. It would better if they could lower their price a bit.

Had a Ford Focus for 2 weeks - great little car. Picked up and delivered to Auckland CBD. Had to wait a little while when collecting the car as they only had 2 staff on and their were a lot of people returning or collecting cars. Anyway wasn't too bad.

We returned our car in Auckland. Location is easy to find with gas station right next to it. We rented the car for 4 weeks and traveled both islands without having any problems. Rate was very good and the car-ferry ticket was already included. Negative: The car was not the newest and wasn’t in the best condition. But we thought it was still safe to travel with it. Also the car was not properly cleaned when we picked it up.

We have rented from Apex before, this time at the new premises, we found it crowded and confusing! The staff seemed stressed and flustered! When returning the car, driving it back to the 4th floor was inconvenient and dangerous with cars coming up and down the same way!! Nobody there to meet us or check the car, then having to walk back down 4 flights of stairs, when you are older is just ridiculous. We asked if we could use the lift and were refused. You need to lift your game! The price was good and the car was clean!

Super easy renting a car from Apex. They were the only ones who were able to give us a car at the last minute. Pretty cheap too at NZ$300 for 4 days. A special shout out to Nina who provided us with super customer service.

I rented a car from Apex and they were great. The customer service I received was awesome. Every employee that I encountered was super helpful and nice. Only downside is that they are located off a pretty busy street and you have to park the car in the car park garage which was a little confusing.

Dont understand the bad ratings. Was in contact with 3 different people and each one provided an excellent service. I got a car for 2 weeks that I returned after one as I spontaneously flew to Queenstown. Apex Auckland organized everything so that I can rent another car at Apex Queenstown at no extra costs. The cars were not brand new but the value for the money was good.

The customer services are excellent but I give three star just for car because the car was very dirty outside and specially inside was really dirty So it would be good if they wash the car and clean inside the car which would be fantastic Thanks

Have hired from Apex Car Rentals on two occasions. The first was in 2011 collected from Christchurch airport in Apex bus. I had hired from the UK on line so didn't really know what to get and chose cheapest. Reasonable car until it came to uphill, then if it could talk I'm sure it would have said I can't get up there can I! Had for 2 months and dropped off at Auckland. The last time was early in 2014 had car for six weeks made sure hired a larger engined vehicle. No trouble at all flew up the hills. Also hired Sat.Nav. (Global positioner) or whatever it's called in New Zealand. It went wrong almost immediately. Rang Apex up from B&B they said bring back when I said how do I find you? A good point they say and brought me another out which was perfect for the rest of the trip. I will always use Apex as had good service both times.

Used this company three times. Wellington Auckland and Auckland Airport. Unlimited ks. Only problem the cheapest road trip special car nissan sunny leaked water into the luggage compartment. Ford focus and Toyota camry excellent. Service excellent no hassles.

Experience with Apex is always good. They provide quick and comfortable service. Only issue is with their snow chains. Just make sure if you are going into snow test your snow chains.

Apex were easy to deal with, no frills and no hidden extras. I had booked a car for 7 days as it was a lot cheaper and didn't need it for so long in the end so they credited me the days I didn't use. I would use them again. Cheers!

The car was ok and for a good price. However,we waited nearly an hour to collect the car due to long queue at the store. Also the car smelled like baby poo.

No problem at all. All cars I rented were in an excellent condition. Staff friendly and got the car very fast. Returning the car really easy and without complications.

Pros: 1. The staff is friendly 2. The process has no hassles Cons: 1. They won't accept or give the cars after 5pm 2. Busiest hours are between 8-9am and then you'll have to wait a lot because they are heavily understaffed

What a nightmare we had when we went in Feb. The computers were down but no one bothered to tell us. Our car was there but the manager did upgrade it but it was stuck at the airport so another wait. 2 hours later we left

No issue. Good service. Not a five star because car was bit old for a rental and brakes could be better.

Service was good, staff friendly and cars reliable...it was all that counted for me. After bringing car back they brought us to hotel with luggage.
