Joan was my point of Contact On Sunday afternoon everthing Ran like Clockwork and I was Processed simply and effortlessly my Rental for the Trip done to Whangamata Was a 2022 Toyota Corolla Hybrid well done Avis and the Technology that's equipped in this Vehicle is Simply next level Tiptronic 10 speed Built in G.P.S and push Select Steering Wheel Assistance Plus the Comfort factor 10 out of 10 and upon Returning to Avis on a Very Delayed long Journey Vise the Customer service Star answered all my Questions Solved the Issues and was a Simply Delightful Checkout couldn't have been more happy and I was able to use their Bathroom to change clothes and my Taxi was 2 hours away I understood that as it's a Friday night there's alot of Demand for transport services well Tania Frost the No 1 superstar offered to drop me home nothing Short of outstanding So if I ever need A rental for any Reason this is the Company I will Choose As this is a Company that looks after its Clients. 100 -out of 100

We received a great vehicle! The Holden Trax was in great condition which included a sun roof, heated front seats and bluetooth connectivity. The second vehicle we received (toured North and South Island and cannot take a vehicle on the ferry) was not as nice. It was a Nissan and may have been a little older. No heated seats or sunroof. Did have a CD player! However the condition of the vehicle itself was great. No concerns with either vehicle. They made the transfer from island to island very easy. Parked and dropped the key off at the Wellington Interislander Ferry Terminal and then picked up the other vehicle in Picton. I was worried about issues with payments but so far everything is what it was supposed to be. I received a receipt for payment upon returning the second vehicle. The staff at the Christchurch Airport was great. I highly reccomend taking pictures and doing a walk around the vehicle with an AVIS employee before leaving the parking lot

In A Nutshell: -Avis gave me a bad taste in my mouth after I rented with them in Maui earlier this year, long line & took about 3 hours. -However, I am now in their VIP program, Avis Preferred & what difference it makes. -I wanted to test out this benefit by booking online prior to my arrival in Auckland, New Zealand. -The experience was transformational, skip line, give your name, pick up your car within 15 minutes. -They even upgraded my car for free. -Drop off was even easier and faster. -Just park in a Avis Preferred spot, give your keys to the rep, sign & go. Overall, Avis is good if you can get into their Avis Preferred program & the easiest way to do that is to sign up for the Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card so you automatically get the perk.

I spent a few hours trying to cancel a booking due to a flight change. The Avis support person couldn't get through to the airport office. I tried 3 times that day. I eventually got there the next day in person and managed to sort everything. In the meantime I had been charged for a booking I didn't pick up, which was refunded the next week. Quite frustrating and some wasted time. Once I got there in person for my booking everything went smoothly enough.

Easy to find at Auckland domestic airport with lots of staff to quickly assist and the formalities took no more than 5 minutes before I was out the door and in my rental. No dramas whatsoever. Highly recommend.

Book ahead via AirNZ and you'll get the best vehicle at the best price from the closest place to the domestic terminal. Don't be fooled by "lower price" offsite companies.

Easy pick up, easy drop back. I have always brand new or as new cars when renting with them. Never had a problem with the cars so far, prices are affordable, and crew very patient and polite. Just need may be an extra crew member when checking in, so as to avoid long wait... Très satisfait : voitures neuves, prix corrects, staff très poli et patient Je recommande !
