Returned an amazingly fuel efficient Toyota Corolla with 5 minutes to spare and 2 lovely gentlemen helped me get organized and one waited till my ride came, even though they had locked up for the evening. Much appreciated.

It was really bad at the begging because they literally "lost our car" so they have to ask for one in the airport Avis so we have to wait till they came (like 2 hours). Other than that we were 7 and this car was really useful, we got all our suitcases on the trunk and have a lot of space. If your driver license is not in English they wouldn't accept it, you have to have an oficial translation or do it on they web page that I post in the flyer. They don't tell you on the web page but if you want to have more people driving the car with you the Drivers Licence is not enough, they have to actually see the other people so you can't just go to pick up the car.

Have always used Avis when visiting New Zealand and have always had good service and clean well looked after vehicles. Staff have always been pleasant, helpful and efficient. Pricing has always been sensible. Not the cheapest but cars have always been in top condition. When a problem has arisen mostly when the car l had booked seemed to have gone missing they have always tried very hard to solve the problem quickly. I always check cars on pickup and take photographs. I will certainly book with Avis in the future.

Was okay for a day rental - a little pricy compared to other parts of the country but I guess it's auckland. Most dissatisfied that there is no after hours key drop box so means I need to leave key with hotel and prepay a taxi to drop in the morning - "trying harder" obviously isn't working to get the simple stuff right.

Vehicle was ready and given prompt assistance. Vehicle was in top condition and ready to go. Only difficulty was location, one way Street and very busy, you need to be in the left lane and ready to pull in to Avis.

Check for deals in their website before you hire. You'll probably get a 3rd day free or a free upgrade. Always have nice and quite new vehicles to hire.
