I made a booking through another site, and Bachcare were the hosts. I didn't realize at the time of booking that my credit card would be charged in full. The property was advertised as free cancellation up to 30 days before, a good 6 months from time of booking. I spent a bit of time trying to get in touch to ascertain when I would get my refund, and was getting nervous reading some other reviews. HOWEVER, I used the messenger app to contact Bachcare and received immediate help. I was assured my refund had been processed and was sent a receipt of the transaction, so just waiting for my bank to show it now. The service was great and I would definitely use again. Thank you

Location is stunning with an easy walk down the back yard steps to the beach. But the house itself, whilst sizable with great view is very tired. Lots of electrical stuff not working, a BBQ that's dangerous and a big deck that you cant walk on because of exposed nail heads just a few examples.

Loved our stay here. Homely, comfortable and amazing views. The spa was a hit with our two small pals, as was the piano. Apologies to any neighbours who had to hear numerous renditions of Chop Sticks. Would love to go back.

Really enjoyed our stay at the apartment - felt like home . We enjoyed dinner at the balcony watching lake Taupo at distance. Apartment is very conveniently located and very close to the town centre (about 2 mins walk) and the lake front . Loved our evening walks around the apartment . We did not use the Kitchen - but it had every possible pots and pans and ingredients if one wanted to cook . Apartment came with a washing machine . Parking was in front of the apartment and pretty easy. The only issue we found that we were unable to use the basin on the bathroom 1 . The water stopper was closed .

Ab excellent place to stay with everything you need. So clean and relaxing and quiet. Near the river so great for swimming. The house has lots to entertain the kids when they've had enough of the river. Close to town as well. Absolutely enjoyed it here - will definitely be back!

We found Bachcare to be well organized but the phone line to always be in high demand so was hard to contact via phone. The group of us stayed in hamber Springs in a lovely place. However we were disappointed the home wasn't completely clean as there were alot of bugs. We also paid a cleaning fee but also were told we must clean the home before we left. Would have been nice to not have such a big fee when the home was fully cleaned by the group of us

The bachcare voice message provides you a mobile number to call which is great until you call it and realise it takes you back to the bach care number you originally called and so you gp around in circles. Until I txd the mobile ans got a response. It's quite expensive via bachcare compared to other platforms. But it has better search functions and is far more user friendly and responsive.

The property was in a great location for our young family, with plenty of room on the property [inside and out] and across the road from the beach, grassed area and childrens playground. We were extremely disappointed in the cleanliness of the property and lack of response from Bachcare with our issues.

This was a clean comfortable place and in a handy location to the beach and boat ramp. It does not have Freeview TV as advertised and the single bed in one of the rooms is soggy and not suitable for an adult.

Stayed here over the long weekend and this place is amazing great location only mins from town and beach, nice and clean and stunning views of Mount maunganui. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed in a lovely apartment in whitianga. The property was as described and well located with great facilities. The booking process was easy and the communication was excellent. Would definitely book with Bachcare holiday homes again

Jacks Lodge is an incredible place for a family holiday, the accomodation was outstanding. The comfort of the beds was amazing like sleeping on clouds. Eva and Markus were amazing so helpful and great communication throughout. Jacks Lodge is more impressive than the photos show and we will be coming back again. Everyone had an awesome time here so close to town but far enough away to enjoy the views and peace and quiet.

The home we booked exceded our expectations, had plenty of pathroom space and bunks, The multiple bathrooms where a pleasure and the open plan kitchen/living space was great for socializing as a family, also Plenty of heating throughout. I got good instructions via txt messages on what was expected and what to do.

Stunning property. Very clean and tidy in and outside. We would love to comeback again!

We thoroughly enjoyed the experience we had in this property the house was well maintained clean beds were soooo comfortable and it was very very accommodating for my family . We loved our experience so much we are already planning our next trip back to this property we loved how nice and big it was the view was just so beautiful to wake up to everything was just amazing Thank you so so much again we look forward to re booking with you's again.

Absolutely cannot recommend Bachcare enough.. They are AMAZING with making sure your holiday home is perfect and the staff who greet you, are always warm and welcoming and just a text away, should something happen. Highly recommend ya'll check them out for your next getaway

Excellent place with everything well equipped, Serena was very lovely and helpful too. She responded to email very fast and explained things so clearly. We all had great relax time over there. Will looking forward to coming back next year.

UPDATE: The team have since remedied the issues I had regarding our booking in the Mount. We had a great stay and the accommodation was perfect. The service by the holiday manager was great and we really appreciate Bach Care sorting the previous issues. DO NOT BOOK WITH BACHCARE!!! I have had two bad experiences this week: We stayed at a property that had blood stains on the duvet, dirty cotton tips on the sideboard and super uncomfortable beds.... The other problem was bookings made over COVID. I booked for the Mt Maunganui Half Marathon in August however we couldn't leave Auckland due to level 3 COVD lockdown and the event we were booked for has been postponed. Bachcare said they would move our booking, to the new date however after a few weeks they finally sent me a credit. I asked them to confirm our booking and I was told to call. After calling I was advised I had to go online and use my credit, so I went online to book the property and the prices were not $200 more than when booking. I said I wanted a refund and I will find something elsewhere. To which I have been told there are no refunds and that was it. They don't care and they are not prepared to help. So I have had to pay the extra $200 just to use the credit so we don't lose the $1400 already paid!!! I have since heard lots of stories about their terrible service and communication. I won't be using them again.

My sister and I stayed in Queenstown for 6 nights. Our home exceeded expectations. It was beautiful, clean, modern and comfortable. The Bachcare team was fantastic to work with. They were in touch with useful information about our stay from the moment we made our reservation and they were there upon our arrival to check us in and help us get settled. I would absolutely recommend them and I will be certain to use Bachcare again in the future.

We had the best weekend here. The property was stunning and ticked all the boxes for us. So much room with excellent indoor outdoor flow. The location was handy to everything yet peaceful at the same time. The facilities are excellent and well cared for. I would not hesitate to recommend this property for either a family vacation or a couples retreat! We will definitely be back!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Hilltop Vista, Taupo. Wonderful service from the time of the booking through to our full refund of the deposit. The property was stunning yet comfortable, well-appointed and pet-friendly! Accommodated four couples really well - we all had our own rooms and plenty of space. last week we stayed in a really neat house at 1 Ritchie St in Arrowtown for 4 nights which we booked through Bachcare. We had travelled down there with a friend from Australia to see the Autumn colours and go to the Festival Parade etc. The house was just excellent and our holiday manager Sara Clark was wonderful. She kept in touch and accommodated our arrival time without any bother. The house was very clean and comfortable and we would recommend it to anyone. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had a fantastic weekend and would highly recommend staying at Blue Heron Lodge via Bachcare. Communication was easy and prompt and the accommodation was clean and comfortable with all the creature comforts of home. Loved the additional garage storage which was great for our bikes and other outdoor equipment we carted along with us.

Bachcare managed a home I stayed in. Communication was very good, and both Bachcare and the local Bach manager were quick to respond to questions. With 2 days before arrival at the property we made a last minute decision to add a linen service, and that was able to be added without problems. Overall a very good experience.

The Location was stunning we had an amazing stay and The Beachsider was everything it set out to be and more we had a wonderful time and look forward to a return visit. I booked a holiday home through BachcareNZ almost a year before my holiday. Their communication was always fantastic and a couple of weeks before my trip I was contacted by them giving further details of who my contact person was. Florence was great to deal with and always replied very quickly. She met us at the house on our arrival and showed us around. We had a small issue in the house for which she arranged to get someone round within half an hour and had it was all sorted. I also received my bond/deposit back in a timely manner. I have no hesitation in recommending Bachcare to book your holiday. The home in Queenstown that we rented was also beautiful and clean with amazing views! Thank you for a great experience!

Harbour View ticked all the boxed. It was in a quiet location, just a short hilly walk into town. The house was clean, tidy and great for adults or families. We would definitely recommend to others and stay again. Bachcare team were helpful and very friendly! We will be booking again soon :)

I am a first time user of Bachcare and was totally impressed with the professionalism shown in all my dealings with them from booking accommodation through to meeting Mike the Batchcare property manager when we arrived at the property. Accommodation was of an incredibly high standard and I would certainly use them again and would recommend them to others. This is the second time we have have had the privilege of being able to stay at this fantastic residence - the location is just terrific with awesome views of the lake, and the flexibility of sleeping arrangements is just perfect for multiple couples (or extended family) looking for accommodation in Taupo. Bachcare were once again great in all forms of communication regarding the booking, and Susan as the property manager was just magic in meeting us at the property to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable again!! Definitely a 10 out of 5...thank you!!

Our stay in Matapouri through Bachcare was absolutely fantastic as the property provided us with great facilities and a lovely environment. I would highly recommend this particular property as the location was perfect in a beautiful setting and a great neighbourhood. Highly recommend Bachcare Holiday Homes. We enjoyed our stay at the holiday home and found the staff member who greeted us to be so helpful. On arrival in Hanmer Springs, on a particularly cold day, the friendly staff gave us a warm welcome and showed us around the house which was lovely and warm thanks to her having lit the fire well in advance of our arrival. Fantastic!

We had a fantastic stay at Little Lockwood. There were games and books for the kids, the dogs had a blast and my parents loved the sleep out. The location was excellent - short walk to the lake and a stone's throw to a lovely playground. Really family friendly and comfortable. Thanks so much!

Excellent communication throughout from start to finish. The bach was perfect and even had the lights left on for us when we arrived which was welcoming. We had an issue during our stay and our bachcare manager was on hand to help straight away which was a huge relief. Would definitely use Bachcare again.

Awesome place, great views of both the lake and mountains in the distance from the 2nd floor dining and lounge. Great amenities, wonderful bedrooms all on the ground floor, fantastic bathrooms with bath and shower, grounds are fully fenced for small children and TVs in many rooms. Lovely place. Good for medium sized groups. Ideal location, close to the estuary, beach and dairy. Outdoor set up was also great for chilling.

We recently stayed at May Cottage in Arrowtown for Queens Birthday Weekend. We had 3 couples and intended to go cycling while we were there. We were able to store our bikes in the lockup garage on the Property. We were greeted by Rachael from ( Bachcare) at the property when we arrived. She showed us around and made us feel welcome. There had been a lot of frosts and she advised us that we may have the water pipes freeze while we were there. Luckily we had no issues. The house was warm and spacious with heaters in each bedroom, a large gas fireplace in the lounge and a heatpump. The kitchen was huge with a large table which we seemed to congregate around. There was plenty of room for all of us and we could even do our laundry while we were there and us the clothes dryer. This is a wonderful property and I would recommend this property to anyone travelling to Arrowtown. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Amazing house! We loved our long weekend at Wonderview. The house is beautiful, with stunning views throughout, very clean, modern quality appliances, cosy and warm for the winter months and with a fantastic spa. A short walk to the beach down the road and walks around the coast. Great restaurants nearby - esp Rothco. Will definitely stay again. We spent a week in Mt. Maunganui at The Nest - Te Kohanga - what a beautiful modern large home. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there while we were there for a netball tournament. Even better that it took us 2 minutes to get to the courts and we were straight across the road from the beach for the girls to do their colds in the sea. Very modern, loved the warmth of the house and the space. Upstairs was great if we needed to have some quiet time and the kitchen is very modern and beautiful. The bathrooms and bedrooms were lovely too. Can't rate this place enough!

We had a fantastic winter break in Ohakune and the level of service provided was excellent. The lights and heaters were left on for us because we were arriving late and the house was cleaned to a high standard. Would highly recommend using Bachcare.

Had a great weekend at Panoramic on Paku. House was beautifully clean and the views were stunning. Lots of room in the house. A well equipped kitchen and a great garden with a trampoline for the children. Bachcare rep took good care of us. Easy to organise and went without a hitch

Lovely little bach. Pretty basic and small but in a great location and lovely outlook of Palm Beach. Neat and tidy. Was great for a quiet getaway for two! Great to be able to bring the wee dog along too. Property manager was very flexible and obliging.

I have used Bachcare twice now to find holiday accomodation. I have been pleased with the ease of using the website and choosing a suitable place which is true to the photos and description. The local representatives have communicated clearly and been friendly and responsive, eg this latest time they had to call on us 3 times when one electric bulb after another gave out.

Last minute booking for my husband and me and our adult daughter home for a brief holiday from Canada. We all love and feel very connected to Cook's Beach - our daughter married here and we used many Bachcare homes on that occasion. This bach was - honestly - basic. Good outside space with a picnic table, but if you anticipate being here for any length of time bring the board games. But easy walking to the sea in summer, and to Go Vino, one of the best bistros I know.

Fun at Whangamata We stayed at an awesome bach - property ID 4151- The Property manager Katrina was awesome and really helpful on what was available locally and information on what we needed to know regarding the property . This was the first time of Using Bachcare and as a top 5% tripadvisor I would give it a 5 out of 5 for this bach and the bachcare service. The supermarket is local- beach a couple of roads away - peaceful location - we so totally chilled out and its had a new renovation and looks really sharp - my family travelling with us from over seas had never holidayed like this or been to whangamata and loved both- we will be back and use Bachcare again. Easy to use service, great communication and awesome follow up. Thanks Guys

First time using bachcare and was greatly impressed with the level of service, communication and easiness. I had my booking included with linens and I got pretty much hotel level towels which was a plus :) bach was well ventilated and you can tell was thoroughly cleaned. I would use bachcare again for my next getaway.

Fabulous property just outside Queenstown. Modern, well equipped and generously provisioned it slept 7 adults comfortably. Easy to view, select and book via website through to meeting manager on arrival to talk through the controls and facilities. All in all a great experience that played a huge part in a great holiday Get away. Would definitely use again

We really enjoyed our stay at the French Colonial Cottage in Akaroa. It has been beautifully restored. Very cosy. We loved wandering through the orchard. Just wish it was sunnier then we could have enjoyed a wine in the gorgeous outdoor area!

We had an amazing 3 nights at this property. Very cosy and well equipped. Everything you need to relax, plus excellent location to explore all the local tourist amenities. A 5 minute walk to the beach and a local small shop and tourist information station. The only thing to improve the experience would be a Wifi connection as we have children in the UK and we need to be able to be contacted, but having said that it was quite nice to be "off the grid" and a nearby cafe/ kayaking tour company had free WiFi. We arrived late after the afternoon ferry from Wellington, but the house was warm and welcoming. The housekeeper popped in to check all was ok which again was a nice touch.

Immaculate property just across the road from Buffalo Beach and within 5 mins walk to town. Lovely warm pool and very clean. Very well priced and will definately book again. We even had a last minute request 2 days before we arrived and the lovely lady made sure we were all accommodated. And as for Whitianga, just beautiful.

Great holiday home for extended family or a couple of families together. Big comfortable living area, good kitchen and 3 bathrooms made for a good holiday for 10 of us. Excellent outdoor living area as well. A bonus being able to bring our dog with us.

We loved where we stayed in Ohakune at the Rima House! Very clean, inviting and great communication with booking our stay. We weren't fussed with meeting and greeting or goodbyes and communicated with the Manager via txt. The kids loved having so much space to run around and play! Very relaxing for my family of 7.

We stayed at the Bream Bay Cottage and absolutely loved this cute and cheerful kiwiana bach, I recommend Bachcare and this property 100% to anyone who is looking for accommodation in the area. A very comfortable, clean place-it was ideal for a large family group of 7 adults and 2 babies. It was great to have a private boat ramp and a jetty. Our manager was excellent.

Great stay over Waitangi Week at Easties Manner, Rings Beach. Spotless, roomy and so close to the beach. Suited our 2 families with babies and teenagers. Enjoyed the games room and hired surf boards locally. Special thanks to Serena who looked after us and answered all our questions

Booking a holiday home with bachcare is so easy and fast. My family and friends now book homes with them. The houses they have available, cater to every need from our 14 person family holiday in Ruakaka, to our 4 person Christmas holiday in whangamata. Plus the added security that there is someone available 24hrs during our stay. We now only book with bachcare. Great service everytime

We stayed at 3 doors down in the beautiful location of Matarangi in the beautiful Corimandel! 3 doors down was a lovely home and Leanne, the property manager, bent over backwards to ensure our stay was the absolute best it could be! Wonderful property, great kitchen and bathroom, lovely deck to enjoy a wine on and so close to the beach! Totally reccomend this place to anyone that wants to check this beautiful part of the world out!

Stayed in a Bachcare property at Ohakune and loved it! All in place when we arrived although the property would need a bit more cleanliness (nothing major but a few crawlers inside!).

We had a lovely holiday at the bach in the bush behind Whangapoua. It is great for a couple, being just one bedroom, and offering peace, privacy, and beautiful views. The bachcare manager was very helpful and prompt with emailing and meeting us on arrival and departure. We would definitely use them again.

It's a nice little property and very close to the shops at Maunganui strip. John and Lynette did a great job in preparing the house for our stay. We will definitely stay again when we're there. Thanks.

Lovely sunny bach in the middle of Matarangi Beach. We loved having an ensuite!! The outside shower was a real bonus too. We were also really impressed with the strength of the water pressure which continued if 2 showers were running! We would definitely stay there again.

Bachcare Homes I've stayed in have been great, with the personal service of being met by the Bachcare Manager on arrival, not only does it give that personal touch and accountability to ensure there are no 'surprises' for us when we arrive but also gives confident that assistance is nearby if the need arises.

We had a really relaxed time at Treed even with 2 families sharing including 2 nine week old twins. The spacious living areas and verandas gave us plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the sea view.

Great stay through Bachcare, lovely home in Ruakaka with all we needed. Very comfortable for 6 adults, peaceful location, close to a stunning beach. Lovely deck, looking out onto a lovely creak. Would recommend strongly for both short and long breaks. Close to shop, short run into Whangarei, nice golf courses both in Whangarei and Waipou.

We stayed at Kelmarna - Ponsonby Holiday House, and we loved every minute of it! The house is beautiful, is in a wonderful location, and has all of the amenities you would need. Our family of five had a great time and hope to return someday!

Recently used these guys to try and book a bach for New Years. Nowhere during the booking process did their T&Cs appear on the screen for me to read. It wasnt until I had paid my deposit that I was told the way I had booked was incorrect and I didnt have enough days either side of my requested dates for them to be able to confirm my booking. I emailed them back to request a different property we had our eyes on only to be told the next day that the place we wanted was fully booked and that was it. They have refunded my money which is good but they havent tried to help me find another place. Quite disappointed. However their website is very easy to use but I would suggest they work on their customer service to help those who are unsure or clearly need help.

Must stay.... House is very equip to your needs, spacious and close to the beach. Awesome property managers welcoming and very friendly.

Our family love this holiday home... it truly defines the Kiwi Bach. It's spacious and has all the amenities you could need for a break away. Our kids love this bach so much it's a yearly holiday for us now.

Beautiful home, fully equipped, lovely and clean and very comfortable. It was perfect for our group of four couples to enjoy our mid winter get together in a home away from home.

We stayed at Rivendell in Horopito. What a lovely place. Warm, cosy, ample room for a large group. Well equipped. The children want to return, as do we. Close to Ohakune, mountains and attractions. Character house with modern amenities. Very easy to find and access. Recommend.

We stayed in Nelson in Baxter's Cottage, it was very nice in a heritage part of south Nelson NZ. Bach care were easy to deal with and very professional.

Really love using bachcare .we traveled from Canada to new Zealand and used bachcare several times as well as air bnb . One thing I like about new Zealand is how everything is included in the price ...with bachcare this is it's only down fall .having to pay extra for cleaning and linen is annoying and a hassle .the houses with bachcare have been stunning and the bachcare hosts have been very nice,very approachable and quite down to earth .we would definitely use them again

We had a great stay in Akaroa, Canterbury found it easy to book and were very well looked after being met when we arrived and left so there was no worries getting all our questions answered

We really enjoyed our time at Cobden Drive in Napier. The beds were comfy and lighting the wood burner after we came home at night was a real treat and warmed the whole house.

Booked down at Kuratau beside the lake for a snow trip. The property was perfect for a weekend getaway with friends or school holidays with the family. Top notch service! everything was easy!

We had a lovely stay but were disappointed by the lack of communication from the Bachcare agent. We never met them and at the end when I made some comments about the house and said that we had left the property, I got no reply.

Bachcare is our go to bach rental site. The best thing is that baches shown are actually available, perfect for us as we do mostly last minute getaways. Holiday Managers are always personable and baches are always clean and tidy on arrival.

I have always found my interactions with Bachcare to be professional and I was kept well informed throughout the whole process. They are my provider of choice for holiday homes.

Bach was a little older than what the picture shows otherwise very spacious property, ideal for kids and big family. We felt secure and property manager was very helpful

This was a beautiful house that the lucky winners of this raffle really enjoyed. This lady took her adult children to where their family came from and they had a blast. The adult kids jumped off the bridge into the water like they were kids again

The laketop Retreat home in Acacia Bay Taupo had plenty of space for all our family and guests also outside there was enough parking space for three tow vehicles with cars on trailers, and very cosy with the wood burner cranked up after a day car racing at the Bruce Mclaren motorsport park along with a awesome view of the Lake and Taupo.

The place is a nice little quiet town. The house and the view is amazing too . Definitely will recommend it .

Hi to the world out there!!...if you are reading this post you will realize what you are missing out on...we had the most awesome time in Paihia our place over looked the water front and in the mornings we had awesome views ...walk down to town to a beautiful cup of Char... what more can you ask for...neighbors coming in with a whole leg of prime ham...fresh rolls...cheese...mmmmm fresh coffee brewing lol...and we had five lovely days there...also our lady who looked after us was soooo special...we actually formed a lovely friendship...awesome one Bachcare Holiday Homes well done...l have also rented two other homes from you and positively enjoyed our stay...from one big whanau kiaora!!!....
