Reviews of Cityhop Car Share
M.City hop cars are an amazingly convenient concept. Our car was stolen so we needed to get around and we decided to give this a go since we see a car near our place. The rates are good and the cars are kept in a well maintained condition. Would highly recommend it and it’s very secure especially when you need to get around urgently and run errands unlike an uber you have the convenience of being able to get around your own pace. I had an issue with unlocking the car but a quick call to their support team and it was resolved immediately.
M.Such a great idea. Loved the whole process from signing up and getting our van. It saved us having to get a trailer. Also was affordable and easy to get to a van. Loved the idea of unlocking with a card and the keys were secure with the van which was great for me as I loose keys ALL the time. We loved being able to book it online and extending the time was easy. Would totally recommend. Huge thanks CityHop.
J.Great idea, love the option to hire a car for a few hours and still be able to extend. Login to the app is super easy and quick.
I had a little issue to unlock the car which was solved through the customer services within a couple minutes.

P.We lived in Auckland for two years and never owned a car, despite every possible human being advising us against this. Cityhop was the best thing we could have asked for. We used it for big groceries and day- & weekend trips using their available promotions. We never had any problems with either their cars or customer service. Can absolutely recommend.

Managing a booking is a little difficult as you need to log back in to the system every time (an app would be much easier), but overall super convenient and affordable- we’ve even got to a point where we get jealous if we see people getting in to “our” car :)

A.Great service if you are close to where one of their cars are parked, and there's a lot of places... as soon as you start looking for them, they are everywhere. I'm not sure when they added vans to their fleet but there's one parked at my local Mitre 10 and it's brilliant! I recently needed to buy a full sheet of plywood and instead of the hassle of organising delivery, I just grabbed a van and did it myself. Super convenient and saved me money too.

S.CityHop is a good, inexpensive car-sharing option with a low monthly membership fee. We found the Hi-Ace and RAV4 particularly useful for moving house.
