I took this wonderful car on an adventure 2000+km around the North Island. Ezi Car Rental was so great. I found VERY cheap rentals but the companies with very low prices have awful ratings and may have old and damaged vehicles. For a wonderful off season price, I reserved a car through Ezi online. I was promised a 2018 or 2019 Yaris vehicle and was provided an upgrade to a Corolla Hybrid when I came to pick the car up. It was spotless and in awesome condition. It took under 10 minutes to pick up and start out! I didn't need any additional service but pick up and drop off staff were super friendly. I would 100% recommend the company. *** Side note: I had planned to use Google maps, but I was upgraded to a car with a navigation system and it was amazing. The roads in NZ are not as easy to navigate as those in the USA and many other countries because the highways often go straight through small towns. Most highways are two lanes (one each way). Consider a navigation system. It was so great to be able to relax and listen to instructions ("At the roundabout in 300m, take the third exit"). Roads are not always clearly marked and change names often. Navigation helped as I was travelling alone. Enjoy. The countryside is breathtaking.

Ezi Car has a complete package of your needs in renting a car, with its price, and covered insurance but most of all, their customer service as they were able to help with all of my needs in renting the car, highly recommended as they have a heart for the Customer.

I have been renting cars for last ten years; nevertheless, I should say that Ezi Car Auckland is definitely the best one ! Rent a car companies seek for money for everything ( $20 for gps, $33 for extra driver) I believe if there is no regulation they ask extra money and paper work for steer and wheels, Ezi Auckland is not like others, everything is easy, book your car go and get it in a 5 minutes. No extra charge for usual service. Smiley faces around ready to help for anything. Brand new cars in good condition, trustworthy. Keep up doing great work guys, I’ll definitely rent from Ezi moving forward! Thanks

We have had an excellent experience with this company on our 9 day rental from Auckland and back to Auckland Airport. The pick up was easy as was the drop off. The car was excellent and it was great value compared to the larger chain companies. I would definitely rent again.

2020.12.19.SAT. Policy was changed. If you have a debit card, you must pay for 400 dollars for bond.(even you booked a car for 200 dollars.) Only Credit card is you do not need to pay for 400 dollars bond. It is also not even Visa logo in your debit card. And your name is definitely on your card. There is never any other way to use it, Unless your name is in your card(no bank app or something). . Before that, I was suerly a regular member(I used to book cars almost every months since I knew Ezi Rental Car.) . Staff is amazingly kind and No cancellation fee. I used car in South Island travel. 😄👍

I have used ezi car rental multiple times when I lived in Auckland. Their website is very easy to use to make a booking and it's completely hassle free to make any changes to your booking. Excellent customer service and new clean cars. Would 100% recommend using Ezi.

Had great experience renting with Ezi. Both pick up and drop off were very quick and easy. The staff in the city branch are friendly and helpful and the cars are new and well maintained. Definitely recommend!

Overall pretty good experience from Ezi Car. Rate was great and process was quite easy. A let down was that one of the car seats we hired was absolutely filthy. We asked to swap and were told it was all that they had so we had to clean ourselves with wipes we had on hand before we could even place one of our children in the seat. The staff didn't seem all too concerned with the state of the seats. Better care for things like this, especially when used for safety of young children would be reassuring.

Staff are friendly and helpful both when collecting and dropping off the vehicle. Everything was explained clearly and in detail. We received a nippy new car at an extremely reasonable rate. We will definitely use Ezi Car Rental again.

We rented a car at the Auckland Airport. The location of Ezi Car Rental is off site. Pick up from the airport was very satisfactory. We arrived at Ezi Car Rental and it took an hour by the time we obtained our rental car. Only one person was ahead of us and only one person was behind the desk. We waited half an hour for the person ahead of us to get their rental car. It took half an hour to process us for our rental car. No paperwork was prepared ahead of time and the individual serving us was very slow. Quite often he left the desk to do something. I had to explain that we also paid for one way service (drop off car in downtown Auckland) for our return. He was confused by this and had to get manager approval. The Ezi employee did thank us for our patience. The check-in process for the car was awful and added to our delay of getting on the road. Everything was smooth sailing after we got the car. Returning the car downtown Auckland was extremely easy and very satisfactory.

I would like to thank you to EziCarRental. I had a family matter and needed a car for a long term. Luckily I found you on Google. Staffs were friendly and processed all booking smooth. The car I rented was clean and tidy. It was almost a latest model. After two months' rent I returned the car and called a taxi. The uber driver also loved EziCarRental. We had a very positive experience renting with Ezi on our recent 4 week trip to NZ at both the Auckland City office for the North Island, and again at the Christchurch Airport office for the South Island. We made both our reservations directly and easily on the Ezi website before leaving on our trip. Everything is clearly listed and explained with little of the fine print that causes most such contracts to be indecipherable. The cars we specified were exactly what we received, the service at both counter locations was quick and friendly, and the contracts at both places had everything we had specified on our booking- no more, no less. We went for the full insurance, which of course made it somewhat more expensive, but it turned out to be a good decision when we accidentally got a scrape on one of the wheel wells on one of the many 1 lane bridges. I wholly recommend them without reservation.

I called around Auckland to heaps of car rental places and no one had anything. Then I called Ezi car hire and I was instantly delighted. They had the perfect 8 seat car for us, and the service was great.Also, it was really easy to drop the car off at the airport a very early check. in definitely worth 5 stars for this car rental company.

Picked up our car that we reserved from Auckland City branch. The paperwork was efficiently dealt with and the price was as advertised on the internet with no surprises. The car was clean and reliable. The price was not the most competitive but it was certainly amongst the best.

Great experience, fast pickup and drop off procedure at Auckland City branch, excellent prices. Car (Toyota Corolla) was clean, almost new, only 25000 km with great equipment like reversing camera, collision warning and lane keeping warning. Ezi car will again be my choice when I come back to New Zealand!

The service was great and the staff were friendly. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment time and got the rental car very quickly. Overall, I was happy with the car rental and didn't have any issues. The return was easy. No complaints.

These guys are great! The people who work there are funny and laid back, all the care about is that you would have a great experience. Their cars are cheap and very well maintained, I've rented from them a bunch of times. I would recommend skipping the insurance and getting your own by, for example credit card? can be much cheaper over the long run!

I wish I could give 5 stars because the staff is really helpful, specially the man with glasses is very polite and explains every detail with patience. I have rented a car in Ezi for 3 times and everything was easy and fast to manage. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because there was a girl in the mornings whose attitude was really bad: she was yawned while attending clients, she also prepared a coffee after attending a client having queue of other people waiting... To be honest these things tarnish the image of the company. I also tried to get 1 coke from the machine but it was turn off.

We checked rentals in several companies in Auckland, EZI offered the best contract (price, insurance - zero liability). All in one price without additional conditions. We received Totyota Corolla '18 with a very low mileage. We used it 13 days on both islands. We covered over 4500 km and didn't have any technical problems with the car. We dropped off, refueled, washed and dusted the car so there were no problems at handing over. Service very helpful and polite. We recommend EZI. Thanks for your help on an exciting journey!

We had a very easy pick up at Auckland airport, thanks to the shuttle service to the office, and our Toyota RAV4 was in great condition. We drove over 1800km around the north island, in comfort. Our drop off in Auckland city was quick and easy. Staff at both centres were friendly and helpful. We will definitely use Ezi again.

The service was great. The car was awesome, neat and clean. The only reason I took one star is that the price was a bit high. Since we were short of time we had to proceed with that. Other than that it was a really good experience

Everything went very smoothly from booking in the UK over the Internet to collecting the car and returning it to the city centre. I'd definately use this company again. The Yaris I hired was super and much more modern than mine at home. The only main issue was not with the company but trying to drive an automatic for the first time out of a very busy city after pick up was very stressful indeed. I don't recomend collecting the car from the city centre at rush hour If you are intending to drive in New Zealand I'd try and read up on road junctions before you come as they have some very different junctions to the UK and I still have no idea who has right of way at some of them!

Very pleased with the friendly service! We picked up the car from Auckland City and dropped the car off at the airport prior departing for Oz. When we dropped the car off we were asked if we filled the car up with petrol, which we didn't. The very friendly lady drove us to the petrol station so we could fill up and then dropped us off to the airport!!!! Nice touch!

Why look elsewhere or at the big name players in car rentals? From the online booking to customer service and the car itself, Ezi Car Rentals provided excellent service. Prompt replies on queries and good local information on roads, tolls, fuel and places to see made them very easy to deal with.

Very nice staff and cars in a great condition. I do not recommend purchasing a full tank from them though. Since it is difficult to come back with an empty tank but easier to fill it up. There should be at least 10 L in a nearly empty tank so you are also charged for this!

Booked a yaris earlier this year from EZY! Boy, the service here is top-notch. Easy pick up and everything else is self explanatory, also drove about 1500 Kms. what I particularly loved about them was - my booking was over due and i had totally mixed up my date of return, so called the customer care to enquire how can i have a extension on the vehicle, they were quickly change my return date to the following day with no extra cost! I would any day without a doubt will go for a EZY rentals! Thank you!

Very good car, good counter experience, very reasonable rates. I was fortunate enough not to need any roadside assistance, so I can’t speak to that. But otherwise, this seemed to me to be a very well-run rental car operation.

Excellent service. Value for money and the full insurance included road side assist with ni additional cost unlike other companies. 2 drivers included as part of the price. No extra charge for being 22.They also emailed me to return my wallet that i left in glove box. Highly reccomend, would use again.

Not the cheapest car rental in Auckland area but convenient for city centre close to SH16/SH1. All cars are automatic gears and no extra frills. I had to add water and pump up the tires soon after leaving the depot so maybe a little attention to maintenance would help. Open a little later to help with renting for a full day and not close at 5pm

We’ve always used Ezi Car. They have a good selection of decent spec fairly new cars and seem to be the best value for that type of rental. Service is generally pretty quick and friendly... and they make it super easy too.

The car worked wonderfully with one exception. The brakes were EXTREMELY sensitive each morning or when it had not been run for 5-6 hours. It was dangerous to drive until the brakes were used for about 5 minutes to "wear off' the moisture or whatever was causing the problem. I was told all the cars of this model had the same problem.

A big thank you to Sherif who was our knight in shining armour when he came to our rescue when we needed assistance in the car park. Great service and car was modern and clean. Definitely recommend this Ezi Rental business.

Car I hired was Kia Carnival, there were no hidden costs. Car was very clean and crisp. Brand new model, getting the car was pretty quick and hassle free and so was dropping off. Would be nice to have couplenof hours of grace period for drop off because in our case we had to wake up very early morning to return. Bit mor flexibility would have fit you guys 5 stars.

Easy pick-up, great car, no issue drop-off (at different location). The only negative is that they didn't have a GPS to hire in Queenstown airport as they were all rented out. This complicated my journey immensily. I think they should have a GPS for every car, period.

Easy pickup service from the airport to their off-site location. Great RAV4 to drive, wasn't expecting such a new vehicle, but greatly appreciated. Returned the vehicle to their city location which was only a short walk back into town.

We hired a SUV for 1 month to drive around North Island for our honeymoon. We were promised a 2016/2017 Toyota RAV4 and that's what we got. It looked brand new and was so clean it looked like it had never been used. The EZI team were easy to deal with at pick-up, having everything sorted within 15 minutes. They gave us helpful advice about tolls and speed cameras. They fitted a child seat for our 2 year old and ensured it was tight. The EZI office had a large variety of free travel guides and maps as well. The car drove like a dream and made our trip one to remember. Drop-off was just as easy. Overall, we were really worried about car rental and had a hard time deciding which provider to go with, after much research I picked EZI and I'm proud to say I made the right choice. Keep up the good work!

Easy to deal with and nice modern cars. Windscreen on the inside was not wiped or cleaned prior to renting which made driving a bit annoying as had to stop and wipe several times but otherwise recommended thanks.

Best car rental in CBD - open later than the competitors so you can drop your car off instead of paying more than the rental cost to park it over night in the city.

Very easy to deal with from initial booking online to veh pick up at depot, luca was very friendly and helpful on both sides of the rental, near new 23,000km on hire veh, excellent condition and no issues with the car during trip. Quick drop off and assisted with arranging a taxi for ride back to Auckland CBD. Would recommend and use ezi car if opportunity arises.

The whole process from booking through collection and return was easy and relaxed. I had a query after booking and the response was quick and the question answered. The vehicle was exactly as ordered, not a similar class as can happen. It was well prepared and in excellent condition . I would recommend Ezi to all.

I was expecting a Hyundai but got a Toyota instead (much bigger) which is what I really needed that time. All in all, the ride is well maintained and I did not get any problems in riding it and returning the van.

Rented a car here for over 3 weeks. Process was simple and enjoyable. Unlike many bigger/more expensive car rental places it's very straight forward! Highly recommend!

Just simple direct good service. Being a nerd, I always read the fine print with car rentals , and have never a case where they were so readily understandable and readable. It was clear what you were not/getting and they stood by everything.(why not 5 stars? I never give 5 stars)

28Sep16 I was a sceptic about EZI car because I booked a 12 seater van online about a month ahead of the required date and the process was too EASY and straightforward to be believable. About a week before the pickup date I phoned the 0800 service number to check if the 12 seater van really seated 12 people. ABSOLUTELY said the cheerful young woman who answered my call. AND THE VAN HAS A SPECIAL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT THAT TAKES TEN LARGE SUITCASES AND TEN SMALL ONES. Does that sound too good to be true? But it was all true. The van was big, clean, cheapish for five days rental, unlimited kilometers for five days, and had more than enough luggage room for everyone. Plus the staff member who did our paper work when we picked up the van was very helpful.

Can not fault this company on any issue. Except that their offices could do with a really good make over. I rented from them for more than 6 months. My plans were not always straight forward over such a long time. They were fexible and accommodating and made dealing with them easy. All the staff I dealth with were very pleasent and efficient.

A cheaper option, but car was noticeably not as clean as major, more upmarket competitors. We had cobwebs on our left mirror and visible soil and dust on the floormats.

I rented a car here for a day it was a brand new Toyota, the rental fee was cheap ,only $65, and I returned the car the day after (with an hour delay) but he didnt charge me for the delay.

As a regular, I have been very pleased with Ezicar but now that the office drop off time has changed to 5.00pm in the City it is very inconvenient as I have to drop off the next day which impacts my travel to work.

Very happy with the service, picked up a car in Christchurch and drove and dropped off at Auckland. Only problem was getting an English translation of a foreign drivers license, which ezi could have highlighted more prior to journey (can be done on site for additional charge as well).
