Really great service as well as value for money. Booking the vehicle online and registering via the App was pretty simple, which made picking up pretty straightforward and effortless. Staff really friendly and welcoming. Upon return,..no hassles at all, quick and easy. Will definitely be checking out Go Rentals first in future.

Excellent service from the moment you step into there doors and collect your keys was that easy. The vehicles are awesome no problems with any of the rentals I've had. There rates are within everyone's budget and I would highly recommend them if you're looking for a rental.

Great customer service. We use their utes and trucks and most if not all are newer models which is awesome. Very easy to pick up and drop off. They also have a shuttle service from the airports if needed. We tend to book when they have their deals going which is a super plus for us. Highly recommend. Bond is not needed if you get their peace of mind insurance. They also do laybuy on some of their selected vehicles. Our go to rental company now.

Can’t fault the team here. Quick pickup (using their App) at the International Terminal. 10 mins to their office/depot. Driver tells you where to fill your car up (and about the exorbitant fuel prices in NZ ⛽️) on your return. Car we had was in near perfect condition. Had no issues at all. One of the best off-site car rental companies at Auckland airport. Quick service from a shuttle bus and fast check in and out at their offices. Staff helpful and professional. The car I got, a 2018 Corolla, was in great shape and drove well, but the glass was a bit smudged - nothing that a clean cloth couldn't remove. Very fuel efficient - about 6 litres per 100 km.

Started out a bit hesitant. I had most of my experiences with the big car rental companies and generally chose those because I had heard about the horror stories of being charged lots for already existing damage etc. by smaller car rental companies. But GO had pricing that was just too good to pass up. Little did I know pricing was just the start. GO seems to have taken the traditionally pretty cumbersome process of talking to someone behind a counter, scanning licenses and printing a bunch of documents, and made it 2.0. Much of the process you normally go through during pick-up now goes through an app. If you want you can fill in all your details through the app and snap some quick photos of your documents, so that your time at the actual pick-up is down to a couple of minutes. No queue, no small talk at a counter, just get in and GO. If you prefer talking to someone however, that option is still available. As is a digital kiosk where you can do much of the same things as you could in the app, but without having to download anything on your phone. And while you wait for your car or the shuttle to take you to the airport, there's a comfortable waiting area with free wifi and usb ports everywhere so you can charge your phone. A breath of fresh air compared to the cheap plastic seats usually available in waiting areas like that, and for me more proof that they understand their customers. Regarding the vehicles. We had a Toyota RAV4 with about 55000 km on it and it was in excellent shape inside and out. Clean and without any damage, and mechanically it never skipped a beat in the 2000 km we put on it. Can definitely recommend this rental agency. Will be looking for them again in the future.

I rented with them recently for 2 weeks. It was by far the best rental experience I've ever had. It was the cheapest option I could find. It was extremely smooth. Everything was done via the app before I arrived and I simply walked in and picked up the key. I didn't believe it to be honest. Sometimes I've had to wait an hour in a line up to get the car. Also I had to pick it up after hours and the company contacted me to tell me the procedure. Previously elsewhere I've turned up and the company was closed and I had to make another trip the following day to pick up the car. I would recommend this company to anyone unsure about where to go.

I've been using GO rentals for at least the last 10 years. Never disappointed with the well maintained and reasonably priced cars. The staff and shuttle drivers have always been friendly and helpful. Not interested in using anyone else.

Great value for money. Clean and reliable vehicles that in my mind beat the BIG boys. Booking process was very easy with a good intuitive app. Only let down was we arrived on a public holiday and having paid extra to collect the vehicle on this particular day, the process at the international terminal was unclear and frustrating. Overall generally a very good experience with good value for money. WILL DEFINITELY use Go Rentals again.

great staff very approachable, a huge variety of fairly modern cars, shuttle bus very quick turn around. would of been a 5 star but there is a few cheaper places but cars not as modern. if you are in a pinch like i was and got less than 72 hrs too book these are the go to people.

Used GoRental twice. Cars and facility both very clean and tidy. First car I rented was having issue with alignment, called them and spoke to an employee who asked me to find a mechanic myself and fix it, then ask them for rebate (seriously what???) I said no, then escalated to her manager and I was able to took it in after a few days and got another car. Shuttle bus driver is a really cool fella, friendly and helpful. Would recommend getting the insurance, second time renting, wife bumped into another car in a supermarket car park and was able to use that insurance coverage.

Convenient, affordable and comfortable! The whole process of renting a car can mostly be done through the GO Rentals App. Especially if you have rented previously! Need a vehicle... Need a shuttle from the airport... GO to the App.

Everything was smooth and hazzle free. My flight got delayed and I was able to still pick the car after hours for 25 NZD fee for shuttle which was okay. I had minor chip on windscreen caused by passing truck on opposite side, gladly I had zero excess full insurance for it. Nice experience with staff and everything. Will hope to use them again when I'm in NZ.

Great experience with Go Rentals in Queenstown. Flight was delayed and they assisted is with after hours retrieval. We forgot a few belongings in the glove box of our car when we left and we emailed them about it. They got back to us promptly and agreed to courier our things back to us. Car had no issues and a newer model than we had anticipated. Great location for pick up and drop off; right by the arrival/departure terminal. You can't miss it. Cheers Team.

Great car hire, saved heaps. Based away from the Airport but shuttle picks you up and takes you to the car. Easy to follow instructions but did have problem with the Ap, was easy to ring for pickup instead . Rates got cheaper closer to date of hire, (could be because of reduced demand because of Covid) Would use Go Rentals again.

So easy to book a car on the app. The shuttle bus stopped and picked me up as I didn't get to the departure location before it left. Picking the car up was easy as was the drop off. No hassels, friendly staff. They are my rental car company of choice in Auckland.

Good overall value. App remains very buggy and it's a time waster rather than a timesaver. Had an older, cheaper car and was not impressed with overall cleanliness or mechanical condition (3 windows didn't open, boot catch worn out and caused difficulties). Still, overall service and value good considering Covid situation has at least temporarily made business very very hard.

Possibly the best car rental I've ever had. The Booking App is simple to navigate meaning that the pick up was automated, fast and efficient. Good staff and a simple pick up process at Auckland and an equally simple return in Wellington. Great value, the vehicle was small but perfect for two travelling over 1400km. Absolutely no issues or complaints. Would use Go Rental again and recommend them without hesitation.

Staff attending to me upon arrival was extremely rude and i was given a car with a protruding bumper. For the payment of rental fees, no change will be provided. Do bring EXACT. However, the shuttle transport driver and staff who attended to me during my return was pleasant.

Extremely competitive pricing and great customer service. I ended up saving hundreds of dollars for a week-long rental of a Toyota Camry hybrid car from Auckland airport compared to the other car rental agencies that are based at the airport. The pick-up and drop service from the airport was very convenient and hassle-free. Their location is not more than a 2 to 3 minute ride in their minivan. The car was in a very good condition and even had a built-in Sat-Nav which was very helpful. They also provide some good attraction and fuel discount discounts. Highly recommend it and will use again for rentals if and when I visit NZ.

We had 2 corollas booked for 7 people, for 12 days. I can't fault them on anything. Front desk girl was perfect to deal with she actually picked us up from airport and then completed all the admin which I thought was too much for her but she handled everything like a boss. Will definitely make Go Rentals my future go to for car rentals and so will my family.

GO Rentals goes above and beyond the competition in my experience. All staff members are extremely polite and courteous, from the shuttle drivers to the employees at the counter. The pickup and return processes are smooth and efficient, easy and hassle free. The prices are highly competitive, and the vehicle models available are from Toyota, a top quality brand! The Corolla we received was clean and had useful features like a backup camera, lane departure warning signal (if you start to drift out of your lane), and auto dimming high beam headlights (the “brights” turn on and off automatically for traffic ahead/oncoming or when passing through areas with street lights). Everything on the car was in working condition. The tires were in good shape and the gas tank was full. A discount tag is even provided on the keychain for obtaining 6 cents off per liter of fuel at Z stations, which are everywhere! Finally, GO had an instructional video for driving in New Zealand, which is not something I’ve seen offered by other vehicle rental companies. The video was detailed and informative, which was very helpful and much appreciated for travelers from the United States. It could even be watched as many times as desired! You must call to be picked up from the airport, but the entirely hot pink shuttle is easy to identify. You won’t miss it when it arrives within ten to fifteen minutes of calling! The number is free to dial from any pay phone at the airport. Cake! Thanks, GO, for having it all together: a simple process at the right price for quality products and service.

Great service since the booking until the drop off. Friendly staffs, even at late night shift. Helped us when we forgot to translate our driver’s license. Good pricing as well. The car was smooth for the road and sparkling clean when picked up. Would definitely use again!

Best car rental I have ever used! Online systems are first class, everything is ready for you when you arrive so makes it very fast! Cars are excellent and staff are happy and so helpful! The cars are also new and very safe, with lots of features to keep you safe! Love Go rentals and would recommend to anyone. I will use them again.

Fantastic customer service made the whole rental process very quick and simple. The shuttle drivers provided tips that I found very helpful, as it was my first time renting a car NZ. The rental location is a quick 4 minute shuttle ride away. All the staff were very helpful and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

Excellent service with airport shuttle included. The car was almost new with SatNav included at no extra cost. There was no quibble when we returned the car with a slight stone chip to the windscreen. Not the absolute cheapest company, but well worth the price. We hope to use them again.

GO Rentals are a great choice for car rental at Auckland Airport. The quality of vehicles, ease of car collection and return, and friendliness of staff is superb. I will definitely rent from GO Rentals whenever I have the opportunity. The courtesy shuttle was available late at night (11pm) and there was limited delay when getting to the terminal following rental car drop off. Overall, very highly recommended!

Booked a car for my brother-in-law recently, as he doesn't have his own credit card, and the team @ Go Rentals made it all super easy to prepay and be able to use my card for all the charges. Our family rented an SUV from Go rentals. The car was in great condition and clean. The booking was easy, check in and return was easy. We also booked two child seats, which were new and great. I certainly will be booking again. I found putting the child seat on in the narrow car park was impossible, hence I have to move to pick up area. Only recommendation for Go rental would be, if they could provide some designated area for parking the car and putting the child seat on. Regards.

I didn't know anything about GO Rentals previously, but the prospect of a $300 cheaper price than even the cheapest international provider tempted me to try them out. Arriving at Auckland airport from the US at 6am, I was happy to walk to their depot about 20 mins walk from the arrivals terminal. Their service was friendly, the car was new, clean, and return at downtown depot 7 days later was again friendly and very straight-forward. Will definitely use them again. Like the idea that I am supporting a NZ-operated company.

Go Rentals made our car hire so EASY. Allowed us to check in online before we hit NZ, we were literally in and out in 5 mins. I've been a returning customer for a few years now and the service just gets better every visit. They might be a bit pricey but their service is impeccable so we don't mind paying a little more. We'll definitely be back!

We had a very positive experience using GO Rentals at Auckland airport. The pick-up and drop-off of the two vehicles that we hired was really easy and hassle free. This is in stark contrast to a a couple of the big car hire companies that we've used overseas on quite a few occasions, where there is either a delay in getting the vehicle you've booked or they try and persuade you to upgrade to a more expensive vehicle that you don't really need. GO Rentals had none of these problems and the staff were excellent, quick, efficient and happy to help. We'd definitely use the company again.

Easy pick up, no issues with the car. They wash the car, take photos & email them to you the same day you pick it up so you don't have to worry about any exterior issues with the car. Drop off was very easy & efficient. Staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Recent trips were effortless efficient process clean cars and friendly staff always a pleasure to deal with. My favorite rental. Been using them for years now. Recommended to anyone without hesitation. Well done team. Efficient and fast as always however the car was not clean properly inside was good but the outside especially under the back boot was quite fillfy with thick dirt. My first not so clean car with gorentals usually pretty good. Other than that always recomended with no hesitation.

For new years day I rented the 12-seater van for my family for a trip up to Te Arai. I don't normally drive vans but this van was easy to drive and had a lot of room for all of our bags, BBQ etc. My family loved it and are looking to hire again for another trip. I have always rented cars from GoRentals on 3 separate occasions and each experience has always been met with great customer service, great cars and my money being well spent. Excellent customer service both phone and in person very helpful and clear about everything to do with the car when you pick it up. There is one person who works in customer service I’d like to take the time to say a big thank you to and that is Kane who went out of his way to help me in every way he could awesome guy. My only issue was there was rubbish left in the middle console and under the seat as my child saw it and a key left on the key ring which had nothing to do with the car.

My first experience with go rentals was a lot better but what was gear this time.round was our pick up driver he was a dime. Quirky, informative, and full of life. We all had a good laugh. But then we had a few troubles with the kiosks not taking our credit cards so the process to get the keys to the car wasn't the smoothest. Never the less great customer meet service and patience do go a long way. We all recognised that the car wasn't very clean, we.took photos because there was a chip.in the front windscreen that wasn't taken by go rentals and put on there report which is sad because we could be charged for a.chip windscreen we we didn't even do it on our travel time frame. Quality vehicle never the.less and the price was just below the average on these small suv's. Thank you go rentals your service.

Picked up our Toyota Corolla from Auckland and dropped it off in Christchurch. The whole process was faultless and the car was great. Prior to the trip I spent days looking at each of the rental companies and so glad that we settled on GO-rentals, will certainly book through them again in the future. All went smooth with out 3 week rent. We rented a toyota corolla. Car is ridiculously popular and no wonder. It's really a good car. At every turn you will see one or three!! Only thing was Bluetooth was not available or deactivated. Keep in mind radio reception is not available when driving South island around the mountains. Customer service at collecting and dropping was very good. We had some alloy damage which we were not aware off. We had full insurance and so no issues. Shuttle to the airport was quick too. Driver was friendly as well. A good experience

Highly Recommend GOrentals! After my wedding our car decided to break down so we ordered with GOrentals and bless them for giving us the LAYBUY option!! We rented for two weeks but our car was still in the process of getting serviced so we extended it for an extra 2 weeks and the staff were very kind and helpful. GOrentals is now my go-to rental car hire place 🙌🏽

Very quick check in to pick up the car. Best of all, no hassle or scare tactics to try and sell you unwanted insurance. The car was new, clean, and ready to go. The return was just as easy. Liked GO Rentals so much on the north island I wanted to use them again in the south island but no cars in the size I wanted were available for the 3 weeks I needed.

If you getting the car from the airport, they pick you in a shuttle and take you to the main depot which is also the drop off point and has shuttle back to airport. Highly recommend Update: Process is even more Pain free and now they have Tesla Model 3 in the fleet for a reasonable price which we used on our recent trip. Highly recommend

Excellent service from beginning to end, process was very easy, clear and fast. Responded to an accident very quickly, delivered a new car to us and did not change any excess due to accident being caused by drink driver in the other vehicle. I would highly recommend this rental company. They were professional. The car was perfect for our needs. We had no trouble with the pick-up or return and both aspects were quickly and efficiently completed. We put on 4422 klms in 10 days, so amazing value.

Supplied with an upgraded vehicle which was nearly new, clean and in excellent condition. Collecting and leaving vehicle is well practiced process which works and the staff friendly and helpful. We had to wait ages for the shuttle to collect us from the airport at start of hire. Other rental shuttles came and went, some twice. Apparently it is best to phone when clear of immigration etc. but a) this was not made clear in our instructions and b) this isn’t straightforward if you don’t yet have an NZ mobile.

The check-in was nice and easy and staff were very helpful. But the car we got was rather dirty and not cleaned properly - rubbish left from previous people, front windscreen had a lot of hand prints from the inside. The car itself was fine and served us well during the trip thought, so overall it was ok

This is our 2nd car rental from Go Rentals as it has been a pleasant experience for us, hassle free check-in and checking-out, reasonable price, the cars condition has always been good (and new too!). Friendly and helpful staff, the service has always been on point, from the moment we were picked-up from the airport till the drop off to airport. Best is its operating hours, making it easy for us to return car at late hours. Definitely my choice of car rentals in NZ!

Why use any one else, from the chatty pick drivers to the friendly check-in staff (on new year's day as well), the car was brilliant and the communication in the month that we had the car was clear and helpful. All good, clean car, quick service, better price than the big names. Only thing to lose the 5th star was the shuttle from the rental office back to domestic flight, was almost an hour between dropping the car off (and ready to go) and getting to the terminal. Pretty dang great. Would absolutely recommend. Our arriving shuttle driver was informative, hospitable, and hilarious - Francisco, if you want to look out for him. The car came in good condition. The only thing that was a let down was I needed the USB in a crucial moment and it didn't seem to work. Taking the car back was easy and efficient and again, the staff were lovely. Go (pun intended) with these guys.

I booked a car online from Canada for my wife, she really liked everything about GO Rental. On arrival to Auckland airport she had no problem finding the shuttle to rental office (less than 10 minutes drive from airport) - the staff were friendly, the car was excellent for the cost. I will book with them again.

Definitely recommended. I pre-paid and used the fast check-in system. Staff explained everything, the car was clean and fuelled and the staff did a comprehensive, walk around check for peace of mind. We hired two cars through Go Rentals. The first was outstanding. Only 600 kms on the clock with a navman built in and really comfortable clean car for a four day hire. Fantastic 10/10 for that one. The second car was just a one day hire and lucky too. It was a bit old. It had a bit of a smell inside and every panel was scratched which made the initial inspection quite lengthy and I worried more that if I missed something, the damage might be attributed to me. The guy we dealt with at the depot was brilliant. Really friendly and helpful. The right mix of professionalism and humour. All things considered, I'd definitely hire through them again.

Easy app to use, fast and clear , car range is lots. Airport office hours is much longer (better) than other company . Staff are friendly. Live chat experience very good . The operator even called overseas and immediately confirm my booking , did not miss any chance at all. check in is fast, car return is simple , also the goplay idea is very exciting (even though I end up didn’t use many of their discount ) . Shuttle service is very well too. Only improvement can be cleaning the vechicle a bit thorough but maybe becoz of peak season the car is. Prepare a bit rush. Oh! Book in advance about 2 weeks ahead of time seems to get you the best rate. Play around with the dates. This is the third time I've used them. No complaints! Went smooth every time. I got the full insurance, paid a little extra because I didn't want to deal with any hassle when I'm on vacation. The car was clean every time and with low kilometers but that didn't really matter to me since the car was pretty much new. As soon as I arrived at the airport, moments after I received a text telling me to call them if I needed a shuttle, which I did. It worked out perfectly since I tried to request one on the app but it didn't seem to work. Will hire them again! The GO Play card is awesome too! Take advantage of those discounts!

Overall a really good experience. All the staff we dealt with where very friendly and helpful. After spending a lot of time on aeroplanes and in transit lounges, one tends to be slightly irritable by the time you reach your final destination. So being met at the airport by very friendly shuttle staff and having a quick and painless vehicle pick-up really gets your experience of a country off to a good start. Similarly experiencing the same friendliness on your departure really puts a good spin on the end of the trip. Will definitely be using GO Rentals again on my next visit to New Zealand.

I used Go Rentals from 13-17 July 2019 whilst on a short holiday in Auckland. It is the best rental car company in NZ. They are simple to book online, reasonably priced, cars are very well kept, and just 2 minutes from the Auckland International Airport. The shuttle service is excellent. They never let you down. You get picked up upon arrival and dropped off upon departure. This is the second time I have used them and I will always use them whenever I am in NZ. They are very busy so sometimes when you call it may take a while for someone to answer but that does not mean that they are lazying around but they are attending to customers because that is how busy they are. They lead amongst many other companies in NZ and are highly in demand. If you see their fleet of cars they have a very wide range of cars to choose from. Everyone will have a car available of their choice. It is a seamless exercise when you book online. What you book and pay for online is exactly what you get when you pick up your car. Nothing is hidden from you unlike other companies who may tell you one thing online but upon pick up something else. One thing I found with Go Rentals is that they tell you upfront what insurances are available when you book online and how much they cost so that you can make up your mind whilst you can think clearly as opposed to some rental car companies who encourage you to buy insurances upon arrival when you are tired to think clearly and you never really get to know all the hidden things that come with it. It is also good when you book online to pay extra and get the top cover for your car so that if anything happens your excess is reduced to zero. The top cover that Go Rentals have is also very reasonably priced. I was very happy with Go Rentals and can I just say that this is not a paid testimonial. It is my real experience that I wish to share about Go Rentals with you and the entire world. All the best.

Hi, I rented a car again form Go Rentals because previous experience has always been good. The car was excellent, in condition and extras, everyone was very friendly and helpful - a little difficulty with returning but that was probably because I had not researched the location - it was very close to the airport, the shuttle driver was friendly and time frame appropriate.

I hadn’t booked a car & was recommended to Go rentals by the lady in the information center at the airport. I used the free phone & was directed to were I would be picked up to collect the car I needed . I was at the rental office within 15 minutes .. the staff were very friendly and talked me through all my options . I opted for the peace of mind rental .this covers everything with no excess .. the car was ready within 8 minutes of walking through the door. I had a stunning 7 seater SUV which had every luxury you can imagine . Plus a sat nav at no extra cost . & unlimited miles.. the drop off was even quicker I had dropped the car off and was in the shuttle bus in less than 4 minutes.. No dramas !! Great customer service .. I only wish this company operated in Australia..!! The best experience of first time rental in Nz . Highly recommend.. why bother with the big companies we recognise back home in England .. Edit: Go Rentals refunded the $45 fee for the plastic hub cap. Thanks to Go Rentals customer service for calling and finding out details of what occured with this hub cap and respecting that this situation was out of my control. The inspection team could do with some communication training on getting to the bottom of these situations before simply charging their customers a fee for something which wasn't their fault. Go rentals rented us a car with loose plastic hub caps, which were cable tied on. At one point of our travels it became evident that one hub cap had dislodged, never to be seen again. (We inspected the photo's we had taken when picking up the car and saw that this hub cap had, had only 1 cable tie). We thought Go Rentals might have some understanding and take responsibility for their poor maintenance of their car. However, on my return to Go Rentals I explained to the inspector that the hub caps were loose. He agreed and stated that, that was why they attach them with cable ties. He then said 'no worries, you can go inside and they will sort you out in there'. Right after they had shuttled me to the airport, I received an email stating that they had charged me $45 for the plastic hub cap. Very frustrating and unprofessional of Go Rentals. Other issues included a key fob which must had very low battery as I spent most of the trip having to lock and unlock the car manually. And the window spray water appeared to have little to no detergent formula in it making the windows constantly streaky. Wouldn't bother with this business if this is their attitude towards their customers.

This is by far the best car rental service in NZ in my opinion. Always hassle free and lovely friendly staff. I enjoyed driving the car we used this time and it handled well driving up and down the North Island. Love the GO app! Really is a fantastic service all round. Highly recommended.

Great prices and excellent value with modern, low-mileage cars, but if you're in a hurry to get somewhere it's quicker to use one of the rental car companies which are based on-site at an airport. It can take upwards of 40 minutes from contacting GoRentals to request the shuttle service to the depot to pick up your car before you actually drive away. If the meeting etc. that you're attending starts at a particular time a rental car from GoRentals probably isn't your most reliable means of getting there on time.

The car itself was great; it was very new and worked perfectly. It may be slightly more expensive than other rental companies, but it's well worth the cost. There was a bit of a hiccup during the pickup: I did the check-in online and made full payment beforehand, which made me eligible for the GO fast pickup. So when I arrived at the GO rentals office, I queued in the GO fast lane. However, I was totally ignored while 2 or 3 customers from the normal queue were served before I asked someone whether checking-in online made any difference. They replied that it was a busy day and the other customers had been waiting for a long time, so they were served ahead of me. All this was perfectly understandable; however it would have been nice to be informed beforehand when I would be served. In fact, I would have understood had they simply said that the GO fast lane was not in use due to them being too busy. They could have just closed the GO fast lane in that case. To their credit, I was refunded for the cost of renting a GPS unit, since the car already had GPS built in. The handover process upon returning the car was smooth and hassle-free. The shuttle bus drivers who picked us up and dropped us off were very friendly. The pickup/drop off location was very near the airport, less than 5 minutes' drive. Don't be put off by them not having a counter at the airport; from the long queues I saw at the airport rental car counters, it was probably still faster renting from here in the end. Just note that you'll need to request for a shuttle pickup somehow; either by using their app or giving them a call. Alternatively, you can walk there if you don't have too much luggage, it's probably about 10-15 minutes walk, according to google maps.

These guys are AWESOME. I have to say I was a bit dubious at first as thought it was a “budget” rental company but was blown away with the wonderful, courteous and helpful service I received. William, our shuttle driver on the pick up, was a stand out; really fantastic customer service, very informative and friendly... I hope he gets recognised for doing such a brilliant job. The process was efficient from start to finish. The only comment I would make is that the open hours don’t agree on some of the searches eg on some days it says the rental company closes at 5pm but they are open well past that. From start to finish the staff were all happy and helpful, the ease of getting the shuttle bus from airport to the car yard made it easy. The car was cheap to run, easy to drive, the navigation system was a must to get through the major cities, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and time in New Zealand.

They are very professional and courteous and efficient. I got a really good relocation deal to pick up the rental in Queenstown and return it to Aukland airport. The daily rate was banana's cheap, they threw in a free tank of gas and covered the ferry cost. The drop was the simplest of my life and the shuttle was clean and on time. A really well run business

Fast return emails when I had questions. Returning customer discount. Cheapest rental available online. Easy to use app. New shuttle vehicle that is classified as a bus so didn't have to worry about car seat in shuttle to get to depot - just had baby in a wearable carrier. Wiremu (shuttle driver) friendly, funny and informative. Nice new facility for pick up - easy process with check in on the app. Extremely easy drop off process. Only point is baby car seat had seen better days - difficult to adjust shade hood and food caked into the belt clip. Would love to see window shade and head rest mirror added to hireage of car seat and then it would be a perfect 10 rating. Despite this I will no longer be bothering with comparing online prices before my yearly trip to nz, I'll be heading straight to GOrentals.

Checking in and out of this place could not have been easier. Brilliant staff are friendly and pick you up from the airport even after midnight but they didn't know that NZ now has 110km/h zones and they kept insisting that I was going over the speed limit when I told them that the car's tyres needed balancing as there was a vibration at that speed. Apart from that, great car, great experience.

We are a Canadian family of four who travel the world together as the, 'Four Homeless Millionaires.' We flew into Auckland with 10 days to explore Northlands. We chose Go Rentals and were 100% satisfied with our experience! I didn't know we needed a shuttle from the airport. But it was there in 5 minutes from the time I called. Our driver was awesome. Funny and informative, making use of the entire 6 minute drive to the office to let us know what was going on in Auckland that night, as well as giving us pointers on traffic and speeding laws. The woman at the counter was very fast in processing our rental. But not rushing, she explained everything and was very clear and concise. We were on the road in no time. Great little car. 6 speed manual transmission, the car was an absolute joy to drive and very economical on fuel. I recommend Go Rentals to everyone!

Very good service. Walked in without a reservation and they were very accommodating. Car was new, which included an inbuilt navigation system, which I’ve always had to pay extra for. Return was seemless and their courtesy bus was convenient and regular. Will be my goto rental company for future NZ trips.

Go Rentals have a really simple renting process, especially for repeat business, you can be in your car less than 30 minutes from the time you get your bags, and returning it takes half or less time. Recommended.

Having rented from Go Rentals before we knew what we were in for but each branch can be different. This was not the case at the airport branch. Despite being super busy they got us checked in super quickly and after a quick vehicle inspection we were on our way. The app is super useful for booking the shuttle bus and the fact that we had done the pre check in stuff helped to speed up the process. The staff were really friendly and helpful and their Go Play card is also a added bonus as we saved heaps on activities during our trip. Top marks all round!

On arrival into NZ we had an urgent message left for us. My father had a cardiac arrest while we were on the plane. The whole team were amazing, from arranging a phone to call family, fast processing of the rental car, loading our car with luggage all before completing the paper work. A heart felt thank you to Mel and Brenton. The good news was after seeing my father in Critical Care at Auckland hospital he is now recovering at home. Used Go Rentals for the first time in Jan. Excellent easy to deal with. Shuttle arrived at Auckland airport within the time frame to take us to their depot and didnt have to wait for it when dropping the car back to the airport depot. Would definitely use again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, making sure we knew all the important info as well as the resources available to us. The service was exceptionally efficient, as I had read, which was also the reason we rebooked our car with GO, from a different provider. They made sure our trip was enhanced, rather than diminished by the service. Will definitely use again and recommend to our friends and family.

Excellent hire experience, with online checkin and a very quick hand over to get the actual vehicle. And we got a brand new (8km on the clock) car! Return process very simple and streamlined - we were on the shuttle back to the airport in about 5 minutes! Will definately use GO again. Only advice is fill up a LONG way away from the airport as the nearby Z station had a bout a 15c/litre premium over stations 5 minutes away!

I rented a car from RAD and it was $54 a day everything was fine till I needed to rent it for another day and then they weren't happy because I was going to make it just passed the closing hours to drop the car off. I said okay sweet ill book it for one more day and drop it off in the morning so you guys are happy that the car is there on Te and while you guys are there. So went on Saturday morning and they charged me another $189 for the other two days and I completely forgot about gassing up because I was in a rush to return the car. Paid another $40 for gas and that's fine. Tired to hire another car and the lady said $1000 bond? And I was like what? So walked from there too ace budget cars. Hired the car on the way that was fine. Got there and they only had one car left that was fine. Then asked for a 250 bond that I will get back the next day. That was fine. Paid $105 for it and then came back the next day and they say I can rent it for another 3 days at $16 per day. At this stage I was like what the hell why didnt someone tell me yesterday I would of done it in one transaction. The guy laughed 🙄 returned the car and caught the bus to GO RENTALS This is where it gets better ladies and gentlemen 😊 $1 bond $121 paid and got the car keys and left So simple. Came back after 3 days. And gave the keys back asked about another car but sadly there wasn't any. Then the service guy comes checks the car and says all clear within 2 minutes. (HOW QUICK IS THAT... 2 MINUTES QUICK) Got my bond back in a few hours. And done deal. What a awesome and smooth transaction 😊 Go bless you guys.

Just finished a one way 30 day rental from Auckland to Queenstown. They were helpful with getting us a car two days earlier than originally planned. Took about 30 min at the pickup as there was a bottleneck at the one counter that gives out the keys. Would book with them again.

We always use Go rentals when coming to NZ as they are the only car hire company that have a ute with a tow bar!! which we need! also their customer service is excellent - very happy every time we use them. wont use anyone else ever again :)

Best rental car experience. Period. The process, the price, the quality of the vehicle and the staff were the best I have ever experienced and I hire vehicles regularly. Most professional web process and the online check in is fantastic. GO Rentals will always be my first choice and I now look forward to my next trip to Auckland.

We hired a mid size SUV for 13 days and were very happy with Go Rentals. Other times we have rented cars (with other companies) have received an "equivalent" sized vehicle which is not the same. We were happy to get the make and model SUV we ordered which was able to fit 2 suit cases, a pram, baby seat and we barely loaded up the back seat. The car was clean, late model with about 40000km on the odometer. Nothing on it was broken or damaged except a few stone chips in the paint work. It had androidcar play, reversing camera, 5 star safety rating, isofix compatible. Go Rentals is a very hands on experience and they walk you around the car to do the pre-hire damage inspection, all the hire contact is done via a self-service kiosk in their office and you need to catch a shuttle service from the terminal to their office. This is a measure of inconvenience and if money is not an issue then by all means hire from one of the companies that have their office in the terminal because they specialise in quick service. I found that the competitive prices offered by GO Rentals blew the big brand hire companies away by a significant amount, sometimes up to half price. We did not take out any of GO Rentals no excess payment plans as over the course of the rental period it would have costed a significant amount. We instead bought travel insurance and that covered us for hire car excess along with all other travel emergencies. TLDR: If you have the time (an extra 30mins) then Go Rentals will save you quite a bit of money. Book ahead, and use your own insurance for longer trips to save more. The car we had was good, what I saw in the lot was all late models.

excellent company to deal with. most of my booking was done online. when we went to the destination pick up point the bring pink van showed up and took us the the business to pick up the rental. the staff were really helpful excellent personal touch and really organised all my request were meet with a high standard.

While customer service was perfect, products/cars are clean and in great condition, Renting process is great, pick up service is awesome, the best experience I had was when I forgot my headphones and speakers in the car after I got to the airport and was too late to go back I rang them up telling them what I forgot in the car and they sent them to me without any hassle and in just a few days by mail. I will definitely use Go rentals again, great job.

Pick up from arrivals a bit slow. Key pick up was OK but some online check-in information needed to be repeated. Vehicle was excellent. Return efficient and transfer to departures good!

Because you are the best priced car rental company in NZ! But!!! Wow ohh Wow! We hired the car from Auckland Airport & your express check in / out although very easy was shocking! Pick up at the airport was easy! Check in through the automated system easy! The queue to get our car - dreadful!!! In reverse exactly the same - we gave plenty of time to drop our car off but the queue to get away from you to our flight!!! Seriously that was shocking - dreadful - we were nearly late for our flight check in!! You need to do something about the last part of your system. We were ready to call a taxi!

I had booked the car from India for my trip in New Zealand and asked for new car upto 1 year old. To my surprise we got a car less than a month old in excellent condition. We completed the formalities in about 20 minutes and took the car. The rates at Go Rentals are very reasonable. On returning the car it took only 5 minutes. They checked the condition of car, payments and then they dropped us at airport by their shuttle.

We rented a car for two weeks arriving in early am a few weeks ago with two kids 3 and 6yrs old, they were very quick to collect us from the airport and the car was all ready to go. The service was quick easy and the car was clean and well maintained. Staff were nice and happy even at this hour of the morning. Discount card was handy for the zoo with 10% off. The car was economical and the car seats provided were clean, easy to use and well looked after. Thanks for the fantastic service. Photos Mt Victoria, mt ruepahu (north western side in February) , Tawhia Falls (gollums pool) ,Auckland zoo and rangitoto Island. We did so much more than this but just some of our favorites.

Second time going with GoRentals, first time was in Queenstown. Barely had to wait for the shuttle both ways. The app makes pick up a breeze. Car was in excellent condition and included a GPS. Competitive pricing ( managed to get a discount code from their Facebook page) I liked how their opening hours extended till 2am. Definitely go with GoRentals if hiring in NZ.

Internet booking from Australia was smooth and easy. Good communication from Go Rentals after booking. Quick transfers from and to the airport. Car collection smooth and soon on the road. Car collected was as described and in good condition. Had no problems with the car for the 13 days in May 2015. Petrol station and car wash over the road from the drop-off point. Drop off quick and smooth. Go Rentals arranged toll payment for us. Entire rental was smooth and easy. Thanks again for the friendly efficient service.

Car was great. Check in and out was supposed to be automated but each step (3) required human intervention. People were great so why not stick with them and simplify the process. I received a call following up and the review and look forward to trying them out again.

We had a great experience. We had booked ahead so we were picked up from the airport. The car was basically new and fitted us and 3 young kids with no problems. No pushy sales and friendly staff.

UPDATE TO THE REVIEW BELOW - I think it's only fair to update my initial review (see below) to reflect our overall experience with Go Rentals at Auckland Airport. After a very frustrating time with the check in/pick-up, we were allocated a nice new car with only 1,000 km on the clock. The manager took the time and effort to call later in the week to apologise and find out what problems we had, and seemed genuinely interested in learning from the experience so they could improve customer service. So, overall, I think they deserve more than my original 1/5 review. Useless. Check in/ pick up process taking an age, even though three was no queue. When we finally finished the paperwork, they find out that the car allocated to us isn't actually available. After a lot of waiting, they tell us a (different?) car is being washed for us. Getting on for an hour of waiting at the time of writing. Duty manager seems not to give a toss about it - didn't apologise for the huge delays, and seemed put out when asked if there's anything that can be done to speed up the process. Never again.

We hadn't used this company before. As they are based away off the airport site their pricing was very good compared to the Avis/Hertz quotes. We booked a Corolla and got a virtually brand new Toyota Rav4 with only 2500km on clock. One slight hiccup was having to wait 5mins or so for the grooming to finish and car to be ready. They are only just up the road from the airport with a free shuttle service running very regularly. Overall very impressed with service and cost. We even got an extra 10% as I'm a member of a NZ golf club. Would thoroughly recommend giving these guys a try!

Great service, reasonably priced car in the budget range. Unfortunately the car smelled like cigarette smoke which didn't go away. The fact there was a no smoking sticker obviously was ignored by previous renters.

Great pick up and drop off service with shuttle. Car in beautiful clean condition for a older toyota corolla and the car detailers have done an excellent job washing it from front to back and all inside of the car is like new 😊 easy to collect and drop off hassle free service this is second time I've rented through these guys and will rent again for my next Holiday in Nz 😊

Very easy online booking system to use, however notwithstanding completing the online pre-registration system, including adding in my drivers license details, paying for the car in full and having rented from GO Rentals 2-3 times before during which time my drivers licence was scanned into their system, I ended up as an unknown booking despite correctly texting the details through upon arrival at AKL DOM. After finally getting through whilst enroute to the pick up point opp Jestar terminal was advised pickup would be 20-30 mins away. Van driver radioed my name through and booking number which wasn't on his list. That's OK but what got me is that no car was ready when I arrived - despite having prepaid the vehicle on a valid cc and being a repeat customer I was left to wade through the kiosk registration system which required taking a further eprint of the cc details and needing to scan my licence yet again - staff all busy with more important customers - finally got a tick on the screen and a message to go and wait at the key pick up desk where despite being the only one there had to wait until a whole bunch of tourists and visitors busy at the front desk wading through all the usual questions were shown to their cars. Grrrr. Notwithstanding paying for $0.00 excess I had to tag along with a full external car body work inspection - finally made it out of the depot 1.5 hours after first contacting GR that I was ready for pickup at AKL DOM. On the plus side drop off and delivery back to the airport is quite efficient, the cars are immaculate and the rates are very competitive.

The experience with go rentals was seamless... the self serve kiosk were a breeze and all staff were happy to help. Definitely use the app to check in all your details before you get there so your in and out... We got picked up by the shuttle bus from gate 11 at the airport.... was fast and easy. I rented a small car from Go Rentals via On Line Booking it was quick and easy. The service was excellent from the booking staff, the pick up and drop off service. I had the car for 16 days and utilised the prepaid fuel offer which made it all the easier. I would highly recommend Go Rentals to anyone and will use them again as my first preference.

Always great, friendly service. The cars are good, and the prices so much cheaper than the alternatives. The very slight inconvenience of being an off-airport company is outweighed by the savings.

Efficient Team Operation Each stage of the rental was as advertised, from airport shuttle and pickup to dropoff and shuttle back to the airport. The pickup documentation process is quick and easy with an automated system. The car handover was friendly although I would have benifitted from a little more techy detail about the car e.g how the cruise control works. The team work long hours so they are on hand for customer convenience. I had a mechanical problem with my car and it was fixed quickly with the AA cover thats included but not until I had made a refundable payment to cover the AA for silly callouts (I have not got my refund yet after 2 weeks and my return to UK, so will have to see how that turns out!).

We rented a Toyota Corolla - manual from their Auckland as well as Queenstown Airport branch for about 12 days & here is our overall experience: Booking - Simple & Easy. We booked the car from India through their chat app & email Pick up & Drop from the Airport - Ontime & Friendly. We were picked within 5 mins from time we notified them of our arrival & the same courtesy was extended by their friendly staff while dropping too Front Office & Payment - Quick & Professional. All relevant info was exchanged quickly & our desired car was allocated in less than 10 mins Car Handover - Needs lil improvement. Car specifications & features vary from country to country, so it would be really beneficial for the hirers if the features around the steering wheel are explained quickly. In our case, the staff at Auckland was not aware of certain features so it was left to us to figure out as we drove. The Car - The car assigned to us in Auckland had more than 1L kms on the odometer but still in good drivable condition, however the car assigned to us in Queenstown was under powered & needed quick acceleration in gear 1 as well while reversing. We opted for the 'peace of mind' insurance & is highly recommended, like in our case..we slightly dented the rear bumper of the car while reversing & all that we have to do was..quickly filling in a form..that is it.

we have hired all our cars through go rentals. they have fantastic customer service and and fantastic people people at their drop off and pick centres. We had a problem with one of our hire vans, Go rentals went above and beyond to fix the situation, with awesome customer service, to placing a new hire van on a tow truck transporting it 3hrs to us and collecting the old van. All of which was done with in 5hrs of our call. Well done Go rentals!! Will we continue to use your service!!!!

What an amazing experience ! From the moment of booking online, to picking up the vehicle, to dropping it off at the end of my holiday. Absolutely top notch service !! Pick up was a breeze, we were picked up from the international terminal within minutes by a friendly driver who delivered us directly to the depot to pick up our car. Along the trip he offered helpful advice and directions on how to get where we were going. Once we arrived at the depot we had signed the forms and picked up the keys and on the road in a matter of minutes. The car was an absolute joy to drive.....Economical, handled well, ample power for the winding roller coaster of NZ's open roads. The external condition of the car had a few small dents and bumps, but mechanically the car was sound and had excellent tires which withstood some of the worst conditions I have ever driven in my life. Over the total trip I clocked up over 1500 + kms touring around parts of the north island and it never missed a beat. I was a little sad to hand her back on my last day in the country after such an amazing trip. Dropping off the car and returning to the airport for my departure flight was just as easy as pick up. Arriving at the depot I was again whisked to the airport with plenty of time to catch my flight home by a friendly gentleman who was extremely polite and helpful. All in all an amazing level of customer service and I would highly recommend Go Rentals to friends and family or any others looking for rental car service whilst in NZ. Thanks guys, you're amazing !

Good rates for a rental Camry. Nice service and prompt pick up and drop off from the airport. Staff unable to locate and return a pair of sunglasses that I actually left behind in the car though. EDIT - response to response from the owner. Thanks for the offer to look into it but it has been more than 6 weeks since we rented so unlikely to show up. I phoned the branch from Brisbane Australia on the day of the rental return and had a response the next day when followed up. I was advised that the car was rented out again and no sunglasses were found. I will leave it at that.

We had friendly, professional service from the booking to dropping off. We would recommend Go Rentals to anyone , we cannot fault their service. Wellington Go Rentals gives exceptional customer service as well. Also prices are very reasonable . The car was perfectly clean and we had no problems at all.

Ease of booking online with no paperwork. Buy out the excess by paying a small insurance fee per day. Cars are nice. Shuttle pick up and drop a little slow but that was OK cause I had enough time.

The best car rental experience I’ve ever had. It was the cheapest rental around when I looked into booking and I was worried about having to shuttle but The shuttle picked us up immediately after landing, car pickup took 2 minutes, literally (id already paid everything beforehand) then drop off took another 2 minutes.... literally couldn’t have been better!!!

What a fantastic company, super quick pickup, excellent friendly customer service, friendly shuttle drivers and great priced well maintained cars. Will be my new Auckland car rental company of choice from now on. Well done Go Rentals team!

I've been renting cars in Auckland for years, for my dad who visits regularly from the States. We tried most of the major rental companies and a few independents, but since we started using Go Rentals in about 2007 we've used them exclusively ever since. My first impression was of a friendly, efficient company with good cars and good rates. Since then they've never disappointed, if anything they've got better. I've got no hesitation recommending them.

Our family always rent with Go rentals. We come often to Auckland because our son is boarding there. This time, we were such in a rush that we forgot our two backpacks with our laptops and ipads in the rented car. We realised that just went arriving at the international terminal while getting out of the shuttle bus. The driver of go rental immediately offered to grab our backpacks from the base and to bring them back to us at the international terminal. In less than 10 minutes, the backpacks were handed over to us with all the electronics inside. This was incredibly nice of the driver to help us. We could obviously have missed our plane if they had not helped us. Thanks Go rentals team for your excellent customer service ! We will come back for sure.

I've used GO Rentals a number of times from Auckland airport and I'll keep going back. The cars have always been exactly what was advertised, in excellent condition. The team is quick to have the cars ready when you arrive and dropping them off is as easy as giving them the keys back.

Excellent value for money, it was not the cheapest rental company around but the reviews were excellent and they live up to it. Painless rental and collection process, even for after hours! Good vehicle as described on website and reliable after 3 weeks of use.

Process of booking was excellent, and reply from booking group was prompt and extremely helpful. Even booking of island crossing ferry service was a breeze, no hassle at all, a big big plus for me. On arrival, pick up of car was a bit slow, due to me having to dial the hotline from Airport for close to more than 10 mins before someone picked up the hotline to fetch me to the office for paperwork and collection, my guess is the staffs were multitasking. Other than that, staffs were very helpful and friendly. Car was a bit aged and worn but reliable, able to get me through the whole 20 days without major issues. Interior was nicely cleaned. Overall, I am very happy with this rental company and will recommend it to my friends and anyone looking for a reasonably priced and reliable rental car in NZ.

Good rentals. Would be my rental company of choice in NZ. The fleet of cars has a good spectrum. And the condition of the cars are usually pretty good. The staff is friendly and courteous. The email acknowledgements for bookings done online are nice and clear. And the airport pickup instructions for after-office hours are very clear too. The only reasons why these guys are not getting the full 5 are because: 1. Upon landing at Auckland Airport, one supposed to call the airport office number for the shuttle pickup to their office. That used to be very difficult to get through. However, this time I noticed that they have an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system to automatically request for a pickup. It required the booking number to be keyed in. But on keying it in, the system didn't recognise it. And so I was back to square one - waiting on the phone for a human being to attend to me at the other end. That took time. 2. The optional additional insurance package (to reduce the excess payable) charges, in my perception, are very steep. 3. For extending my car rental booking (which was done from the Auckland Airport branch), I had to call and speak to that airport branch only on the phone! Again the issue of getting through - a lady from the the city office had picked up the phone, and then said she would transfer me to the airport branch.. I was on hold for probably 15 mins (with the call going back to the city office lady again and again..), and finally she said that I needed to call back later. It was surprising that any other office could not extend my lease on the phone - it had to necessarily be that specific office branch. That too around 5 days before expiry of rental (if it was last minute, I'd still understand the need to talk to that specific office). 4. They don't have any branches in Tauranga - apparently the 5th largest city of NZ. That has been a problem for me everytime, as defining an additional driver (which would be my friend in Tauranga), I would have to drive 200km to the Auckland airport branch (nearest branch to Tauranga!) for doing that, as it has to be done in person!!! I would still recommend them. But not as wholeheartedly as I would otherwise have done.

It’s not often you get off the phone with a call center with a big smile on your face but thanks to Fernando that is the experience I just had. I have consistently had a great experience with GO Rentals and happily recommend them!

I got asked to pay for some damage on my vehicle when I returned it. Initially, the team who manage emails weren't helpful and I was charged for the repairs, but I escalated the issue and their management team investigated and found that the car had just previously been serviced and that the damage was likely caused then. My photos did show some damage, but not as clearly as I'd have liked. They did apologise for what I believe is not their normal standard of service though. So kudos there. Always worth taking your own photos of the vehicle in case of any disputes, and even if you're tired after flying in, make sure you get any damage noted down on the inspection report. The new check-in procedure didn't really focus on that, so it's worth making sure it's covered. Either that or just pay for the full insurance. ;) Not really happy, but this was a pretty unusual occurrence from the sounds of it.

Great experience with renting. Got a fuel economic vehicle in great condition that fit all our travel gear including two bikes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Also received maps and a discount card that we used extensively called GoPlay. Would totally rent here again.

A very impressive and professional car rental service. Shuttles run continuously from this depot the short distance to the airport. A huge range of decent cars. The prices are very competitive.

I think it would be unfair to say that GoRentals provide their customers with bad service. My experience with them was excellent , from hiring the car to returning it back. Staff was very polite and helpful , even getting us a taxi back to the cbd at a very good flat rate. Deposit was also promptly returned within a few days of returning the car. All in all a very good experience and i will use the company again when traveling in New Zealand.

I was not impressed with not being aloud to use my debit MasterCard as the holding fee for the insurance waiver. I even offered to transfer the $2,500 in good faith I’d return the car undamaged. Given I don’t hold a credit card with a higher limit than $1,500 I feel this company bullied me into their ridiculously over oriced insurance. I have an impeccable driving record in Australia and my monthly insurance is two days of Go Rentals insurance. I won’t recommend or use this company again. This is a flaw in their business and should be looked into. Thank you for calling and chatting with me Brad.. it was that extra special touch that was needed. I’m grateful we were able to discuss both views on the policy and other options that could have been perused. I’ll most certainly use Go Rentals in my next visit to NZ now.

EDIT: Received a phone call from customer service. Very impressed at the lengths they went to to rectify disagreements. Law change states that each nominated driver must present with their license at time of hireage. Refund was given for the additional $10 we paid to add the extra driver. Toll road admin fee was also waived on good faith. On a side note, at time of pickup the internet was down at the branch. Employees were having to use their personal mobile phones to make the business transaction. One mentioned she needed to add credit. In my opinion there needs to be recognition (financial compensation) for employees being required to use their personal phones for business. Might be worth a mention at a future managers meeting. Really impressed by your customer service, very few businesses take these small but crucial steps. Thanks Go Rentals, I will be back. **car didn't have a full tank when picked up. did not advise that we were required to make toll road payment. Pretty cheeky to slap a $25 admin fee on to pay the $2.30 toll road charge. a simple reminder would have sufficed. also, would not let the person who picked up the vehicle add other drivers to insurance without the driver being present (which wasn't possible at time of vehicle collection).**

Not bad, good cars. We, personally, had no issues but we overheard another customers car was already loaned to someone else somehow and a man behind us was not being served...maybe a little too much reliance on the self serve systems

Go Rentals - Auckland Airport is a professional car rentals company with well-trained staffs and very good service to the clients. The cars are new and their rental price is reasonable and cheap compare with other car rental compnies.I will recommend you all go and rent the car from this company if you want to self-drive travelling round in New Zealand North and South Island.

We had the best experience with Go Rentals as we always do. The first Glamper we collected had a damaged spring so Go Rentals Auckland had one bought to us on a Tow Truck from AKL to Matamata the next morning. Although we had to camp the night there, it didn't bother us too much. The camper was perfect for the two of us but I just have a couple of minor recommendations to make it even better; - hooks for towels/teatowels/jackets (we bought a couple of 3M Hooks and left them there for next users) - thicker mattress as you can feel ground (we bought a foam from the warehouse and left it in the camper for next renters also) - Although it has solar power, a back up electricity point would've been perfect for charging items such as cameras, phones etc. Overall, the perfect first camping experience. We dropped the Glamper and Ute in Queenstown and even this experience was hassle free.

Good efficient minivan transport to and from airport. Kiosks to check in and get your rental car. Brand new carseats - safety 1st capsule was easy to use with isofix.

People are very friendly and car’s quality is excellent. We rent highlander for a 4 days trip. However, the app doesn’t really work. Suggest to directly asking in information desk at airport for shuttle service.

The great: - booking on the web page was awesome - really well done. - they did their best to give us a quick ride to the terminal once we returned the car (once they drove us with our rented car to save time moving our bags / child seats to their usual van) - quick check of the car on return and "everything is ok, thanks!" - nice follow up contact after leaving a small item behind the less great (just to be aware, nothing major): - don't expect a new car (which they make obvious while booking) - our cars (we booked one in Auckland, one in Christchurch) had lots of small scratches and bumps and it wasn't clear how much they care on return. This was very different from renting e.g. in the US, where they just don't care about these small scratches. - we were pretty much forced to pay $20/day for extra "insurance" - they wanted a $2500 or $3500 charge on the card to cover for damage up front and it doesn't work with debit cards. You should be fine with a "real" credit card, though. Overall, we'll definitely go with GO rentals again next time we're in NZ.

We hired the Hyundai Tuscan 5 seater and it was magnificent. Go Rentals Auckland Airport were awesome, the staff kept you well informed on everything. Literally took maybe 5 - 10 mins tops and we were on our way. Returning the vehicle was even better. Not even 5 mins and the wonderful shuttle driver took us to the Departure Terminal. Will highly recommend Go Rentals to family and friends the experience and hassle free way to drive.

I would highly recommend Go Rentals the staff were friendly and helpful. The complimentary Shuttle service was efficient. The car was the latest model cheap on gas heaps of room and the hire rate was top value.

Good service and multiple options for different vehicles. We wanted a Toyota Aurion and the first one had a strange odour, the second one smelled of smoke so they got us a third one which was good. Convenient pick up from the AKL airport.

Checked in on line, but still had to go through the kiosk screens, when the kiosk process finished I must have missed seeing the last screen and did not know I needed to go to collect the key. So spent a long time standing around when I didn't need to. Suggest the kiosk screen says what to do next which the user has to acknowledge before the screen closes. Would be good to have a floating staff member who can check customer progress and help and direct them. Apart from that all good and efficient. The only thing I don't like is the rip off insurance costs which can double the daily rental. I don't believe that the insurance does cost what they charge.

Five stars from me. Cheerful pick up at the airport, no messing about. Get to the office and the young ladies their are all professional and efficient. In 5 mins I'm behind the wheel. I went for the cheaper models but the estima was in excellent condition, clean, and great miles to fuel. Drop off was easy as, and took just a couple of minutes. I've been hiring for 7 years. Go is definitely the better of the bunch.

Go Rentals was just brilliant, I have used them on three occasions and will continue to use them each time I visit Auckland or anywhere in NZ. They have moved to a new location so make note. I really like their self-service machines which are really super easy to use. They also have a one hour grace period so very handy if you get stuck in Auckland peak hour traffic. Great service and super helpful staff.

We needed to hire a van for a work function. GO Rentals was by the far the easiest site to navigate and the booking process was simple and easy. We rented a car for 9 days, the car was fine, not too old. We drove about 1500 km without any problem. Please note the office is not located inside the airport, but they do provide free shuttle bus, it is about 5 min. The bus driver was friendly but i can't say the same for the office staff. The desk laid was not so friendly, we added a baby chair, but the car didnt have the points to ancher it, so we end up using our own baby seat. We returned the car one day earlier as I need to short my trip, but they didnt refound me. Overall was ok.

Good value for money. The only negative thing is that thr pick up (shuttle service) from Auckland was horrible as it took us 45 minutes over the phone just for someone to answer our call. We were 1 out of 3 who were stranded at the airport. Still, would rent again

We used for one day trip and went without issue. Only concern was that we filled the entire tank up with gas at the end before dropping the car off, and the staff still thought the tank wasn't "completely full".

Excellent price for a near-new hybrid Toyota Camry. This meant that we saved even more by using way less petrol which is ~$2.10 per litre in NZ!!

When we arrived at the airport we needed to get the car and drive to Paihia, which is a long way. I called Go and was told to go to door 2 in departures and wait outside, the shuttle would be along soon. We got there and waited half an hour, I called Go again and was told the driver had been round several times but we weren't there. I said we were there, I mean we are here now, we were looking for him. Could he come again now please as we are waiting. So we waited another half hour and I called again. Yes he's been several times again, are you sure you're in the right place? Yes, outside door 2, departures. Are you waiting in the middle lane? No, I wasn't told to do that. Anyway at that point the driver pulled up alongside us, to drop people off. We asked for a lift, and the driver said he'd been looking for us. Had we been waiting by the door, because we were supposed to wait in the middle lane. I said no-one told us that, and if he's expecting someone doesn't he come and look? He just said he didn't see us and could we complain to the manager as this is always happening. Anyway we got there in the end and the car was OK. Just took one and a half hours longer than it needed to. Plus... We could have walked there in ten minutes. Bad communication.

Winner. Everything was excellent. I was off the free pick up first and cunningly left my luggage to check in first The (quite lovely) young lady processed me super quick and I had time to go back and claim my bag before they had finished unloading the others I rented a budget box (being a cheap bastard) and it came with a lions heart. Clean as and pretty new. Had a couple of slight marks for careless bastards before me but the young lady spotted them. Sweet I was out of there in less than 5 mins. Bonus! The car was a tiny Toyota Vitz but I'm sold on the little bugger I was dreading hitting a major hill that winds up over a pass as I'd have to be paddling out the window to get up it, and waving at everyone passing by But nah, 100km/h all the way up, even with tight corners lol! Passed every bloody thing on the way (double lanes) Nice one Go. The name says it all. Not one ticket as I wasn't speeding, but I wasn't going to go slow either. Summary Very impressed and I'm a bit of a prick to impress Cheers guys

Their rates are cheap but be aware. Their lowest insurance fee requires a credit card deposit of $2500. They will not accept debit card. We did not have enough credits on a card to make this happen so we were forced to accept higher insurance.
