Pick up location was convenient and easy Ordered a Mazda 6 or similar, was given a mid range SUV, didn't worry me but some people that struggle with larger high vehicles may want to make sure you know what you're getting, vehicle was low ks and well presented. Pre paid for vehicle and full cover, insurance stated $2500 excess on booking but at the desk was told $4500 excess unless I pay an extra $37 to bring the excess to zero. An upsell scam if you ask me, as the same thing was sold to every customer in the room with me. No gst recept for the extra either despite asking. Solid 3/5

Always amazes me that in the 21st Century a pre-ordered rental car can take so long to process. I don't think Hertz can pretend to be #1in 2022.

Very good car rental. Nila was very helpful and patient with us.

Car is fantastic...however to get the car even with our ID.... was very difficult. Because our card did not have our name on it. I get the policies etc to safe guard against fraud but the signatures both matched and it still wasn't accepted. Had to get an email sent from the bank to get ID verification. Also alot of hidden costs with the way insurance is covered etc. A $200+ vehicle ended up being $600+ Just be aware and make allowances when hiring a car. Ended up being a 30 to 40min process.

Very helpful... We were given a choice Sedan, SUV .We chose the 2021 Mitsubishi SUV. Staff are professional as well

Hiring the car was easy, and staff were incredible helpful each step of the way. I had an issue with one element of the service that threatened to damage what was otherwise a positive experience... Fortunately the customer service team was quick to respond to my concerns and worked with me to an acceptable outcome. Ultimately, very happy with my experience dealing with Hertz.

As a gold member you expect a certain level.of service and they still seem to be figuring this out. Maybe not enough staff or maybe just developing the differences between one off customers and gold club. Car wasn't ready until i made a suggestion for another. Dropping off was a little confusing with no one to check in. This could easily be improved but with only two people handling all the one off customers, they didn't have time to be courteous as they could to gold members.

They are a good team. They have occasionally made mistakes with booking or with the make and model, but apologise and do what they can. It's worth becoming a member of the Gold Club Rewards thing if you're going to use them more than once, since it saves a lot of time writing down your details in the office before you rent your car.

I was sent to the wrong location by my booking site, but the lady was nice and got me settled. The domestic airport location opens at 0600hrs, so if you book anything earlier, then it will be at the international airport side, at least for international flights. They offer an easy return by pre-purchasing gasoline at $2 NZD a liter, which is about even with station prices from what I have seen so far.

The staff were very efficient and helpful but we felt they could have been more specific about navigation to the ferry terminal in Wellington. Being tourists, we were not aware of how to find our way to the Wellington ferry terminal drop-off point when we needed to drop off our rental car. Hertz provides a leaflet for toll payments but nothing on finding our way to the dropoff location. The addition of this information would be much appreciated in future rentals.

After returning the vehicle from the Auckland City branch, I was pleasantly surprised by the duty manager going out of his way to ensure his representation on Hertz was first class. The return was 12/9/2017 @ 1245. My apologies for not remembering his name. I always use Hertz and this service reassures me of my choice.

They want $39 a day for third party insurance! I am very nervous driving this car now as I think it's too high

Was my first time here for a rental car. It took only 5 minutes to complete the formalities and I was already driving the car. A special mention also about the very good condition of the Toyota Prado which I drove.

A little hard when you are dropping off the car if you're a first time customer. Had to circled the place twice for a staff to told me to just park in front of other cars. Cars was clean and didn't have any odor in it.

Very easy to get the car and get going. The Hertz country is right in arrival reminder and that makes it so the more convenient.
