This was actually the best offer of them all when I looked for the car. Good cars and ok service for a very very reasonable price. When you order a prius you get a prius (no place for lottery here) :) On a slight downside, the car wasn't what I would actually call "clean". Overall experience was very pleasant.

Affordable car rental. I love the Renault Megane 1.2 Turbo, 5-star for it's fuel effeciency. One full tank can last for almost 750 kms +. The only setback during my rental with Hitch was they have omitted a booster seat for my child which I have booked online. However, the total booking price inclusive of the booster seat was charged to my credit card yesterday during my 'After Hours' pick up. I had to buy a booster seat at The Warehouse because I did not want to be fined by the police. This has caused delay to my journey to Matamata and I have arrived there late at 10 pm. Glad that they have refunded me back the amount.

Went off without a "hitch." The website wasn't secure (no "https") and I didn't want to put my credit card information in, so I e-mailed the company and they got back to me quickly with my booking, allowing me to pay in-person when I arrived. When I landed at the airport, I called them and they came to pick me up promptly. I paid just a little over $200NZD for 6 days with included full insurance coverage (and I was 21 at the time of transaction!). The car was in great condition, and the price absolutely could not be beat by any of the other companies I looked at. Got to drive this cute, little, green Mazda from Christchurch to Kaikoura, Hamner Springs, and around the Northern part of the Southern Island over a long Easter weekend. When I arrived back in Christchurch to return the car, I was cutting it close to my flight departure time (as were the couple in the queue ahead of me) so I mentioned it and the employee on-duty was happy to deliver us to the airport and send us closing statements later on. All in all, a great experience!

Great service at the counter and a decent vehicle, but I felt like they could have been more obviously up front for what you will be charged for when we booked. I wouldn’t say the cost was unreasonable, but there were unexpected costs. We were made aware of all potential costs before we hired the vehicle, but it would have been nicer to know them before we even booked

We've rented hundreds of cars over the years. Being a charity we always rent budget cars to save money which means worse service. Not at Hitch Auckland Airport. All staff are extremely personable and professional. The cars are good, the price is excellent, the staff are phenomenal.

The process to collect and return the car was hassle free and quick. The service rendered was amazing. They provided free shuttle to and fro from the airport. The car we rented was very nice and cozy. It was clean and everything works perfectly. The boot was very spacious. It was a small car which made driving and especially parking very easy a lot of places in Auckland requires parallel parking. They even helped me sort out my booking as I made a mistake in my collection date even when I couldn't change it on Expedia. Very satisfied with this company's services and the car!

Good Clean Reliable Holiday Transport, Friendly Efficient Staff, No Hassle Car Rental For Two 73 year old's. What you would except from a car hire company

Excellent service. The pickup from Auckland airport was great, the staff who handled our paperwork were friendly and very helpful and the car was awesome. Clean, tidy and very fuel efficient. The handing back process happened without us even noticing then we were given a ride back to the airport by a very friendly staff member. Good one hitch, we will look you up next time we need a car, thanks.

Very reasonable rental charge for a very neat car. By the time you add FULLY comprehensive insurance the cost is less than the International rental companies basic charge. Service was fast friendly and efficient. Pickup and return to airport was excellent. Would recommend to friends.

We rented a van for a family of 5 for 3 and a half month. The car was great, we had no problems. We changed the place of relocation and needed the car 2 days longer. Everything was possible without problems. The staff in the stores are not always customerfriendly, especially if you are from abroad. Even an Email contact or a recall didn't work. But I absolutely recommend Hitch! Next time again!

An excellent rental company. Delightful gentleman operating the shuttle service. Shuttle arrived at the airport within minutes of calling. Documentation completed in minutes. Car ready and waiting. In immaculate condition. Could not fault any of Hitch Car Rentals service. As for cost....amazing. I was recommended this company by another hirer. I have no hesitation in highly recommending them, for their service and the exceptionally great cost. "True" value for money. Thank you.

The transfer from Auckland airport to the Hitch office was excellent and the office and car storage site are top class. Friendly staff who highlighted the number to call if there were any problems. The car looked good (although with a few more minor marks than from more expensive providers). I used it for a month with no problems arising and returned it to Christchurch airport which has the same quality of office staff and transfer service. Overall, my experience was top class.

I have used this company successfully 4 times now and will continue to do so. Pick and drop off were prompt and the driver very friendly and funny. The cars have always been in good condition, no damage or malfunction and spotlessly clean and a great price. Always ready on time. Great service.

On my second rental and I will review after this but so far it's great. They seem to have the cheapest comprehensive package with full insurance meaning no need for a credit card (a debit card will do). On each occasion I have been upgraded (from standard large to premium large then budget SUV to standard SUV) and on each occasion I have been assured that they don't care if I damage it. Both cars are less than a year old and in great condition. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and make sure you book on the website as it offered me a 25% discount each time making them significantly cheaper than their competitors and as good quality if not better. Staff are friendly and very helpful also (dropping me off at Apollo motorhomes, off their standard route).

I rented a 'compact' car from Hitch Christchurch for 3.5 weeks. They were great value for money (especially when using their web discount code). I always take out full insurance, and Hitch beat competitors by about $6/day! The airport pick up was swift and the staff were friendly and informative. Don't be concerned that they are a relatively new company. The car was fabulous and clean. I will be using Hitch again!

I’ve never done a google review before, but I thought this one was necessary. From the moment of getting picked up at the airport, there was friendly service. It was a quick 5 minute run through of the contract and were given the keys and off we went. Brought it back with no issues, and got the car that we had booked. This company is super amazing for under 25 year old drivers.. as I am one and their policy is fantastic. Would recommend them 10/10 and will definitely be using them again :)

The online booking process is simple & straight forward to collecting the car on pickup & drop off, the shuttle from the airport is great too, the staff are always friendly & accommodating. Great car at a great price . The staff were very friendly and helpful. You could say it went without a hitch! Haha Very helpful that we received it with a full tank of fuel, as many companies in my experience set you off with half a tank, or in some cases nearly empty! Cannot fault them.. The staff are generally friendly. Picking up the car took more than 30 minutes, and the line was long. The exterior of the car was not very clean when we picked it up, and there are prior big bumper and fender dents. We requested to get another car, but the staff told us no any other car is available. Overall, it’s still a good value compared to the car hires at the airport, but please plan ahead and expect to take some time when picking up and returning.

Hired a budget compact car for our recent trip to Auckland. Was an older car (as expected) and wasn't anything special but it did the job and comfortably took us to where we needed to go. The after hours collection was simple and drop off was made easy too. Would happily recommend Hitch to anyone.

What a fantastic experience from Elliot. Fast efficient and extremely friendly. The prompt service was appreciated. Even though they advertise the cars as being older, you would never know. The little car we had was in almost perfect condition. We wil be returning again and will not hesitate to use these guys out of Christchurch. I would recommend to all and you definitely get value for your money

Good cheap car rental. Fuss free pickup and return and they picked us up and sent us back to Auckland airport. Staff are very busy but still pleasant and very efficient. Note that if there's you come after office hours (after 6pm) and arrange an after hours pickup, they will arrange for you to take the free Park N Ride bus to the long term parking to pick up your car from a generic counter there.

We were very happy with Hitch Car Rentals. The price was competitive; the staff were friendly and helpful and supplied our car without delay. They are conveniently located to Queenstown Airport and the transfer to and fro quick and efficient. I will use their services again on my next visit.

We booked the car half year earlier before we used it. The price is relatively good. During the pcikup, waiting time was rather long and we got surprisingly an 11-year old Mitsubishi Outlander. We doubt if we could keep driving for a 4-week trip from Auckland to Christchurch but the car was loyal to us and insisted to our final destination - Christchurch Airport. For newcomers perhaps to note that cheap cars of Hitch are relatively old ones.

All staff was professional, courteous, helpful and friendly. The vehicle was clean, well maintained and got us where we needed. I read some reviews that Hitch was a substandard company, but that was not the case for us. In fact, they were better than many of the larger rental companies we've used in the past.

Excellent service, pick up was prompt and the car was great. We opted for a people carrier/minivan and it was great, loads of room and very comfortable. Will definitely use Hitch again and will recommend them to friends and family

First time we have used them. Friendly service. Although we did have to wait about 20 minutes to get picked up from the terminal. Our car was very tidy (Mazda Demio) and served our purpose. We will use again the next time we travel to NZ.

We booked our car hire through Car Del Mar, which we normally do from other positive experiences. There wasn’t too much info on Hitch Car Rentals so we were a bit apprehensive. However, we couldn’t have been more wrong - what a great company! After a disappointing experience with our Campervan hire Hitch were great. Arranging the transfer from the airport was easy and efficient, once we arrived collecting the car and sorting the paperwork was so quick and easy and there were no hidden charges. We hired an automatic and had a Toyota Prius, a little different to what i’m used to but the staff we very helpful with clearly showing you how to operate the car and if you needed any more help they were happy to assist. Dropping the car back off was fine too, no problems and paperwork was completed quickly and deposit on the credit card returned. The return to the airport was quick and stress free. The service we received here was first class throughout, do not hesitate to book Hitch Car Rental.

We loved the welcoming convenience of the airport pickup on arrival.. The car pickup was efficient, the car was clean and very adequate for our needs. Staff were courteous, friendly and helpful with local information to get us started.. The return of the car again was no problem and we were immediately taken to our hotel.. Great service thank you.

I rented a super saver SUV from Hitch Queenstown for 10 days. We booked with Hitch because they had the most affordable price. Booking was very easy, as was getting picked up from the airport. However, once we collected our car it had not been washed between users. All the other cars were also not cleaned. We didn't mind this as the price was $300 cheaper than any other car rental. The car itself was average at best, it was clearly offloaded from a previous car company, the set up was in Japanese and it was old. After driving the car home we realised there was a nail in one of the tyres, after taking the car to a mechanic we were told the whole tyre needed to be replaced. We took the car back to Hitch. The gentlemen who served us was pretty rude and said that we were not covered even though we had the maximum insurance they offer. He was very sarcastic and that was not a good experience, he also said we had to drive the old car to a fuel station to fill it up with fuel otherwise we would have additional charges. Luckily, another worker (he was friendly) came into the office and assured us we didn't have to pay and gave us another car free of charge. This new car had an old banana peel in the back, and also had not been cleaned. If you want a good price and an average car Hitch is the way to go, however don't expect clean, new car and their SUV models are questionable with old tyres. Make sure you get the full coverage

Pretty much the cheapest car rental service in NZ. Cars are reliable, staffs are helpful, but it takes them forever to pick up the phone every time I called. I waited at least 20 mins at the airport calling them again and again, using their public phone number and the airport hotline. None of them worked. It’s still a pretty good service, especially when you’re on the budget, but prepare extra time on the phone call part.

Fantastic prices, great quality car and friendly service at the Auckland pickup depot. We hired a Toyota Prius hybrid and it was brilliant, hardly used any petrol and ran like a charm. Thanks team for the great service.

The rental car I got from Hitch was great! A fairly new car, clean and without signs of former damage it took me safely through both NZ islands. The team at Hitch was friendly and competent, the booking was easy and without any problems or hidden costs. A huge advantage in my opinion (and why I chose Hitch) is the zero excess insurance (which means absolutely zero costs!) and no underage fee (with being 23 all the other car rental agencies demanded exorbitant fees). Taking the car from Christchurch to Auckland - e.g. using the ferry - meant a relocation fee but even so the total price was comparable to or below to the other companies! I highly recommend Hitch and would choose it again. Thanks for the memories and experiences I made with my beloved Mazda 3 :)

I just loved the car that we hired, so much so, I think that I will purchase the same make and model for my own car. Hitch car rental were a absolutely wonderful company to deal with. Friendly, polite and only to willing to help and support. They were also interested in any comments that I might have, that could help with customers relationships. The following sentence says it all. "If I have another opportunity to travel to New Zealand again, they would be the only rental car company that I would use." Ashleigh

The car (Mazda verisa) that we rent was awesome! Even though it was the cheapest car among others but its performance was superb! Easy to drive and recommended to those who need small car with great performance! The staffs also very helpfull. The service that they provide especially on pick up & drop off was smooth and fast. However, the balance of payment that we supposed to pay at rental desk (bill of invoice) was slightly different from what they charged us. But yaaa...Thats the cons of it. The rest is good and will use your service if there is a best offer in the future 😊

I was impressed with Hitch's efficiency at collection and return at Christchurch NZ airport office. However, more important was the assistance they offered me when my baggage was delayed. I had no address to have the backpack sent on to as I had planned to head off into the mountains to camp. The lady driving the shuttle overheard me telling another passenger in the shuttle of my predicament and immediately OFFERED to let me use their office address as a place to get my backpack delivered to. I didn't even have to ask. I was very relieved. So, thank you VERY much, Hitch staff there. The vehicle I rented was fine, and with a very good fuel economy (4.8 litres per 100 km). It even had a GPS/satnav. Unfortunately it only had maps of Japan and was in Japanese. I suppose that's what happens if you buy second-hand cars from Japan to rent in NZ. But, if it enables Hitch to offer the lowest price for car rental, then that's fine with me. I didn't need GPS - I had a GPS precursor with me - known as MAP!!

Hitch Car rental is very good company. Staff are very good. We have been served by staff member Sandy Saini at Auckland Airport office, she helped us nicely during our visit. Excellent customer services and very helpful. I can recommend anyone.

I would rent here again! The boot of the car wasn’t locking and after unsuccessfully trying to get it repaired, they sent someone to drive 5 hours to bring us a replacement car! That’s service! The pick-up and drop-off to the airport also went off without a HITCH! ☺️

In past always seem to have had some glitch with car rental companies but to be very corny "No Glitch with Hitch" On a serious note would definitely use them again if travelling NZ. Our family had a lot to do with Hitch over the last 10 days. A group of three adult couples and one 11 month old, we rented a people mover to go to Waiheke for a wedding. We had ordered a child seat in advance and confirmed the week before. The seat was available, but there was no one available who actually knew how to fit it. This delayed us by over half an hour as we, and various Hitch staff wrestled with fitting. After the weekend wedding, we returned the people mover to collect three separate rentals. On the plus side, even though we had not provided a common time for the three new bookings, Hitch were able to synchronise for us. On the other side of the ledger, you guessed it, it took about 45 minutes to fit the seat in the new vehicle. This was despite our unanswered reminder email a couple of days earlier. Child seats are a serious matter. Hitch really should look to get instructions for the ones it has, and ensure staff are familiar with them. As one of my daughters said, it looks like staff are overstretched. The second rental we had, a Mazda 3, 2015 was an excellent vehicle. We had a problem with the fob key that could not have been anticipated. The AA call out had to be paid for, but we were reimbursed with little or no delay. What could have been a great experience ended up so so. Would I recommend Hitch? Only if you don't need a child seat!

We left a cell phone in the car, under the seat and they returned it to us via courier, which we had to arrange ourselves. Had a very nice car. Would recommend and would rent a car from Them again Christchurch branch 11/9/18

Never heard of Hitch rentals before but after our first experience using them, definitely going to use them again and again! The car we got had no issues and the Mahindra we had was the perfect car for our road trip across the North Island of New Zealand. Reasonably priced, excellent car fleet and flexible service and return times. No extra cost for more drivers of the car, we were all under 25 and this was not an issue for Hitch. 100% using Hitch Rentals again.

We hired a car from Hitch last week and were extremely happy with the car, the price and especially the service. It is our first trip to NZ and we were running late for our internal flight from Auckland to Christchurch. We didn't have any time to fill up the car and when we arrived at Hitch there was no problem and, in fact, the accountant gave us a lift to the domestic terminal straightaway rather than having to wait around for the free shuttle. We got to our flight on time and will be using Hitch when we return to Auckland in a few days time and would recommend to everybody. Thanks!

Very friendly staff and Manager very helpful. Car was clean and almost no apparent damage. However Air Con was low on gas so it got a bit warm on hotter days. Manager kindly agreed to pay full tank of petrol in compensation. Overall a very good experience.

Used Hitch from Christchurch airport. Easy and efficient pick-up and check-in. No problems with car during the rental. Had to pay extra to drop off at Aero-Park as it was outside office hours. However, this process was quite seamless. Good value for money and would definitely use again.

The customer service was very good and quick! However, being an English speaker we got a Japanese car, and it was really hard to use all of the functions the car had because I cannot read Japanese. As well, we were not given a working key fob so it was a little bit of a hassle to have to lock and unlock the car from only the driver side door. These were my only complaints though! Which are minor! Other than that, everything else was great!

I had a wonderful experience hiring a vehicle from Hitch. Was well informed with the rental process, the price was affordable and the customer service was efficient and rapid . Truly great service and vehicle. I recommend Hitch to anyone.

Pick up was fine but we had some issues with drop off. We were not told that the car needed to be dropped off at another location if it was before 8am. We arrived at the rental place at 7:45, and since we then saw that there’s a $35 fee to drop off at the other location, we figured we could wait 15 minutes. At 8:15 there was still not anyone at the office. We called and they told us to take the car to the other location still! We finally had to give up, leave the keys and take an Uber to make our flight. We had written 7:30 drop off time so they needed to communicate this to us, and keep the $35 fee in mind if you’re arriving early or late.

The car was very clean an reliable. The vehicle was exaclty as decribed when booking it online. The van was prompt to pick us up at the airport to take us to the rental place a few minutes down the road. The staff was very friendly. The AV screen spoke Japanese and we couldn’t figure out how to turn it off, but no big deal.

Hitch is a local company which specialises in providing inexpensive car rental options. The cars are older but reliable. We chose a Prius both for its boot size (two shopaholics) and economical fuel consumption, a consideration when travelling in NZ, as petrol prices varied from just below $2 to $2:45 per litre. The car was clean, easy to drive and never missed a beat. We also rented a sat nav which had a couple of foibles eg using direct routes even if it meant veering off and then back on to the main road. Once we figured this out we were set. I would definitely recommend Hitch, we travelled 6000km no problems and at a much cheaper rate than many other companies quoted us.

Efficient, straight forward online booking service. Followed up by friendly team at Hitch who showed me helpful point's about driving car I was hiring. Contract easy to understand what insurance option I was selecting. Quick shuttle service to airport. Will use Hitch again.

Had never heard of Hitch prior to our booking but will be using them again. Shuttle service was prompt, the lovely lass that organised our vehicle for us was efficient and informative and we were on the road in 10 minutes. Drop off was just as easy. TIP: This place is busy so make sure you take this into account when organising vehicle returns in conjunction with departing flights

The cars are exceptional value. Second time I've used them both now in Auckland and Christchurch. The guy they have in Christchurch provides exceptional customer service. They're still a little slow on processing, but they're newish. They're my go to place for cars. Thanks Hitch!

Fantastic hire. Great value. Very good cars available for an even better price. Check in was a bit busy, with many hires arriving, but still got great service. Drop off super easy and fast.

Rented a car from Hitch for a 1 week trip around the North Island. After landing at the airport, I had to call Hitch a few times before anyone answered the phone. They said the shuttle would be there within 20 minutes. The shuttle did not show up. I called again and no one picked up. I went outside to wait some more. I went back and called again (now about 35 min since the first call) and was told that the shuttle had come and we weren’t there. I assured the lady that we’d been standing out there the entire time and saw shuttles for many of their competitors come and go but their shuttle had not been there. She said she would send him “again.” Anyway – about an hour after the first phone call we were finally picked up. Service at the pickup location was efficient and impersonal. We were provided with a 2007 Nissan Tiida, which is essentially like a refrigerator with an engine. It drove like one, as well. That given, I did see some newer model Mazdas and Nissans. I assume the lady was just mad about the shuttle fiasco and stuck it to us. The car – reasonably clean and got us from point A to point B. Standard features you would expect on a 2007, which did not include Bluetooth and it had a CD player (no USB ports, obviously). Did not care for the gas mileage. The return was quick and easily and the shuttle to the airport was much better planned than the one from the airport. Would I rent from Hitch again? Probably not. I think JUCY is at a comparable price point and my experience with their cars and customer service was just subjectively better a better one.

Relaxed, friendly and very easy to deal with. I'd definitely recommend this company. I've dealt with other car rental companies who are pretentious, unfriendly, and / or pushy with their sales pitch for additional extras e.g. excess insurance but these guys were great.

Rocky start as had to change vehicle due to a fault. Some confusion when swapping car but they looked after me when sorted, very prompt and polite when I phone to extend time on booking 3 times now. Price very good. If you get through webjet suggest take hitches insurance and not Webjet as they reimburse you after the fact.

Good staff, some older cars but in reasonable condition. Our car had a very basic Radio, so only worked in major cities . Well priced.$$. Also had a welcome in Japanese every time we started it.

Have used Hitch many times in both Queenstown and recently in Auckland. Quality vehicles, genuine, helpful staff, and a great price. Only improvement would be in-terminal service, but that would bump the price right up. Keep it up team!

Good price but we returned car at 9am and didn't get dropped backed to airport til 9.35am which is too long to wait. They needed more staff on. I would rather pay more and have an efficient service

Awesome company will definately use again! No deposit with $0 Excess Insurance - total price quoted is exactly what you pay for. Drama free, easy process at pick up and drop off, everyone from the front desk to the Driver at the airport drop off and pick up was friendly and helpful.

Great little Honda Fit gave no troubles the whole way. One tyre a bit flat on pick up ( fine once we put some air in) and they unexpectedly held a large bond because we had booked through a third party. Pick up at airport took about 45 minutes on arrival, then another 30 or so at the office before we got on the road.

We have used Hitch a number of times and have always had comfortable and reliable cars. The one time we had a problem with one they swapped it straight away. Check in can be very slow though so allow extra time.

We had our car for two weeks during the Xmas holiday and needed to extend for another week. Nothing was too much. Service was excellent and staff were friendly. Highly recommended

Great experience renting with Hitch! Instructions to get to rental location were clear, car was clean and in tip-top condition, and staff always had a smile on. On top of that, the rate was far better than the nearest competitors. Will definitely be back!

Great value for money as far as the rental is concerned, but when we landed the 0800 on our pickup instructions kept diverting to answer machine and we stuffed around for half an hr almost catching a taxi to the office. Found the office number and used the landline number, had to wait another 30 mins. Be aware the full insurance nil excess cover does not cover windscreen and tyre and there was no option for this cover, we only found this out after we had a large stone flick up from a truck, it put a large chip in the windscreen which caused a crack only to be told the repairs are at our cost so here I am on my way to get the windscren fixed, really angry about that as the reason i always take nil excess option is for full peace of mind for this reason only we will probably not use Hitch again, but if nil windscreen cover does not phase you then Hitch is a good option.

We hired an 8 seater for 7 of us， it was in excellent condition. Pretty much as new， it has plenty of space perfect for our road trip around south island New Zealand. There was plenty of boot space for our lugagge. We didnt have a single problem with the car at all. They had a free shuttle to pick us to and from the airport which was very convenient. Customer service was great and we would definutely hire from Hitch again in the future.

5/5 We were so happy with our Auckland Hitch rental experience so we had high hopes when we landed in Christchurch and were able to book another rental car through Hitch for our 11 day road trip around the South Island. We got our car during an after hours pick up and after having a Renault Megane in Auckland we were pretty bummed about getting a Mazda that had its central console completely in Japanese. We called up the next day and spoke with Anthony to see if we could switch to another car that didn't have Japanese as the default language (my friend and I are from the states so driving on the left is stressful enough, we figured a console speaking to us in a different language didn't do a lot to help). We took in our Mazda and Anthony helped us trade to the same Renault Megane we had in Auckland! We could not be more pleased with Anthony's attentive and kind customer service. He really helped us out and we're extremely grateful to him and Hitch for helping to give us a wonderful New Zealand road trip experience!

Great upgraded car..Mazda 3. Was comfortable, and easy to drive, and MODERN!!!!!! Didn't realize that CHCH was so big.. should have added gps! Have used a number of rental cars, this was up to the BIG BOYS, but at a much much lower price!!!! Only drawback was that it was not a " Drive off from airport", had to phone and wait 15 mins beside Taxi stand to be picked up by shuttle service, but , it was worth it!!! Return from depot to airport by shuttle .

Living in the Netherlands we didn't know Hitch. We found Hitch via the internet and from our first inquiry (mid December 2017) till the drop off of our car on the 15th of March 2018 (after 26 days and about 4000 km's) we have been very satisfied with all elements of their service. Reasonable price, good car and nice people. Hopefully this has not been our last trip to New Zealand and when we will come back, we will certainly go to Hitch again.

Lives up to quotes on webaite. Friendly staff, convenient location, well priced, addituonal items including extra driver and cross island transfers and prompt service at beginning and end. The latter is really important as many companies make you change cars at the ferry which is inconvenient or charge a fortune to take it with you. With hitch everything literally went with a hitch. We had a Mahindra for 5 weeks and the best SUV rental we have ever had.

Hiring car was easy but ended up with a Fiat Punto. European car. Took abit to get used to. Every time I stop at lights or round abouts the car stopped. Had had a very long day travelling so didnt turn around and go back to them. Car had cigarettes in ashtray. When I returned car i mentioned about the stopping and wad told i shouldve taken it back. Surprising cheap, especially compared to the big name places you get from a Google search. Car smelled a bit like smoke and the dash display was mostly in Japanese, but it ran great and was fuel efficient.

Low price with small cars

Came on November 1st 2017 to Auckland airport. Waited about 15minutes for the transfer to pick up the car. Got a Toyota Prius which is a hybrid car which means you can use petrol and battery. Awesome car would totally recommend it to anyone. The petrol was showing that it was only filled to 6 bars not a full tank. I also took a photo that was dated on it just in case. But my husband asked the staff member to note it down. 12 days later we took the car back and filled it up to 6 bars not a full tank. On the 30th of November hitch rentals Auckland airport took out an extra $55 for petrol because it was not returned with a full tank. My husband called them they said they would get the refund put back in. On the 6th of December 2017 I called and they said nothing had been noted and that she would tell their manager Dan to do the refund. She said it takes 5-6 days to be put back in. 18th of December came still nothing. Called staff said can’t do nothing call Dan the manager the next day. Called up voice message went to leave a voice message and message box filled up can’t leave a message. Called manager on his cellphone explained it to him sent him the photo that had the time and date on it. I said for him to text me when he had done the refund. This morning at 4:30AM he text me to say refund in. Thanks a lot of your professionalism Dan 👍 really appreciated your text at 4AM. Getting 4 stars for the car not for your service!

Abgabe war schnell erledigt und wurden dann direkt per Shuttle zum Flughafen gebracht.
