This is the only way to see the island! Not only are the bikes an environmentally friendly choice and are charged via solar panel, but they are super silent and contribute nothing to noise pollution. Environmental responsibility aside, they are tons of fun! Cruising around bends at 50km/h is a awesome rush. I haven’t ridden a motorbike in years but 5 minutes in and it was easy going.

A fantastic up close and personal way to explore the whole island. Bikes are very stable and not too heavy. Good for those remote spots off the beaten track. Great service from 'Seagar', the owner who ensures you're safe before you leave his carpark. A 5 minute walk from Claris airport to pick them up and easy to arrange luggage drop off at accommodation.

Marc and I left our car at home and hired two Motu bikes for 4 days. This is most definitely the best way to see the entire island. I’ve never rode a motor style bike and found these to be super easy to ride and so much fun. It’s worth every penny spent. Seagar provides above excellent service. I will do this again!

By far the best and most interesting way to explore Great Barrier. Super fun and cool mode of transport. Especially for those who have ridden motorbikes. Bikes have a 70km range which is enough to travel around the Island. Rates are very fair and reasonable. Saegar is very friendly and easy to deal with. Quick walk from Claris airport terminal. Totally recommend to anyone going to the Barrier. And I’m definitely coming back to do this another day.

Really good bikes, having driven petrol mopeds before I really appreciated having a perfectly balanced electric bike with a responsive engine that loves going up hills. Customer service was delightful and professional, really felt like making sure I had a good, safe time was the priority. I rented the bike over night and was given a fresh battery in the morning so I could carry on riding without worrying about range.

Absolutely phenomenal, the best thing you can do on Barrier if you like to explore. The bikes eat up the hills and are great fun if you can ride a bicycle.

Zoom~zoom or should I say Zap~zap! Spent the day sipping around Great Barrier with our excellent guide and 50-year local, Russell. The electric scooter/motorcycle are a joy, so easy to use! Russell was one-of-a-kind... knows so much about the island, hidden delights and flora+fauna. We learned so much while enjoying a lovely tour of the amazing island. Thank you all for making our trip so memorable!

Quite possibly the best way to explore Great Barrier island. These bikes are amazing and a ton of fun, providing a truly unique way to see this untouched paradise.
Seagar is a really switched on guy who seems genuinely interested in making this a great experience, which it is. I would highly recommend it to anyone considering a trip to the Barrier.

What a blast! This was so the highlight of our trip to the barrier. We took these bikes up to Port Fitzroy and back to our camp ground at Whangapoua and still had plenty of juice left. They just cruised up the hills and could hit 50kmh if toy pushed then but 35kmh was a good safe speed on the windy island roads. I would totally recommend this to anyone who was considering it. If you can ride a bike you can ride one of these. Just do it!

Great way to get around the island. Easy for beginners and fun for experienced riders. No motorcycle license needed, just a driver’s license. Friendly service and spare batteries available. Highly recommended!
