J.I picked up the vehicle after hours and the exchange with the hotel next door was simple. I was on my way and happy with the car I received for my journey. The car was clean and tidy and ran well the whole time I was in New Zealand. Drop off was convenient and I was even given a lift back to the airport, what excellent service. I easily saved a few hundred dollars going with Pegasus, as they are the best priced rental car company near the Auckland airport. I highly recommend them for your next trip to New Zealand.
S.Wonderful rental car experience with Pegasus. We rented a car while in New Zealand working as winemakers and kept it for two months. Pegasus provided us with a great little car at a very reasonable price. Our check in and check out was seamless, and there was never any issues with our car. s.Don’t waste your time elsewhere. These guys are so streamlined and transparent in their processes it’s completely stress free and amazing value. Check the car, cover yourself for any possible damages, return it how you found it and fill her up when you’re done. Boom! Easy. Our car was very clean and tidy the odd nick and small dent as detailed on the report and in date stamped pics and vids by myself. It was an older economy model and therefore had a musty smell from a lot of use. It happens. So, we returned it with a lovely vanilla scent as thanks for such wonderful, prompt and thorough service from start to finish. Thanks Pegasus Peeps! We look forward to dealing with you on our next visit.

We had vehicle issues that needed sorting but we still needed a vehicle to get us around in for a few days. So, long story short. M.Great service, lovely staff, car was well presented and cheap to run as well as cheap to hire. Plenty of cars to choose from and I took out the optional extra insurance for peice of mind as that was only $10 per day. Highly recommend to others.

Even when I extended the rental and my card SA bank card failed there was understanding from Pegasus car rentals. Neat, tidy and a very reliable Nissan Tida... Thinking of getting my wife one.

A.I would recommend Pegasus Car rentals at Auckland Airport, the prices to hire the vehicles is reasonable and also the insurance you pay. the Fleet is older but they are in great condition. The customer service is great I had a last minute car hire and within calling them they had sent my contract information etc to me with 10mins. Great Service and the pick up and drop of service is easy I would recommend Pegasus Car Rentals Auckland Airport.
N.We hired a small Nissan "Wingroad" wagon for a week. The price was very reasonable, we got the car that we booked and it was clean, nice to drive and reliable.
I expected the 1500cc engine to be under powered, but it was well matched to the gearbox and no trouble on the highways and hills. We got about 6.7L/100km fuel consumption.
The car had a few minor chips and scratches and had 150,000km on the clock, no Cruise control and the radio / navigator is all in Japanese. All OK for us when the price is taken into account.
Pick up and drop off was quick and straight forward, and Leigh dropped us off to our accommodation afterwards (3km away). Very good customer service
I took out the insurance excess reduction (to $287.50 incl. GST) for an extra $10 per day. This was a better price than most other hire companies and includes the windscreen. It is just as well I did, because the NZ roads have a lot of loose stone on them and we got a cracked windscreen from a passing car on the main highway from Rotorua to Taupo. I think the chance of getting a cracked windscreen in NZ is very high. Most other countries sweep the loose stone off the roads after repair or resealing - Not NZ
I would recommend Pegasus Auckland Airport to others.
Note that Pegasus is a Franchise and as such Pegasus Auckland Airport is a different business to the other Pegasus locations.

W.My wife and I have hired rental cars from Pegasus at both Dunedin and Auckland airports. This year we have used Auckland Airport Pegasus twice and will continue to use them. Online booking is straightforward, prices are very reasonable, and they have been prompt in collecting us and returning us to the terminals. The cars we have had have been clean, in very good condition, reliable and economical. I highly recommend this company for their service and and their vehicles!

J.Great price and a relatively convenient location 4km from Auckland Airport (particularly if you're staying at the Auckland Airport Kiwi Hotel).
Car was a 2005 Nissan Teana - it was a Japanese import so none of the electronics are in English. The price was good, and buying out the excess to minimise it to $250 was reasonably priced. The car was in good condition - a few little paint chips, the fuel cap didn't attach to the car (but screwed in fine), and a broken lever on the front passenger seat were the only minor issues.
The price was much cheaper than other nearby car rentals and the team were really easy to deal with. The car rental includes a $10 Airport Fee which provides you a drop-off to the airport once the car has been returned.
I'd recommend using Pegasus and will likely use them again in the future.
s.I recently returned to NZ for 3 weeks to visits family. I booked online with Pegasus and they were prompt to reply with my quote and made the booking process simple and very inexpensive. They picked me up from my flight within 10 mins so no waiting around. I was very impressed with the level of professionalism shown and helpfulness in getting me on my way. Drop off for me was around 4.00am to catch my flight, easy once again, drop off at Kiwi Motel next door and give keys to reception there. A big yellow bus comes around every 20 mins enroute to the airport, how simple was that. I would recommend Pegasus every day cheap reliable and simple. Thanks guys I definitely will use Pegasus again.

It’s a long story, and without Leigh it would have been a long and disappointing story.
Briefly, booked a car through Turo (app), got an email saying booked and good to go. Leigh emailed about a week or two later saying they had been trying to contact Turo with no luck to tell the they had the wrong price, the wrong vehicle year etc and had Turo contacted me? They had not. Leigh said they would honor the Turo mistake (price) but would an older vehicle be ok as that’s what they had for what I asked for. I accepted with gratitude. One week before I was due to get to BZ and get the car, Leigh emailed and said Turo had canceled the rental, and did I want it still? Again, I was so grateful and yes I definitely did want it. On the same day I received an email from Turo saying the price had changed (Not that they had canceled the rental!!). I arrived and got the car - it was in Excellent condition and exactly what I asked for, did not car about the age as long as it ran well - and it did!!

N.We picked up our car after hours. It was parked at the hotel and all we had to do was get the keys from reception. No mucking around it was great!! The gps was in the glove box. Im on my restricted and they were happy to rent to me. Lovely people and will 100% come back next time. Returning the car was so easy. Just gave them the keys and they checked the car and we were on our way. I was also able to book my car from Australia without any faxing or any hassle. Loved it!!
M.I rented a Nissan Sylphy from Dunedin Airport from 1st to 11th January. Everything went fine, the car was capable and very comfortable and the pick up and drop off went well. All the necessary paperwork was exchanged over the internet. I would be happy to use Pegasus again.

L.My girlfriend and I came to New Zealand from Dallas, TX. we had some confusion with our arrival and landed on the 15th instead of the originally planned 13th. Pegasus was very kind to us and still had our car waiting for us. we received a Nissan Note with unlimited kilometers and drove the car all over the North Island. this trip was life changing and having a reliable vehicle really makes a difference. free shuttle to and from airport.
