J.Our experience with Trekker has been nothing but exceptional from booking, pickup, driving, returns to post trip. The team were responsive and genuine with a real willingness to help us have the best trip possible. My partner and I drove from Auckland to Queenstown in one of their Land Rovers and can honestly say the trip is a highlight of all the trips around the world we have done. We actually booked last minute from Australia and the team had us in a vehicle within a couple of weeks. The car performed perfectly amongst the stunning New Zealand landscape and came with everything we needed. We would just pull up to an amazing place like Mt Cook NP and effortless pop the rooftop tent after a hike. The weather can get cold and windy in places but the tent and car held up without issue. Pickup was quick and effortless and drop off was just as easy. A NZ road trip is a must for everyone and I couldn’t recommend Trekker enough! Check out some of our picture if you’re not convinced...
H.Highly recommend hiring a truck from Trekker. I've been lucky enough to drive around one of Troopy's around the South Island, and had no issues whatsoever. From getting in contact, to booking, to picking up and dropping off, the process was easy and stress free and would 100% book again.
L.We absolutely loved traveling in the Trekker rigs! On the north island we had the pop-top troopy (which was a dream!) and had a defender with roof top tent for the south island. Bill was super communicative with us prior to leaving the US so we felt super comfortable, and was always a text away if we had any questions. Highly recommend.

B.We hired one of Trekker Adventures Defenders back in 2018 and had an Epic road trip around the South Island of New Zealand. If you love camping outdoors their vehicles are perfect, ours had two roof top tents, a Weber BBQ, table & chairs and a chilly bin to keep our food and beers cool.
I’d highly recommend hiring one of their off-road vehicles, they have a great selection to choose from and you can arrange to pick them up from multiple locations throughout NZ.
J.I found trekker via their Instagram postings and used them for a trip of a lifetime touring New Zealand. The team could not be more helpful, friendly and supportive. I rented a defender 90 with the roof tent and camping equipment. This was the perfect setup to experience the breathtaking beauty of New Zealand. I wouldn’t hesitate to repeat the trip and would definitely use these guys again.
M.I can honestly say that this was one of the most enjoyable ways to get around the country. Myself and three others hired the Landrover with two tents ontop. Each morning we work up to ocean views. Splitting that cost between four of us was unbelievably reasonable. The tents took 5 mins to set up and 5 pack down - much easier than a normal tent!
I am not much of a camper so this was the perfect option for me. Didnt need to buy any gear, the tent was very well sized for tall people like us and the car super spacious. We majorly over packed and it fitted everything we needed.
With the gear provided by Trekker in the car, we had everything we needed and more for all 4 of us, the dream set up!
Thank you to Bill who was so flexible with collection and drop off timing and any questions we had.
Would recommend Trekker to anyone wanting to try something a bit different :)
N.Bill and the team at trekker never cease to provide exceptional service whenever members of the roamer crew have taken any of the defenders or land cruisers on a mission. Can't wait for more NZ adventures in one of these awesome 4WD vehicles!

Bill the owner is super friendly and always on hand and ready to help if you somehow run into any issues on the road. These vehicles are his passion and you can rest assured your adventures with a Trekker will be one-of-a-kind, not to mention the photos you get will be sick!!!

the team at Trekker, it was superb! These guys are all adventurers themselves and know where to send you. If I ever make it back, they’ll be my first call!
