We often use this company when visiting Queenstown and we received the same excellent service in Christchurch. All staff members we encountered were super friendly. Pick up and drop off was very prompt. We find the cars super reasonable to hire. Thanks!

Excellent small rental place. Very friendly staff and lovely service, particularly appreciated the prompt pick-up and drop-off to airport. Car was fine and excellent value. Would definitely use this outfit again over the big name, corporate competitors.

Picked up from plane station. Driven to depot, vehicle was on the older side, a tad musty but that soon wore off. However everything worked fine and the drop off was easy at the plane station at Blenheim even if the street address was wrong on the instructions. Price certainly competitive and the reservation was simple.

Fantastic car rental. Great Subaru station wagon for the family. They picked us up from the airport and took and dropped us off in our rental car at the airport (super convenient).

Great company to use. James and crew totally accommodating. Great vehicles, great price. Give them a try.

We were very happy with our rental and especially the personal service given by Cait who was very friendly and who gave us a lift back to our accommodation even though it was just round the corner! Very much appreciated. We will certainly use your service again if we are back in Christchurch.

Booked for the first time with this company. All was good, and the car 4x4 was in good shape. It was clean and spacious, it exceeded our expectations since we booked a mid size 4x4. Pick-up from airport was a short 10min wait after calling them. The car drop of went smooth as well. We would definitely rent a car with them again since the price is very competitive.

I've used this company twice now and would recommend wholeheartedly. I was picked up and dropped off at Christchurch airport promptly both times. I felt they went out of their way to accomodate me. Both times the vehicles were more than satisfactory to my needs. I was given wonderful personal care at all times.

We have used this company several times over last couple of years hiring a small car. Found them very reliable, and apart from a small locking problem ( which was dealt with promptly) we have not had any other problems. Highly recommend this friendly company.

Good experience. Made a phone enquiry after my booking and all sorted prior to car pickup. they came to collect me from airport within 2 minutes of getting outside. Upon arrival at their off airport but closely located office, they checked my DL details etc. against my web site booking and all sorted. Upon return of the vehicle, I explained I didn't have time to fill the tank before returning. No problem was their reply, we can call in and fill up on the way back to the airport. (That saved me a $30 fee). Would happily use these people / company again. All good.

I have hired cars from this company twice now, the most recent being the last two weeks. Everything from going on line and selecting the type of car, to emailing them with questions, dealing with them face to face, has been an absolute delight. They are great value for the money. We had a Nissan Tida and it was presented nice and clean and we had no troubles the entire time we had it. I am a frequent visitor to Christchurch and I would not even consider going anywhere else. Thank you everyone at NZ Rentacar! Your staff are a real credit to your company. Highly recommend.

I am so glad I found James & Victoria at New Zealand Rent A Car and their excellent staff, Emma and the others I have meet on the many occasions. I visit Christchurch sometimes 3 times a year, to check on my parents and always use this business. Nothing but praise for the way I get looked after. I estimate I have had 15 cars from N.Z. Rent a Car. Prompt Pick up, smiling faces, Air Park arranged for midnight flight arrivals sometimes. I always get dropped back to the Airport for Departure. The staff were very friendly and professional. They answered all my queries and, as an International booking, made the online booking process very easy. The vehicle was mechanically sound and served the purpose of transporting a team of 12 players very easy.

Excellent service on collection of vehicle. No problem with vehicle at all. On drop off, no body at office. Rang all phone numbers but no answer.

The car was the cheapest and it was really nice. We rented it for almost three weeks and we never had a problem. The car didn't use a lot of petrol so that was really economic as well. Also, the staff is really nice.

Rented a "cheap and cheerful" cat for about 2 weeks and it was ordered. A lot nicer than we were expecting. Also rented a 2 person camping package. Very clean and convenient and a fantastic price. I'd definitely rent from them again
