T.Matt absolutely saved my life! Other car rentals wouldn't rent to me due to not having my name embossed on my card (even though my bank account reflects that it's my card). Was stuck at Christchurch airport with no form of transport and no where to go as it's too early for check in at the motel. Matthew absolutely went above and beyond to help me out! At the very last minute he came and picked me up from the airport, got me back to the office and had me in a car all in the span of 30 minutes from me calling to see what they could do! Absolutely have a loyal customer from me, and the cheapest rates out of 6 other car rentals I looked at! Really great quality cars, absolutely amazing service and the absolute best rates around! Definitely my go to car hire company :)

The process at the office to complete paper work went smoothly. The booster seats for the grandkids were in the car. All was as we had booked. Getting the car back was also smooth, while seeing other people falling in line and waiting for the offices of other car hire company open to return their car RAD car employees are already busy attending to their customers.
S.We've hired 2 cars from Rad and have been impressed with them both times. The staff is kind, helpful and very quick to respond even after we had to make a few changes to our second rental. We rented a small car (a Nissan March) for driving around town and it was perfect for 2 people, a suitcase and a cooler. Then we rented a Nissan X-trail to drive through the mountains in and LOVED that car. It was clean, in perfect working condition and had tons of space. The prices are great and again, the staff is wonderful. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

C.A great cheap car rental. Shuttle was efficient, staff were great and the whole pick up and drop off process only took minutes with no hidden costs. Such a pleasant change from the way the big companies do business. Car was older, which was reflected in the price.

Thanking staff is really important but making sure the owner is aware that we appreciate his team, his vehicles and collective service is important. A great team and would recommend them 100%.

R.Would definitely recommend these guys. The enquiry and booking process was seamless - the team were patient, thorough and informative throughout. I don't think I ever went through to voicemail during the standard working hours, which is a massive bonus when you need to get some information quickly.
The car was exactly what we wanted and had paid for, the pick up and drop off was faultless and we were greeted with friendly voices and smiles throughout.
Will only ever use this company when hiring a vehicle in this part of the world
H.The request for a rental car was at short notice (2 days) and only a 24hr period, many more expensive hire firms were not interested, unable to accommodate us or price was prohibitive. RaD staff treatment of us (from booking to final drop off) was without fault, were very friendly, informative and punctual. RaD rental price in many cases was less than half that of competitors, and I kind of expected a bit of clanger, to my surprise, the car was a recent import well presented, and it was hard to tell it was used without close inspection and check of the trip meter. I would highly recommend RaD Hire, and will now be my first choice when ever I need their service again. Great going RaD Hire.

P.A nice, trouble free experience - something that doesn't always happen with rental car companies, especially over Christmas is such a busy time in the industry.
I was a late-ish order for a low end car. RaD might have all sorts of great cars and 4WDs, but I wanted big and cheap, and that was what I got. And although it had over 200k on the odo, it went well, and felt safe (although I'm never a fan of rental cars with chipped windscreens).
Airport pickup and delivery was prompt. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy (perhaps because they were busy?) but it did feel like a good customer experience, even if I wasn't quite sure about what to do if there were breakdowns etc. They did take a moment to point out a few small things (petrol, boot release, seat adjustment etc) which aren't essential, but are helpful.
In general I think dealing with rental car companies is as enjoyable as buying life insurance - but I didn't feel like that with RaD. I'll be using them again.
J.Great rental company, the staff are all super friendly and do all they can to help. Very fast service whether in person, via phone or email. Good range of vehicles of all types and price ranges. Why anyone would rather pay twice as much to one of the big international companies for half the service I have no idea.

We found RaD personnel terrific to deal with, it was easy to get an actual person on the phone and their pricing was very good. No hidden costs and a fantastic service to boot! (1 year ago)Met at the airport by a nice chap who made the process effortless! The vehicle was ready and being warmed up (it was 3 degrees at the time). He asked relevant questions about my knowledge of the vehicle and explained how different things worked, then we were off - with no pesky paperwork)
Had a great 5 days in the mountains so it came back pretty dirty - no problem. The lovely lady driving the airport shuttle saw us coming down the drive and turned around to pick us up. Great service, great pricing, and we'll be back! Brent

R.I am a regular customer with RAD and have hired RAD vehicles either from Christchurch or Dunedin Airport. Online booking is simple and response for availability usually on the day or the next day. Vehicles are meticulously clean, and always reliable. I like the fact there is a descriptor of vehicle state eg condition of vehicle, I still do a walk round and take photos. The airport pick up at Chch is prompt once you let RAD know that you ready to be picked up. Staff always friendly with a ☺. At Dunedin airport you have a short outside walk to pick up your vehicle. Excellent service with no hassle.

D.From the initial booking where we received a far better price than all other companies & a 2015 model car! Upon arriving at the site the staff were very friendly & nothing was a problem . Unfortunately I didn't get the staff names but the gentleman was great & also offered to store my bicycle while I continued travelling in the car. On our return everything was sorted fast & efficiently..........they made it so easy. The young lady who dropped us off at the airport was very helpful & sourced a baggage trolley & gave great directions. What an awesome team of people. We highly recommend this Rent A Dent location. P.I was delighted with the fast and friendly communication, excellent service and clean vehicle. Originally I booked a vehicle based on an oversize item I needed to collect but it wouldn't fit. They provided a different vehicle with no extra charge and helped me with my luggage.
N.RAD Chch exceeded our expectation. The pick up process was super quick, the team members we encounterd both pick up and drop off were great! Our vehicle was exactly as ordered (2019 model) After spending a bit of time looking at other car rental websites and applying discount codes, RAD's prices still came in the cheapest. We'll use RAD Chch again and recommend you try them too.

S.Car rental is cheaper than most, but you pay for what you get. I paid the cheapest rate and got a Swift, which was ok for driving around town plus the check-in and out process is very quick. Big thanks to the shuttle driver who tried getting me to the airport on time. Unfortunately I missed it by 2 mins, but your effort didn't go unnoticed
