We chose Hardy Cars because of the gushing reviews, and now we understand why. Mason was always on the ball, and never minded questions, and nothing was a problem. The wee hybrid easily swallowed our one big suitcase and two smaller ones, plus a couple of carry-on backpacks, all in the boot. And was fun to try out. For customer service, I'd give Hardy Cars 10/10.

Great vehicle at an excellent price - was worried I was not going to find a manual anywhere, but Hardy Cars came through with a peppy, but super economical Mazda Demio 5-speed. Pick-up was super quick, and drop off was pretty seamless as well. Thoroughly recommend.

We rented a Toyota wish in January from hardy cars and It was a very good experience. The car was kept ready on a clean state for us at the airport for pickup and it was in good condition . Returning the car was also hassle free and they dropped us to the airport also !! Would recommend to everyone.

Mason at Hardy Cars was amazing to deal with. We have rented a car for two days at a very, very short notice. The price was excellent and there were no hidden costs like you see with mainstream car hire companies. The price we agreed was the price we paid. We were picked up at the airport, formalities took 2 minutes and off we went on a relaxing trip. The car was in top condition, well serviced, clean, all working as should. I have checked most car rental companies in the area and Hardy Cars is by far the best, local company with a good, relaxed, Kiwi attitude! Highly recommended.

The experience we had with Mason at Hardy Cars was faultless. He picked us up from the airport as soon as we called and had our bags. He drove us back to the car yard where the check in only took a few minutes. We got a budget car, didn't know what to expect, but got a great little Mazda 2/demio. It drove well with no issues for the 7 days. Return was also a breeze. All businesses should be like this, incredible! We will definitely use Mason again when we come back. Such a genuine, likeable guy. Thanks heaps!!

I booked a car with Hardy Cars at the end of September this year for four days. Service: Mason understands what his customers need and ensured the entire trip was seamless. From pickup and drop off at the airport to even trading out the car we rented for something a bit more powerful when we told him we were going up into the mountains. Spot on! Value for money: Daily rate for the car was extremely reasonable and honestly can't be beaten by the bigger rental businesses out there. And he is has a very straightforward insurance process. We were able to pay a reasonable amount extra to ensure we had 0 excess over the four days. All in all, I was very impressed and would use Hardy Cars again in a heartbeat. We rented a car for 5 days for our stay in Nelson. From the very start Mason was extremely helpful and very easy to deal with. As well as a very competitive price. Mason picked us up from the airport and dropped us off on our return trip. The car was very clean and economic - Nissan Tida. It is great to be able to support a local business that provided great service and value. Would definitely recommend.

Used Hardy Cars a couple of times while exploring around Nelson. Mason is super friendly and helpful. Price is very reasonable and Mason is flexible for us to extend the rental. The free dropoff and pickup from airport is very handy too! Would definitely use again when I'm in the area. Highly recomended!

Doing business with Mason is dead easy. Everything was ready and waiting for us on arrival at Nelson Airport as expected. We rented a wagon with a 4 bike rack that fitted on the tow hitch - worked well, no dramas. There is no reason to shop around - value for money and excellent customer service. Thanks for helping to make our cycling holiday in Nelson a great success.

I booked a car from Mason to do some mountain biking in the Nelson/Buller area. Mason gave my mates and I lifts to/from the airport and looked after our bike bags while we were away on our trip. He provided us a hire car with a bike rack and bungees to transport the bikes. Mason is really genuine and friendly, and I'd happily get another hire car from him if I'm back in the area.
