M.Got the car i ordered for a decent price, staff were friendly. The excess charge is huge, and the insurance to protect against that just a money making scam (in fairness all hire car companies do it), just do what i did - if worried about excess and you want to insure against it, use another company, just google it - plenty of companies offering decent value excess insurance.
J.I have nothing but good things to say about Hertz NZ. We were very well looked after at Auckland airport on arrival all the way through to our departure from Christchurch 5 weeks later. I would particularly like to thank the gentleman at the Nelson airport depo that spent the time helping me with the snow chains that were so different to the ones that I had previously used.
