Hired in late May 2021. Good communication from RaD, with clear and concise email correspondence.
Collected after hours at Nelson airport which was smooth, and something that a lot of other companies didn't offer.
The vehicle was spotless with very low KM's. I found it very economical for the short, city-only driving I was doing.
Next time I'm in town I'll be using RaD again.

Derek met us at the airport pickup point and we were driving off in our as new car (2000km on the clock) in less than five minutes. Drop off was even easier with a return to the Airport car park.

S.I needed a large van to move household goods from Wellington to Nelson. RaD had the perfect vehicle at a great fixed price with superb service. Booking was easy (including giving me the reg plate details so that I could complete my ferry booking); pickup from their depot by Nelson airport seamless; the vehicle was spotless and drove really well even when fully loaded; and drop off on return equally seamless. Great service, great vehicle and I would highly recommend them.
B.The car was excellent. Fairly new and perfect for what we needed. The car is not kept on site so you need to phone to get picked up. That is fine but it would have been a nice customer service touch if the person had offered to put our large bags into their van. However, the rest of the process was easy.

K.We were very pleased with the hire car we received and the condition it was given to us, very clean and tidy, the instructions to find the place to pickup the shuttle to take us to pickup the car were very clear to find and the same for returning the vehicle. The reason I gave only 4 stars was the omission on someone's part to return our early morning phone call regarding returning the vehicle later than our arranged time. Our flight had been delayed and we wanted to bring the car back another half hour later. We made sure we rang on the cellphone number given to get a quick call back, but no one rang us back so we had to go with returning the car at the original time, we feel this was abit poor not to respond. Otherwise the hire was perfect and would recommend the company and also use them again.

M.We had a party of 4 people, 2x suitcase, plus 4 hand luggage bags these fitted nicely into the Hyundai Tucson. Arranged pickup from the depot which is about 4 to 5 min walk from the Nelson Airport. This will save you $30.00+ as pickup from the airport is more expensive due to car parking charges.

H.An awesome company to deal with. Hired a car for 16 days from Nelson with a return drop to Picton. Booking was easy and way cheaper than than other the branded competition. I was worried that I was not getting something because it was nearly $1000 less in rental cost for the duration. On arrival I got an almost brand new car (premium range) which was of a way higher standard than I expected. The car was immaculate and a terrific vehicle to drive. All my communication before the hire was excellent and everything as delivered as told. Pick up and drop off was super easy considering I was out of hours for both. I will definitely hire again from RaD Nelson. They exceeded my expectations.

P.The car was great, clean and modern - but the service is questionable, they are NOT IN the airport, it's a walk to another building to find the rep and then a bus ride ... and then somehow they charge you a $30 airport fee for the inconvenience !
Also without notice they charged my CC an extra $30 just to top up an extra $13 worth of fuel. Look out for all the little added extras.

It was immaculate, came with a full tank of petrol and helpful tourist info and maps in the glove box. Email contact was sufficient to keep in touch and my partner who was the initial driver but not the person who booked the car had no problems picking it up. Would highly recommend and use again if needing a vehicle in NZ.

l.Staff were friendly and easy to deal with. The Honda Jazz was nearly new and being bright yellow was easy to find in car parks (there are not a lot of yellow cars in New Zealand) as well as being delightful to drive. Suited our needs perfectly. If we are ever back in NZ we will definitely use them again.

L.Having not heard of RAD before I was really curious on what service would be like. But I have to say, RAD nelson had me really impressed. The collection process was quick and efficient. The 8 seater Hyundai IMax itself was perfect for me and the family. Spotlessly clean and had only about 1.5k miles on it and was essentially brand new. I’d definitely recommend RAD and would use them again in future myself. Well done RAD crew!

T.On our last trip to New Zealand we rented a small car from RaD Nelson. It was exactly as advertised, and worked perfectly for the 5 weeks that we had it. Derek was easy to deal with. This is the fifth time that we have hired a car from RaD Nelson, and it will not be the last.
L.Fantastic Service. Rent a Dent Nelson was so accommodating and flexible. Especially given the fact that due to flight delays we had to change the date and time of our pick up. It was the easiest pick up and drop off I have ever had with a rental. Fully recommend and will use again in the future.

L.We hired a van to transport our bikes on a tour. The van was exactly what we needed, it was a cargo van and luckily we were able to leave it at Picton for a fee. We hope that this is an option again in the future, apparently the website wasn’t supposed to allow this for cargo vans. It was perfect for us and would be for others in a similar scenarios.
