Second time I've hired through Rite Price, it is so good, no queues at the rental hire counter. Walk straight off the plane and out to the carpark where your car is waiting with you name and lockbox for keys. Sooo easy online booking.

Late night arrival in Tauranga but super easy system in place to pick up my car after hours. The car was spotless inside and well maintained (other than some shoddy windshield wipers). Dropping off was equally smooth. Recommended and will use them again.

I recently hired the bigger canopy truck with the rear tail gate hoist. I moved my house lot furniture from North Auckland back to Hamilton. The truck ran effortlessly even when fully loaded. The company supplied ty-downs, heavy packing blankets, Very economical hire-age and kilometre costing

Recently arrived to Tauranga on a cruise ship with car rental arranged several weeks prior. On the day of our arrival, my wife was very ill and we were unable to pick up the rental car. Pixie was a pleasure to deal with, having to cancel the rental car at the time I was supposed to pick it up, I thought that I would lose the daily charge. I was very surprised to find that I had been fully refunded. I would highly recommend this company as other people I spoke to who used this company found the vehicles were clean and very well priced. Sweet as service! Just one little bit of criticism, nothing major, the fee for toll road was prepaid off the bond and that wasn't communicated so I ended up paying twice for the toll road by also paying on the NZTA toll website . Not the end of the world but could have been avoided. Other than that, no issues whatsoever, clean car and no nonsense service. Happy days!

We rented this vehicle at the satellite site by the cruise ship port. It was an easy walk. We were met promptly by a driver who then took us just a short jaunt to the site to puck up our car. It was smooth, easy and the car was clean and in good repair. We would definitely use this company again when renting off the cruise ship. A good price as well!

Had to rent a mini truck to move all my furniture- truck was in good condition and they've thought of all the extras you'll need like trolleys, straps or blankets if you need them. Really helpful knowledgeable staff that can make a house move as smooth as possible. Get in quick though as the yard can be full of rentals one day, then empty the next.

I needed a moving truck last minute (4 days notice) and Rite Price had trucks available at reasonable prices. The truck I ended up hiring was available earlier than expected and in picking it up, the process was easy and hassle-free. I would have rated it 5 stars, however the truck looked like it had, had a hard life. It didn't affect the overall functionality of the vehicle though.

Highly recommended! Very friendly & super efficient people running this business. It is so refreshing to find such good customer service. They accommodate any changes without any fuss, nothing appears to be a problem. At one time they even rang me in Australia to confirm my booking, followed of course by the usual email notification. Their cars are clean, modern & so much cheaper than many of their rivals. Since my daughter discovered them, our family only ever use Rite Price Car Rentals Tauranga now. I can't imagine anyone being at all dissatisfied, unless of course, all their vehicles have been hired out!

We had a great little car for a good price! Literally walked out the airport door and it was parked right there - amazing! Lockbox system worked well and the car was easy to drive and park. We found Rite Price at the pier for a last minute rental coming off the cruise ship in Tauranga NZ. Shuttle bus to the rental car facility was efficient. There, we found a friendly staff, clean cars and a more than reasonable rental price. Seven of us traveling together rented a minivan to take us to Rotorua. Tauranga was one of the ports on our cruise. We chose Rite Price based on ratings and price, and we are so glad we did. We were quite late in returning the car in time for boarding the ship, but Rite Price stayed open later than usual and had checked on our location based on toll road passage. They were at the ready with the shuttle when we arrived, with only about 15 minutes to spare, and you could tell that they were in constant communication. Very well-run car rental. Also, they tell you which gas station to use - use it, because it's an attended station where you can pay inside.

I rented a car from Rite Price when visiting the Mount, on holiday from the UK. I dealt with Nick, a very friendly and helpful guy. I had to extend the rental and change the vehicle return point from their offices to Tauranga Airport. Nick had no problem with this and was incredibly pleasant to deal with. I would totally recommend this company and would certainly use them again if I return to the Mount.

I rented a car from Rite Price in Tauranga, I was on a cruise and wanted to drive down to Roturua ourselves. They have a shuttle that meets you not far from where you get off the ship, which takes you to thier office. When we got there everything was already set to go for us. Got our key and was on our way. They let you drop off afterhours if you want but they close at 6 pm. We got back after 6 pm but the Manager was still there, he was closing up so he even let us hop in his car and he dropped us off at the ship terminal since it was on his way home. Everyone there was exceptionally nice, had no problem with the car, ran qreat and would rent there if ever in the area. If you are ever in Tauranga rent from them you will be very happy you did.

What a great company to deal with. Even though they are probably the largest rental car company in the Bay of Plenty, their staff have remained well grounded and give excellent customer service. We hired a SUV when our cruise ship was in Tauranga and the whole experience was absolutely fantastic. Making the booking with Cherie on their toll free number before we left Australia was so easy and she exlained what we could do to ensure an easy transition when we arrived. Everything was confirmed in an email and explained how we could precomplete our details so we only needed to present our drivers licence when we arrived. There was a shuttle bus waiting at the dock to transport us the short distance to collect the car and within 5 min we were on our way. Couldn't have been easier. The car was emmaculate, modern and easy to drive. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. My first time in Tauranga, Mount Maunganui area. I booked a car for a few days from Rite Price Rentals. They went out of their way to help in every way. I was pleasantly surprised; they do understand the concept of "Service" I asked to pick up the car at Tauranga Airport, seemed to me to be a known spot though already I had arrived 2 days earlier and was staying at Mount Maunganui. They requested by mail my flight number, so they could speed things up. Then learned that their depot was close to my accommodation, so they saved me the trip to the airport. The day before returning the car, I asked by mail if it could be a couple of hours later, no problem and at no extra cost. They drove me back to my hotel. Later I could not find my reading glasses and I emailed them in case they were left in the car. Response came immediately, they found in the glove box and delivered them to my hotel a couple of hours later. It is the most efficient and friendly car rental service I have ever come across.

This was a great find. We arrived into the Port of Tauranga via a cruise ship and they were very close by. We made our reservations online and our car was pre-assigned to us and ready when we arrived. We went all the way out to the Glo Worm caves at Waitomo and back so we were very excited to see that the shuttle back to the ship was still there at the car return as we cut it pretty close returning before the ship sailed. They had waited for us (and a few others) at least 45 min. after the shuttle was supposed to stop running. It would have been a rushed run back to the ship had they not been there.
