T.Couldn't speak more highly of a small business. Sue was amazing to deal throughout the whole process. They could charge higher prices but they don't rip people off during peak season because they are genuine, great kiwi folk. If I could rate them a 10, I would, as they made it super easy on us and our two young kids. Thanks Sue, we will never use anyone else. Tom

J.Sue was incredibly good to work with. The whole experience was hassle free despite several modifications to our itinerary on our end. We rented a car for a month and Wanaka and then ended up keeping it a few months more and driving all over the South island. When COVID-19 struck they worked with us to find an arrangement that worked. Would highly recommend.
D.Sue and Wanaka Rentacar saved us a lot of trouble by having a van handy for us (and great business hours for a New Zealand business) when our own car broke down with a part failure in Lake Hawea. I called Sue, she communicated clearly, patiently, and with genuine customer service, and we had a sturdy Nissan van with a very fair price and clear terms for five plus days. Their best deals seem to be built around 5 day rentals or longer. I caught a cab to Wanaka from Lake Hawea and our troubles were over thanks to Sue. Honestly, I enjoyed renting a car in an emergency situation from Wanaka Rentacar. Right? Just call them!
S.I had a great experience renting from here. Really simple process with a simple contract, and felt the rental deal had alot of value for what I got. Including the unlimited milage, where others tend to place caps which are expensive to exceed. I did some damage to a hub, totally my fault, and they didn't charge extra. Which was really surprising due to past experiences with other rental outfits.

Y.GREAT rental. Rented a 4WD for one day to go to Rob Roy glacier. Great service. Lovely warm people. Much better than any of the big companies. Forgot my camera in the car. They found it, and sent by overnight courier service to our camp site - free of charge.
S.Very nice place to rent your car. The lady that was on service that day helped me big time to see what option would be the best for me to rent a car for a few days, also considering the kilometres I was going to make. There were no small cars available, accept one that wasn't cleaned jet. She emediately started to clean it so I could take it. And when there was no cigaret-usb charger in the car she lend me her own! Great service, lovely helpful people, good cars. Definately reccomand them!
K.Sue and Bruce run this independent car rental and are exceptionally friendly and helpful No cost for extra driver, very affordable insurance. Try to reserve early as they sell out!
