Used Welly Airport branch a half dozen times now. Always uber fast and efficient. Never any delays with airport transfers. Great service. Weirdly wouldn't allow me to pay with business credit card for security reasons, despite wearing work uniform and all my luggage with work labels. I still give them 5 stars though for speed and efficiency. Keep up the awesome work.

I rented a Toyota Corolla Hatchback for just 1 night, 28 hrs to be precise and that cost me $90ish including insurance.....my previous experience with Apex was good, but this one although the the car was good, the price hurt...

Apex car rentals Wellington airport were amazing. We travelled in July 2020 and we almost didn't go with them because of the reviews but I'm glad I did because they were really good. Excellent price, friendly customer service, shuttle to and from airport, great car (2018/9 Rav 4). Highly recommended.

I have had a number of mixed experiences with rental car companies in the past and have a tried a few when I have been travelling for business. I thought I would give Apex a go as the rates were pretty good and they are close to the airport. I booked by phone with Grant who was friendly and helpful and gave me a good deal during the week I was in town. As I decided to stay on for the weekend (which I paid for after the work hire ran out) he gave me the same good rate . The car was clean and reasonably new which was great, the staff picked me up from the Airport though I could have probably walked but it was nice not having to drag the bags around. When I got there the staff got me going pretty quick and even gave me some tips of where to go in my weekend off. Thanks Apex. I will be using you again next time I am in town.

Great company. Upgraded car and when we missed our flight connection due to 2 hour traffic delay enabled us to get home by taking the car on the ferry and on to Christchurch. Thanks

Fantastic team! Every person we dealt with were awesome. From the collection at the airport through to the drop off at the airport, we won't use anyone else for car rentals! The car was very clean and economical. Very well priced. -Thank you!

Great service from start to finish. We rang from the airport and the pickup van was there very promptly. Sunny made the checkin very fast and easy and we were on our way. When we returned it was the same. Sunny and Lauren dealt with us quickly and efficiently and we were whisked off to the airport, very pleased that we chose Apex. We will definitely choose Apex again next time we want a rental car.

We hired a RAV4 from the wellington airport branch. The guys there were so pleasant and efficient! We were picked up within 2 minutes of calling them when we arrived at the Welly airport and dropped off back to the airport promptly when returning. Would also like to add that we’ve found the service amazing at each and every apex branch we’ve been to (Sydney, Cairns, Gold Coast & wellington). And to top it off the rates are very reasonable!

Smooth car hire experience. Improvement needed for directions to the pick up point. Transit person was most helpful. Have used this service at other places and will continue.

I booked direct from the website and was very happy with the rental fee which included insurance. Car was new and had no issues with it. Best thing was the very friendly and professional customer service when we picked up the car and on return. Definitely recommend Apex and I'll be using them again on my next trip to Wellington.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Adding an extra driver half way through our hire was a very straight forward process. A pleasure to do business with.

Quick, easy. They point out (on the day you pick up the car) your cover has a $2000 excess and for an extra twenty-something dollars a day that can be waived. In my case doubled the fee I was charged which I wasn't particularly happy about but still didn't want to risk anything happening. I'll be looking around for a more transparent deal next time

I booked a vehicle online through Apex. We travelled from whangarei to wellington for a family gathering, i had printed off instructions online on what to do when we landed. Out of coincidence the shuttle was picking up other people so my husband approached the driver who greeted us with a warm welcome his name was DAVE. He drove us efficiently back to the rental depot so we could be on our way, he gave us some clear and brief instructions about the directions to take to get out of the airport domain. The paper work was done quick smart which was great. No drama, car was clean and ran well as expected. Upon our return Dave wasted no time in returning us to the airport so we could be on our way home. Great service Thanks Apex & Dave!

Didnt rent but was designated driver for our stay in Wellington. Blimmen awesome customer service and looked after us thank you very much vehicle was great and nice to drive.

We rented a low end Nissan Tiida over the Christmas break. Pickup from the airport went smoothly. Car pickup at the depot was very efficient considering how busy they were. Every one of the staff was super-busy but also super-friendly. Our problems started when driving out on the motorway north. The car handled oddly. Wouldn't track properly at speed. When we got to our destination in Lower Hutt and after dropping our bags off, I popped to a service station to check on the tire pressures. Right rear looked very soft and sure enough it most definitely was. Down to 9 psi! Other tires ranged between 27 and 34. Possibly should have been all around 34 given the size of the tires (195). I pumped them all to 34. I tried to contact Apex but could not raise anyone. I presume they were all very, very busy still. Went & checked the tire pressures again the next day and the right rear was down to 25 psi from the previous days 34 psi. I rang Apex and this time got someone. They suggested swapping the vehicle. Unfortunately this meant driving all the way across town to the airport depot from Lower Hutt. A journey of 24km one way (round trip of approx 50km). After some faffing around at the depot (very busy once again). We had a right rear on the car that would keep it's pressure. There was no recompense for our wasted time or for the additional fuel and we had used. I don't think our case was handled very well. Not sure why tire pressures are not a basic item that is checked before a vehicle is released. Drop off on departure day however was a breeze. Very quick & efficient again. Overall great staff, very efficient transfers and pickup/dropoffs but seems like when they are very busy some things that should be standard checklist items get dropped.

We dropped off a van in Wellington we hired from Apex and it was the best experience for service. After drop off we were taken to the airport in less then 5 mins so no concern about missing flight. We had also left a mobile in the car and thought it was lost for good but they had immediately contacted us and returned the mobile before our flight. So thanks Chantel and the staff at Apex Wellington you really helped us out.

I have used Apex over the last 3 years. I have found them to be professional providing a good old fashioned honest straight up service. I work overseas with my business ramjoconsulting and return to Wellington regularly hiring cars in the North and South Island. They always accommodate my needs around pick up and drop off times. The Apex team in Picton and Nelson are also great to deal with. Keep it real, Good one.

We were very pleased with Apex and can highly recommend! Due to a late ferry, we returned our car after hours and found the manager still on duty and happy to help! Very pleasant experience!
