J.Car itself was good. The day before I was to pick up the vehicle I received a call from owner to say she couldn’t get my credit card charged. I explained that she wouldn’t be able to as I had it turned off on my phone. I didn’t realize she would want to charge it the day before. I assumed we would do that when we picked it up. She then tried her utmost to convince me that it must be a debit card and not a credit card even asking me if it had debit written on it. She would not listen to what I was saying and I had to get quite angry to convince her to wait for 5minutes for me to turn it on and then try again. I felt like she was treating me like an idiot. Not a great start. I have had this card for 3yrs and it has the facility so that if it goes missing I can immediately turn it off and also limit the amount it can be used for.When we picked up the car the fuel gauge was not showing full. It was nearly down to 3/4. We drove from the airport to my daughters place in Kamo then back to town and it was on 3/4. Sent An email to owner but so far have not heard back. Don’t feel inclined to use them again.
C.Excellent service, Sharon was so very kind and extremely helpful and its was a great price given my circumstances. I highly recommend RAD for anyone requiring car hire here or nationwide.

z.Hired a car 30th July great personal service staff picked me up at my motel as it was a long way to the pickup point and offered to drop us at the town basin to catch our bus.
Awesome service.
s.We rented a Nissan March for two weeks intending to see North island and South island. The fare was very reasonably priced and we loved the car, equipped with automatic gearbox.
Unfortunately the car broke down at Picton, and soon it was stated that the engine needed a minor replacement of spares.
Unfortunately there was no replacement car available, so we decided to abort the travel and return to Whangarei by bus, mostly because of the uncertanty of when the repair could be carried out.
Today we met Sharon and Colin at the office who, despite the inconvenience, treated us as customers very respectfully and well.
Today the car was repaired and is now ready to go again....
We can recommend Whangarai Rent-a-Dent if you are in search of a good budget car hire deal.

A.Awesome people, excellent service and flexible.
H.I rented a car here to drive to Tutukaka to dive the Poor Knights Islands as prices were reasonable. The friendly owner even offered me a free drop off at the i-SITE so I could catch my bus.
I.We have rented cars from Colin on three occasions while we have been working on our boat. The cars and price were good, and Colin is very easy and pleasant to deal with.
