M. K.Went for lunch just after opening, we were the first customers of the day. Service was fast and courteous. We chose a big plate with 8 pork ribs and a Lone Star salad of the day, which was enough for 2 adults and 3 young kids. The meat was very tender, juicy and deliciously prepared. Price is reasonably expected with this level of venue and service provided. Worth coming!
S. C.Came here for a birthday dinner, been to lone star a few times in the past, I had the hob, we had steak and three kids meals. Average I would say, they always put too much coleslaw in the plate, which takes up a third of the plate. There was a lot of fat in the steak and was quite tough. The pork was okay. It’s very expensive for what it is, and think you can get a much better quality meal elsewhere. Lone star is quite dated now, like most ‘themed’ restaurants.
M. C.Wow this is my favourite Lone Star, friendly service and the drinks and food came fast, all was fresh and so tasty as always. Lasso of hog for me as always and starved myself for the day so I could have the super tender ribs for starter. The wife always has Praw. Star for a main. I couple cocktails for the wife and as sober driver I sampled some amazing mocktails. Thanks for your great food and smiles

Again enjoyed the best most reliable meal.. cannot agree with lower scores who say its outdated this place is classic which never goes out of style and the coleslaw is a highlight for me.. we went this time for our anniversary and keep coming back year after year, and multiple branches, 4 in total around the country.. Christchurch before the quake.. Tauranga, Taupo and Hamilton.. for private functions or dates, we know we can trust the staff to deliver a superb meal and atmosphere thats a lil special n reminiscent n rustic.. We LOVE IT!
T. M.Lovely meal. Decent size. Dessert was yum.. Service was on point. The only thing wrong, was it was so hot, the air conditioning was not going. We sat at near back.
R.I think it's a good place but as I'm a vegetarian for me, I didn't find too many options so I'll give my honest opinion on what I heard from my friends who usually done there and who came with me. They loved their food and found the portion to be quite generous. The wait time was slightly long but we didn't mind as we were all talking. They have a good drink menu too and the ambience is pretty alright. I loved how big my burger was.

T. N.A random stop over on our way back to Auckland, a little bit of a wait but maybe cause it was a busy Saturday evening.
The service was excellent, attentive and polite ( love it when they do table checks).
We ordered the burrito, lamb shanks and the smallest portion of the ribs, they have a good selection of kids menu with free desert.
The food is probably what you would expect from the Lone Star chain.
P. K.There was nothing noteworthy about my visit, everything was ordinary. Sometimes that's fine, others it is not.
P. B.Brooke was very nice and helpful. I was a single diner and was stuck behind a small wall next to where all the staff were. I got my order very fast and I got a blue steak which was beautiful bar the big price of fat . Thanks
