Blue carrot have just catered for our wedding, where we had canapés and handheld food. Their service was outstanding .. we couldn’t fault them. Not only did they provide delicious piping hot food but they took over the organisation for us , the hireage of tables and glasses, how much drink to buy, the setting up , the serving of supper … and the staff were most professional and friendly. All in all meant a stress free wedding for us, and a perfect day. Thank you so much BCC!

I would give Blue Carrot 15 stars if I could! I recently attended a function which Blue Carrot catered for, when I registered for the event I had to specify any dietary requirements I had. I am a type 1 diabetic and have been since I was three years old. For 20 years I have been avoiding sugars in my food. Recently my endocrinology specialist suggested I try a low carbohydrate, no egg, meat or dairy way of eating for even better blood sugar control. So as you can imagine, I was a tricky customer for Blue Carrot to cater for! Blue Carrot pulled through with an amazing meal consisting of a roast vegetable medley with dressing, a delicious tofu coleslaw salad, vegetable sticks with cherry tomatoes and dip, and a delicious mix of seeds and nuts. I was absolutely amazed with the care and regard for my dietary restrictions they put into my meal, and it tasted so good too! I would highly recommend this company to anyone that needs a great catering team. These guys are the best!

We hired Blue Carrot for our wedding in the Botanic Gardens in January. The food was amazing and we are still getting compliments for it! They do so much more than just catering though - they did an amazing set up and pack down job at our dry hire venue. Their staff were fantastic at making things happen, having smiles on their faces, making sure the people with dietary needs were looked after. We could not have done the day without them.

Attended Wellington Cup races and Blue Carrot were catering our lawn. My sister booked the tickets but forgot to include my dietary requirement (egg intolerance), the staff were amazing and organized egg free food that was delicious even though it was our stuff up. The service was lovely and friendly throughout the day and quality of the food was fantastic.

I used blue carrot catering for my March 2021 wedding, This was in the midst of Covid and a few disasters - but our catering was the one thing i didn't have to worry about the entire day! The email staff were friendly and responsive and helped me create my plan within my budget, and the chef and waiters were the most loveliest professionals who took care of everything, even keeping away my sangria until i was back from photos to enjoy it! I have heard nothing but good stuff about the food and waiters from my guests. Absolutely would recommend and use again!

We chose Blue Carrot for our wedding. We cannot recommend them enough. The chefs and managers were really accomodating. They even altered the menu a bit to accomodate our preference, and gave us lots of options to manage dietary requirements for our guests. The food had great presentation, came on time, was delicious, in generous portions, and the overall costs were reasonable as well. They also gave us lots of ideas to manage drinks, cakes, etc. We had absolutely no concerns during the ceremony. They made sure everything went real smooth, and they even helped us find the garden lights, and tidy up the venue before guests arrive (as we didn’t receive it in the tidiest condition contrary to what was promised). We also had lots of food leftover which was all given to us, and we gave them to family and friends. We were really happy with our choice, and would choose it again without doubt for any other occasions.

Fabulous service! The catering for my canapé and bubbly birthday celebration was seamless. The food arrived on white platters ready to go, apart from those needing heating, and they were collected later. The canapé were delicious - great variety of tasty morsels. Thank you.

We used Blue Carrot for our wedding catering this Feb. They were FANTASTIC. The food was really great, and although my husband and I didn't get to try so much of it as we were to busy running around the guests all made sure to tell us how incredible it was. But I do have to say.....the staff were AMAZING. The weather didn't always play nicely with us, the staff (led by Finn) were forward thinking, helpful and cheerful despite getting soaking wet! Thanks to all of Blue Carrot for making our wedding so great, we couldn't have wished for better!

We chose Blue Carrot because at our first conversation they talked us through the wedding schedule and a weight lifted off our shoulders as they were professional, organised, with an attention to detail, and yet their food had a creative edge. And we were not disappointed as the chefs and waitresses worked hard and professionally, to deliver fabulous food and service and left the place clean and tidy. Many people asked us who the caterers were as they would also like to use them in the future. What better reference is that! Lunch at a business meeting, this will be boring, a few stale sandwiches and maybe a dried-out savory ..... Wrong! At a recent meeting in the City catered by Blue Carrot, there was an interesting and flavourful range of hot and cold food, some healthy options, and a generous and well-prepared range of fruit to go with the sweet items and coffee. This is not the first time I have been to this venue and had a Blue Carrot lunch, and I am always impressed by the variety and quality of the food on offer. So far, (quarterly meetings over 2 years) I don't remember seeing the same items presented - now that takes some doing. Well done team, highly recommended.

We used Blue Carrot for our wedding catering in March. The food was delicious and the catering staff on the night worked hard to get around everyone, serving drinks promptly, and were friendly. Unfortunately the experience leading up to the day wasn't good - we found the customer service via emails and meetings to be pushy & difficult, there were so many emails with changes flying around it was hard to keep track of everything. It did add a lot of stress to the planning process. We'd recommend that Blue Carrot take into account their customer's needs more in the lead-up to their event, and put in place some sort of form at the beginning to help minimise the number of questions asked, and streamline the process. Responding to Nicole's comment below - my husband met with Nicole, so we did meet in person. We both found the customer service from the Managing Director Nicole to be bad, as did my mother-in-law, who phoned Nicole on the Monday to check why they had thrown out the left-over food on the night of the wedding, rather than putting it in the fridge for us. My mother-in-law was treated really rudely, laughed at, and told that left-over food is always thrown out and that it would "only be good for pigs". Statements like that were incredibly unhelpful and stressful while planning the wedding and sorting out things afterwards.

We used Blue Carrot Catering for our wedding in Wairarapa and they were exceptional! The service from our first enquiry through to the big day was thorough and professional. Nicole was great to deal with throughout the quoting process and agreeing a menu with lots of variety to keep all our guests satisfied. The catering team on the day adapted really well to a venue they had never worked in before and delivered flavoursome, good quality food. Our catering package included a bridal basket which was such a delightful treat during our bridal party photos, and the team ensured that noone was ever hungry. We decided on a buffet and I was a bit concerned that the portion sizes would be too small but that was far from true - there was so much food that everyone who wanted it was able to get seconds, and even in some cases, thirds. I would happily recommend Blue Carrot catering for any event! Huge thanks to Nicole, Saia & the rest of the Blue Carrot team.
