I tried these pies just now. Omg they are so good!!! I had chicken & mushroom pie & the steak n cheese. So good!!

I just had your butter chicken pie and it was delicious. Actually had pieces of chicken in it! The pastry was of a superior standard to any other supermarket pie. After exhaustive tests I declare Maketu the best pie to be found at the supermarket. Most pies are loaded with gravy with no meat to be detected and plonk pastry. I will be a regular consumer. Keep up the fabulous standard.

I buy these pies at countdown only because they are the only hot foods they sell. But honestly. Man. Cheaper than a bakery pie but no meat in them. Womp wommp

My husband and I love these pies . Not the sea food ones but only because we don't eat sea food. Five stars well earned we say. Only wish we could buy by the box to keep in the freezer.

This brand makes my favourite pie, smoked fish. So yummy. Pastry is perfectly crunchy without being too flaky.

Maketu pies Went to there factory to only find out that the corner next to it sells the pies,not themselves Had the Apple pie (nothing much) and fish pie,it was ok too My missus has the steak and onion but says it's more mince than steak pieces. Spoilt by pies in Tasmania and Port Douglas,I was expecting more

Pretty good! Sadly Maketu's droppig population isn't helping Maketu Pies' pie domination.More non meat for their local vegetarians would be a great boost to Maketu Pies. These pies are a trip to Heaven, on Earth! A must visit for any pie loving historians!
