the staff were wiling to go out of their way to make it easy for us to focus on our conference, even by going to get our subway order to save us the time of getting it (and we were quite willing to go get it ourselves)

A.Love to stay here when travelling for work. Service is personalised, staff are friendly and rooms are clean. Although some of the rooms look over the courtyard they are sound proof. Upon arrival you are given discount booklet's from surrounding locals, including Frederics, Miss Whites, Ozone, Snug and Monica Eatery (I recommend all of these). Location is a short walk to the Coastal Walkway Foreshore or to the main strip. Thank you for making my stay enjoyable.

t.Truly the best place to stay in New Plymouth. Great location - handy to the coastal walkway and TSB showplace, right opposite the gallery, and not to mention some of the best restaurants and cafes right on your doorstep. Rooms have everything you need, and those above the West End Precinct courtyard have heavy doors that block out all noise and light - such an oasis! Front desk staff are super friendly and helpful, and rooms are always very tidy.
T.Absolutely beautiful hotel! The staff are amazing and very helpful. It was clean and comfortable. 2 nights were not long enough. I 100% recommend this place as a must when visiting New Plymouth. We will definitely be staying again.
R.Our group of three stayed from Saturday 8th to Monday 10th, and since arriving the Receptionsts greet you and go above and beyond, eg, stored our bags behind the counter while our room was being cleaned, to, having buckets of ice delivered to our room. They house keepers accommodate without any issues. I've been to a lot of hotels and have never had this sort of high level service before. Definitely treated like a King. Mauriora!

J.Have stayed here a number of times now and have always had a great time! The staff are so friendly and do such a great job. The King Henry Suite is a great option when staying with your family as they are very spacious. The Premium Suite is also huge and the kitchen is well equipped. Both of these suites have nice comfortable furnishings and large outdoor balcony’s. The Left Wing Studio is perfect for a short stay when you just need a comfortable place to sleep and base yourselves. The hotel is in a perfect location situated in the West End Precinct. Recommended food places from our stays would be Social Kitchen, Public Catering, Ms Whites, State Pasta, and Elixir Cafe. The hotel gives you vouchers for a number of surrounding businesses, which are appreciated. Right opposite the Len Lye Centre which makes visiting the gallery so easy. All in all the best place to stay in New Plymouth no matter the occasion.
A.Everything you've read about King and Queen hotel online is true! Their website say they are a four star hotel, but it should really say six stars. The service was attentive and welcoming. From the staffer that we made the initial booking on the phone, to reception greeting us when we arrived, right to the general manager who asked about our plans and then offered us their complimentary bikes. Nothing was a problem, they went out of their way to assist, and the little extra facilities make all the difference. When you start your day and end your night in this hotel, it just topped off our visit and memory of New Plymouth. We totally recommend this hotel.
A.Amazing hotel in the heart of New Plymouth. Fantastic facilities, friendly staff and nicely decorated rooms. Close to so many great bars and places to eat and you can do a lot of charge backs and are even given a lot of vouchers to use at many of them. Free parking also. This is one of the best places we have ever stayed at either in New Zealand or internationally. Definitely the place to stay in New Plymouth highly recommended.

The rooms are nice, functional, very clean and the team is absolutely friendly, helpful and always there to help. We have been used this Hotel every time in New Plymouth for a while now ... (2016-2020) so, I recommend this place with all my conviction.

T.Hotel was amazing, everything was funky and quirky but still classy! Love that our room had a separate toilet to bathroom and full ability to cook a meal even though there was every option from coffee to wine bar within 60m of our room. Staff were amazing and down to earth.
M.Lovely bouquet hotel with awesome service and beautiful room's. Booked in for on night and ended up staying 2. Nice little private lounge area for guests to enjoy complementary tea and coffee and breakfast cereal while reading the local news paper.

R.Can't say enough positive things about this place, pretty gutted we only had one night. The service is friendly and top notch. The rooms are incredible, you actually feel like you're in someone's home and not a hotel room. The interior decor is very swanky. Bathrooms are awesome and our suite had washing machine and dryer which we desperately needed. Oh and also there's a fireplace with leather couches in the living room! On top of all this you're right in the heart of the city and the hotel co-owns a few places so you can get some great deals on food. We went to the pizza place right next door and were not disappointed. Highly recommended and we will be coming back.

N.The staff here are amazing! So friendly and helpful! Perfect location just steps from the coastal walkway and center of town. They also offer bikes to ride at no charge, and coupon books for many local eateries. Rooms are clean and perfect....I highly recommend staying here!!

R.This hotel is the best. Also the staff are wonderful, very accomodating, cheerful and willing to attend to anything needed. Comfortable rooms, excellent cleanliness, free wifi, and in a very central but quiet position, near to many restaurants, close to the sea. Some suites have very spacious private verandahs with table and chairs - lovely to sit out on a sunny day.
J.One of the best hotels I have stayed at. We stayed in the Anniversary Suite and were pleasantly surprised with quality, service, location and amenities of the hotel. Receptionist was amazing, and so was the arrangement of quality dining establishments on the ground floor. Highly recommended for a romantic getaway.

We had a wonderful experience starting with the warm welcome from James and Luke to the well presented room, fashionable decor and very comfortable bed.
My wife loved the fragrance of the candle that met us in the hotel foyer.
James and Luke couldn't do enough to assist us with things to do and what to visit in the city.
We loved the food at adjacent cafes Monica's and Public Catering, so close to the hotel, both get 5 stars from me.
The proximity of the hotel to the art gallery, city, cafes and sea side board walk meant everything was within a stones throw.
Well done King and Queen, we'll be back.

B.I've been to many five star hotels around the world, King & Queen stood a class above the rest. The service is exceptional, the staff are very friendly and attentive to my needs. I would like to mention James and Daniel in particular has been very helpful in everything - from suggesting interesting places to visit, to suggesting best restaurants and eateries, I didn't have to struggle to find anything as I could just call them up and they always have a suggestion for me. I had a long three weeks stay with a short check out in between as I had to go to other cities, they were very nice to book me the same room when I returned with my luggages and things returned to where they were! Now that's a service I didn't find anywhere else even in five star hotels. There overall experience is just exceptional. They made me feel at home and relaxed. I am looking forward to my next stay at the King & Queen. Hats off to the KQ team and "terima kasih" (thank you) for the stay.

J.With a very last minute booking at 9pm James couldn't of been more helpful and even put on a load of washing for us. The room was excellent and for the first time all week in 3 different hotels the shower was to die for.
J.There is never a problem at the King and Queen, just an opportunity for great friendly service and making you feel that your experience here is what is most important. Top place to stay. And the eateries and shopping in lil ole NP is unique, local and ever so tempting.
S.Management always very nice to deal with. They greet there clients with a high degree of greetings .and when leaving they make sure that you get to your taxi all okay or you can just get in your taxi which should right outside the doors .

Y.(Translated) The suites are large and clean. In the dining bar section, all the utensils, mini bar, kettle, microwave oven and other facilities are very complete. The toilet and bathroom are separate and convenient. The layout in the room is lovely. The front desk staff are very professional and welcoming to the guests. The location is very good. Crossing the road is an art gallery. It takes only 5 minutes to walk to the seaside trails and landmarks.
