D.I love this place! We have used it for the last two years for a ladies weekend. There is so much space, even with a large group you don't feel at all crammed in. There is even enough room for 10 people to do a yoga class (with amazing views) in the the living area. Plenty of comfortable beds with lovely linen and pillows. The kitchen has everything you need and spa is fantastic. I would highly recommend the Big Bach and I need to make a booking again for next year.
R.The Big Bach was a totally perfect and ideal place for our recent family birthday celebration. The house is so spacious, well-planned, comfortable and offering so many extras, that our party of eight adults and five young children were all very well catered for. The large number of bedrooms let family members feel they had several options and no one felt crowded, and the same is true of the bathroom facilities.
The house's location, right on the beach at Raumati, was stunning. Even in winter, and throughout a most stormy and wild-weathered weekend, the view of the sea kept everyone captivated. The children also adored the boat and the spa pool, and in better weather, would have made much greater use of them and the play house.
The house itself is beautifully decorated, comfortable and warm - we loved having a log fire - and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything we could have needed. When not gathered around the huge dining table, or lounging on the many couches, we loved making use of the table tennis room, in fact this became a favourite part of the house.
It was a pleasure communicating with Kelly, who responded swiftly to any queries and who clearly did everything she could to make our stay a successful one.
We loved our stay at the Big Bach, and would love to return in summer!
L.We held our wedding at the Big Bach and it was a great venue. We got amazing weather and stunning sunsets despite the time of year, and were able to have an outdoor ceremony. The proximity to the beach and large living area made the Big Bach the perfect setting for our 35-person event. Kelly and Stu were helpful and responsive throughout. A well-maintained and furnished holiday home!
D.This is such a great property and has plenty of room to house our group of golfers whenever we stay. It has a great kitchen dining facility that comfortably seats large groups. A top location.
J.We celebrated a family birthday at the Big Bach. It was the perfect accomodation for this type of occasion. The large living area/kitchen easily catered for our group and there was plenty of space for adults and children to spread out. The views out of the ocean and to Kapiti island are magical, especially as the sun is setting. There are multiple outdoor areas to make the most of the sunshine throughout the day. There is easy beach access. The children were well occupied by the play room and games room and also the multiple books and board games. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing holiday.
F.The Big Bach was the perfect getaway, and such a stunning setting for any special occasion. We had plenty of space for all 23 of us, and loved every careful detail, from the stash of board games to the ample supply of cafetieres! Kelly made the booking process and preparation so straightforward, and everyone left wishing they could stay for longer. We can't wait to come back :)
P.Our group of 5 families had another wonderful stay at the Big Bach - our fourth annual holiday group trip here. Always loads of space for all the adults and kids, wonderful beach access and extra large kitchen. We loved the new decor, games room and spa. Will definitely be back next summer!
I.Such special memories were made at this awesome family friendly "Big Bach"! We were a large group of three families and there was plenty of space for all! Kids bunkroom was awesome and the games room was a hit, particularly during wet and windy days. The large lounge and kitchen area served us well and the fireplace was enjoyed on the cooler evenings! We watched beautiful sunsets from the deck while the kids kicked a ball around on the grass and explored the boat and little playhouse. Spa pool was clean and warm! Direct beach access was super convenient for walks to the nearby Raumati Gardens complete with an amazing playground and mini railway! Kelly was so welcoming and helpful and made our stay stress free. Perfect place to gather with friends and family and enjoy the beautiful Kapiti Coast! Thank you!
A.We booked the Big Bach for our Business Planning Retreat, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Being allowed to check in from 8am was perfect for a corporate booking. So many bedrooms allowed our team to have their own room, and the house has so many 'break out' nooks to get away to for goal setting and thinking. The linen was luxurious, the home beautifully decorated - and the location fantastic....looking over Kapiti Island. Our only regret, was that we had only booked one night! I would love to come back with my family also.
g.The Big Bach is the perfect place for gathering a large group of people and there were more than enough options to comfortably sleep 18 of us for a weekend. The house sits right on the beach and has the most beautiful views overlooking the sea and Kapiti Island. The large decks upstairs and downstairs were a favourite spot for us to all hang out and relax and the spa was a lovely addition. The house itself is beautiful and modern, the beds were all super comfy and the kitchen has everything you could ever need for cooking up a storm! The owners are also lovely and had great communication when I had any questions. I can’t recommend this place highly enough and would book again in a heart beat.
