We have used Spoonful Catering twice in the last 12 months. Both times the food has been of the highest standard and great value for money. Dan tailored the catering to suit our needs and our budget - we have loved dealing with him - he makes catering for a group very easy and our guests have been blown away by the food and service. Highly recommend.

Daniel and his team catered for our work Christmas function and we could not have been happier. He was so flexible and helpful in the planning process, and delivered incredible food and fantastic service on the day. Amazing value too. Thanks to you and Mandy, we had a fab day!

I very rarely write reviews but I have to tell the world about Dan and how fabulous Spoonful Catering is. Dan catered for our small wedding dinner and we were blown away by how he and his wonderful staff made the evening even more perfect by being so attentive, so professional, and so calm. The food was fabulous too of course 😊 but it really was how they just went about preparing the dinner whilst also looking after us all with such courtesy. We were blessed with divine weather, an outstanding celebrant and photographer and Dan just topped it all off. My only concern is I’ll never be able to hire him again…he will be in such demand.

Daniel catered for our dinner party Saturday - he did a wonderful job on the food. All guests thought the dishes (canapes, pintxos) were fantastic - but just as important he is a great conversationalist and everyone enjoyed his company.

Dan at Spoonful Catering catered a dinner party for 12 of us and we had such an amazing experience. Dan goes above and beyond. His food combinations are creative and absolutely delicious. He works extremely hard to produce amazing results. He has a lovely calm manner and willing to chat and entertain. It is obvious he is passionate about food and hospitality and has such a wealth of amazing experience to draw on. I cannot recommend Dan enough for what ever occasion you require. He is flexible and your expectations will be exceeded. It was such a privilege, thank you Dan.

Dan and the team at Spoonful catering are a pleasure to deal with and offer some of the best quality and tasting food I have ever experienced. Spoonful provided the catering for a charity fundraising evening I was part of organising and everyone was blown away by the food.

Dan and his team catered a party for us. The food was delicious, plentiful and exactly what we wanted. The wait staff were very professional and lovely to deal with. Everyone one of our guests commented on the food. We highly recommend Spoonful Catering.

Dan catered our wedding in in Wellington in July and we honestly couldn’t recommend him highly enough. Together with his team at Spoonful -- especially the wait staff who totally nailed it -- he helped made the day and night even better than what we had hoped for. Most importantly the food was just incredible -- there’s been a seemingly endless stream of compliments with everyone wondering how were they able to cook food that good for so many people. Through the coronavirus situation this year our plans changed three or four times with short notice. Dan was not only flexible with all the last minute changes, but he was also very generous with his time, going above and beyond in terms of emails, phone calls and zoom chats to ensure we had the best wedding possible. This included adjustments to the scale of the event, completely re-doing the menu, the staffing requirements and the venue all within a couple of weeks - and with absolutely no stress at all. One other thing that probably summed up the whole experience with Dan (and Spoonful): at the very end of the night, well after he and the team had packed up, we made a last minute request for a few stronger drinks that we hadn’t talked about previously and within about 20 minutes they had it sorted - even driving to get bits and pieces they didn’t have to hand.

Spoonful catered for our wedding and we couldn't have been happier with our choice of Dan and his team. Dan was so easy to work with, which made for a truly stress free experience. He really listened to, and understood what we wanted to achieve with our wedding menu. Dan delivered not only a delicious, but visually beautiful grazing table. Our compliments to Dan and his team were echoed by so many of our guests. We could not recommend Spoonful highly enough.

I recently attended an event catered for by Dan and his team at Spoonful. The food was exceptional and devoured promptly! Fresh, beautifully presented and delicious, I would recommend Dan and his team for all your catering needs.

Spoonful catered for our work event and did a wonderful job. Dan was very friendly, responsive, and flexible enough to accommodate for a last minute change. We got lots of positive comments about the beautiful canapes. Dan was also a superstar during the event, socialising with guests and engaging conversations about food. Very highly recommended.

It was a pleasure to deal with Spoonful to cater our event. The feedback from our delegates was really positive, they all went home with full bellies and a smile on their face! Anne and Dan were very accommodating and helpful. We had specific feedback from those with special dietary requirements about how well they were catered to. 10/10!!

Spoonful catered an event I attended recently, and it was exceptional. The presentation with the attention to detail and thought that was put into each course, as well as of course it tasting amazing, was beautifully balanced. It's clear Dan is passionate about what he does, and what he delivers shows that! Would highly recommend!

Spoonful catered a very special birthday lunch for us for around 50 people. We were absolutely delighted with the whole experience. They were so easy to work. Listened to what we wanted, offered great menu options and served up the most incredible food! Made for a stress free event.

We had a wonderful meal served at home for a birthday celebration with 12 guests. Dan is friendly and provides great advice on the different options he supplies. The 3 courses were top restaurant quality and presented beautifully. Would advise anyone wishing to drink their own cellared wine with a great meal at home...Spoonful is the way forward.

Spoonful recently catered for our daughter's birthday party that had about 50 people including kids. The food was delicious and lots of people commented to us afterward on how yum it was. The amount of food was generous and the vegetarian options were super tasty too. We were so pleased at how the party went and our choice to have Spoonful's help to feed everyone!

I attended an event no long ago and Spoonful catered it. It was just awesome. I wasn't expecting anything like that. It was as pleasurable for my mouth that it was for the eyes. Nicely presented quality food. So diverse and yummy. If I organize something in the future, I'm glad to have discovered a catering company I can trust. Highly recommended. D

Spoonful catered a ‘major’ birthday dinner for seventeen people at my home in February 2019. Everything was superb and I give them five stars! I had first talked to them about vague preferences for food for a birthday dinner at the end of December 2018. Spoonful quickly came back with a quote and then a delicious menu: The entree was house-made salmon gravadlax, pickled beets, horseradish crème fraîche and baby watercress. The main was parmesan and parsley crusted New Zealand lamb rack (superbly tender) on kumera rösti, baby carrots and wilted spinach, with a red wine and truffle oil jus. We brought in a cake, and they suggested and then supplied, candied Italian oranges and vanilla mascarpone cream. The dinner was totally delicious and our friends loved it as much as we did. Dan provided a vegetarian entree and main to the same superb standard for one friend. He organised that the dinner was gluten free and made sure the one GF person was served rack of lamb without the Parmesan and parsley. There is a sliding door between the dining room and kitchen, but I was unaware of any talk or noise. All serving of food, taking plates away, was done calmly and quietly. For example I did not even notice this was happening. Dan had come to meet with us to discuss logistics well prior to the dinner. Dan is a total professional and a very nice person. I've attended many events where Dan and Spoonful Catering have provided the sumptuous food. The food is sooo yummy and different ... wagyu beef burgers where people fight over the seconds. Also catering for dietary requests.

What an awesome night. The food was amazing and just kept coming. The atmosphere was relaxed and Dan was so knowledgeable and engaging.

My Partner and I attended a function catered by spoonful and we were very impressed with the presentation and quality of the food, as were others at the function. We highly recommend Dan and his team, give them a try you wont be disappointed

Tested Spoonful catering many times at work. It is difficult to beat the quality and taste of food. Dan and the team, great food and lovely people..can’t ask for more!!

Recently we spoonful catering for our staff christmas dinner. The salads were devine, the presentation and quality along with attention to detail made it such a special meal. I can't recommend this catering company highly enough. Wonderful experience 😊
