G.St Patrick's is located in the heart of Auckland city. Easy, paid parking across the street which can be validated at the cathedral for a consessional parking fee.
The architectural features, acoustics, sunrays through the stained glass and the smell of incense is something I always enjoy when attending services here
R.A beautiful place of worship with a lot of history behind it.
We enjoy coming to this cathedral for all major Catholic celebrations like Christmas, Good Friday, Easter Sunday and New Year's Eve. Very often the mass is celebrated by Bishop Patrick Dunn. It is such an honour to hear him speak.
We also enjoy the choir..... Absolutely delightful!!
Even if you are passing by during the day, do drop in and spend some time here. It feels very divine and peaceful.
R.Very nice and old church right in the middle of the city.
One can not even judge this being here given a lot of high rise buildings surround this marvellous place.
The church is always open to visitors and one can easily attend any service here.
The interiors and as majestic as the exteriors.
The location is easily accessible via public transport and walking.
A must visit while in the inner city.
Highly recommended.
S.It was the first time experience in a New Zealand church and it was amazing. The way rituals were follower was overwhelming. It was so pleasing to be there. One can feel the purity and connection with God. The best place to achieve peace of mind. Also easy asses to buses and train station is also near.

M.Great faithful Cathedral with a beautiful, elegant, yet simple design. I attended Sunday mass here and the community was gorgeous! Full of youth, all singing and active in prayer. What a beautiful sight. The Cathedral leads one into prayer by its set-up.
I also want to compliment and comment on the clergy who are in charge as there is daily (weekdays) confession from 11:30am-12:10pm. Any church that offers sacraments regularly gives off a good sign that they care about the right things. God bless you!
L.I happened to pass by this area to rest after a long walk from viaduct... I felt peaceful and relaxed while sitting on one of the benches there while watching the man-made waterfall.. I found this place awesome.

J.Couldn't go inside* because we were too late at night, but happened to stumble across this hidden little gem. Even without being able to walk in, the double glass doors gave us a glimpse of a clean and historical building, plus the exterior speaks for itself. It's not quite Notre Dame, but if you're in the area, it's worth finding this place.
*Would likely rate higher if I could have gone inside; can't rate what you haven't fully seen right?
T.Attended many full school Masses held here. Gorgeous cathedral, very friendly helpful staff and always a beautiful service. Lovely stained glass windows and an awe inspiring atmosphere.
H.Beautiful Cathedral however the doors had to remain open (I presume for health and safety reasons) causing a draft, so I recommend sitting away from the doors if possible.
A.I liked this Cathedral, it catches my self spirituality every single time I will do my service in here. Not that fan of the single lead “singer?” But it does adds to that momentarily feeling, I would say. The choir though is good.
C.Located in the heart of CBD. You can feel the holiness of the place - I love attending masses here.
D.Great architecture and an interesting range of Sunday services for people to visit and experience the church as an integral part of the inner city community. Current Sunday Times are 7am 11am 4.30pm and 7pm each service lasting about an hour.

D.This is my piece of heaven whenever Im in town...i always visit the church everytime i have an opportunity visiting city central.although the church is located at one of the busiest streets, it is very peaceful and it has the sense of serenity. The interior of the church is very beautiful. One thing that gets to me is when visitors taking pictures even when there is a church service...i wish there are clearer signs stating about being more discreet "sightseeing" especially during service...i see it in other countries where they can be a bit firm with tourist/visitors (not allowing to enter unless they joined the service) especially during services..
F.The Cathedral of St. Patrick and St. Joseph is a very peaceful place. The statue of Lord Jesus at the entrance as an industrious wood technologist is an inspiration to many. Then it is awesome to pray in His presence in the tabernacle set in a prominent place ahead of the altar. It is a Divine experience every time I step in to pray there and be a part of the Adoration an Eucharistic Celebration. I just feel to stay there and relax in prayer.

Absolutely love this place for youth events and gathering.
They have LifeTeen which is a young group for teenagers aged 13-18yrs... They meet once every month for 2 hours to play games, share food and more... 😍
It's a beautiful structure and amazingly massive indoors.
There are washroom facilities inside and around the Cathedral. You can just ask anyone to guide you there.

B.Beautiful church. Excellent choir. Dynamic community. The bishop is outgoing and friendly. Meets and greets Instead of being remote and imperious like a lot of bishops! New Zealand is a small and close knit society and the Catholic Church is the same. Priests serve many parishes and need to be dependent on the laity. The bishop is the same because it's a small community.
H.Quiet refuge in the heart of the city. Beautiful old Cathedral. Not large but perfectly formed. The choir is excellent. Great place to meditate.

M.A lovely church withing Auckland CBD. Interior is well maintained. We’ve been here 3x to hear mass. We love how solemly the mass is being held and to see different kinds of people (tourists, migrants).
c.Just stunning even if you're not a Catholic it's well worth popping in and having a look around when there is no service going on. I am a recovering Catholic so it may have been just memories but I would like to see a full benediction service there one day. That's the special service when they walk around with all the bells and whistles swinging incense burners and such. Aside from that the restoration it's just spectacularly done

E.Beautiful Catholic Church right in the heart of the city. Offers mass on Sundays and for special events. I attended many sevices in St Patrick's while attending a Catholic girls high school and can say from experience that the acoustics, artwork and architecture of this building is fantastic. St Patrick's cathedral also has a modern park with a water feature outside it in the courtyard which provides a lovely space in the city for lunch breaks or an interesting place to take children to play in the fountain!
P.How could anyone give a church a bad review? "I'm giving it two stars because the wine was not sweet." Just kidding. I love going here. Always good to hear homilies from priests with sense of humor. The wind organ is always cool to listen to. My go to church in the city.

D.Beautiful architecture in this Building, was heading home so decided to call in for mass (been a long time), supprised the church didnt fall down lol, Sunday 18 August 2019, so many foreigners- dont kiwis go to mass any more haha.
C.Honestly one of my favorite spots in Auckland. As a practicing Catholic, I honestly feel very much at home in the Cathedral. The interior is very solemn and is very helpful when trying to put yourself into a prayerful mood. And on top of that, many Mass times on Sundays is always a bonus. Lots of choice to make it, and the location is awesome. When I was working in the CBD, it was perfect to go to during my lunch breaks. It will always hold a very special place in my own journey, and I highly recommend the visit.

C.A place of worship and sanctuary amidst the bustle of the City. The parking discount machine 'helps' ease the parking charge at the nearby Wilson garage and despite this, the beauty of the cathedral and the joy of the Mass makes it a joy to visit.
