Re the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament I believe the cathedral should be restored. We all know this will take a long time and funding will be an issue. However this cathedral is an icon and has an amazing history. I believe it is well situated in Barbadoes Street. To build a new cathedral in the city centre will be expensive and no parking available. Therefore not practical. Also very costly! Also it should be noted that people are not returning to the inner city as we have been led to believe. If we are unwise enough to demolish our cathedral entirely - then we should build a chapel and the three bishops who rest in peace there, should remain at peace in their present environment.
