Did the Dark Wizard room, room theming was great. At the start i was a bit disappointed there seemed to be mostly padlock type puzzles. BUT without spoiling anything there was a surprise or two and a few really fun puzzles that definitely made up for that. Look forward to giving the other rooms a shot some time!

I went to the Dark Wizard escape room with two young children, They are big Harry Potter fans and this did not disappoint. The entire experience was great from the very friendly staff, to the detail and puzzles in the room, it was hard enough to keep the kids guessing but not too hard that they lost interest. I would highly recommend this escape room, great for adults and kids alike, a great experience.

This was a great experience. Having never done an escape room before we didn't know what to expect but the whole family thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were also very good. Will definitely go back to try a different room.

Great rooms with clever twists and puzzles! I have done every room here and my favorites were room 238 and Dark Wizard. The staff are very friendly and great with the hints they provide when needed. The only thing I would change is the immersion... a little background music can go a long way in an escape room! Also, because the rooms aren't very sound proof it can affect the experience when you can hear the radio/people talking outside the room. The theme music could potentially help block out this noise.

Have done a few rooms with Escape Artists now, they're all great, challenging puzzles and great stories. An amazing outing with friends and family. Isaac and the team are brilliant. I'll 100% be back, I wish there were more rooms, I'm addicted!!!

I have now completed 2 of the rooms since Escape Artists has moved into the BNZ centre and these have been fantastic, my friends and I had the best time so much fun and laughter. The rooms are so well done I would 100% recommend to anyone. I can’t wait to go back and do another room ❤️

We came here for a work function and loved it! The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and patient when it came to waiting for stragglers 😅. The rooms were challenging for us all and provided an excellent team-building experience. The new location in the BNZ Centre is excellent, with handy car-parking and plenty of options for food nearby. Whether it be for a work function, a family outing or even a date, I would highly recommend Escape Artists. Thanks again!

I've been here multiple times and continue to be more and more impressed at every visit! The team at Escape Artists make everyone feel so welcome and their booking system is really simple. The facility is always clean and tidy, and the escape rooms are really fun and really challenging. With multiple rooms to choose from, and a fresh room added every year, they keep you guessing and I can't wait to go back again!

So much fun! We had 2 groups running the same rooms as a competition and it was fun to know you were beating the room but also up against other people for bragging rights! Such a good activity and the people who build the rooms and clues are very good at their jobs! I've done a few rooms and never get bored of the puzzles as every room is different. Exceptionally designed and made Escape Rooms and was definitely an experience to remember, the technology and gadgets used in the rooms were nifty and quite interesting, and the rooms had plenty of logical puzzles and riddles to solve. The staff were also very friendly and explained everything properly. Overall this is one of the best escape rooms I've tried and I highly recommend trying one out!

My wife and best friend decided to try an escape room and decided to try Escape Artists Christchurch. We booked online, very straight forward and simple. The activity itself was a bunch of fun. Our guide gave us a brief on what to expect without giving anything away. We went for a 4/5 difficulty room and we were thoroughly challenged, had a whole bunch of fun, and felt like absolute aces when we escaped with a few minutes to spare. We have an option to ask for a clue if we get stumped which we did have to use since we were thoroughly stumped at one point. Give it a go. You will have a great time! We'll definitely try another room in the future.

We did the Jungle Room for my daughter's 11th birthday party. The team at Escape Artists were super helpful and welcoming throughout the whole process from booking to end. HEAPS of fun had by all. Even though the rooms are probably designed for adults, the hints process makes it doable for kids. For adults you can take the challenge of no hints. Definitely recommended, thanks guys!

It was really fun there. I mostly liked that poster on the wall on the waiting room. I did the Mysterious cabin room escape challenge. I really liked it! It was really good how they gave us more time when the 1 hour limit is over. Though we got some clues on the way to our final door, we managed to escape it! If you want to develop some teamwork with your mates, doing something fun, do your brain workout, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, or just simply try something new, I would recommend Escape Artists!

Great event. Was a little nervous for my first visit but our team thoroughly enjoyed it and will do another room at a later time and would recommend this for team build or a group of friends. Screams of delight could be heard through the walls and the staff took all the excited kids (and grown-ups) in their stride. Totally recommend this experience for family or team-building fun!

I've been here twice so far. Once for a team building exercise and once with family. Both times I really enjoyed myself and thought the staff was very lovely. Personally I think the rooms could be set up a wee bit more authentic and one of the rooms I was missing the story line a bit and it was more a collection of riddles. I still had a great time though and a giant plus was that we were able to take our baby with us and that everyone was very accommodating (eg waited an extra few minutes before starting the briefing so I could finish feeding first. And being able to leave the room to change the baby if needed)

It was a great way to experience what it could be like to solve a case and I had a lot of fun working out the clues and jumping when a painting or cupboard suddenly opened to reveal a much needed clue. Did the dark wizard which is a Harry Potter theme and it was really fun! Got a bit of an adrenaline rush. It's great that they have different difficulty levels and it was pretty magical the way some items work/unlock which made it a better experience. The price is good too!

We have had three “escapes” here and every time has been an awesome, fun experience! The staff here are great. Very chatty and make you feel very welcome. The rooms and puzzles are challenging but lots of fun and there are plenty of fantastic “a-ha!” moments. Two people can definitely get through the puzzles with some hints but four to six people allows for more ideas to be explored and it’s probably more enjoyable with more friends scrambling around the room looking for clues!!!

Booked for a group of 17 as a team event. Booking process was easy online, with quick response. Parking wasn't an issue with plenty of space in the surrounding area. Reception area is spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly and approachable. Our group had the Cabin, which was awesome with a good variety / level of puzzles. Provide several rooms with different experiences. Was taken there for a birthday outing. The staff is very friendly, they have a lounge where you can gather and hang out until the rooms are ready. On the tables are little puzzles to keep the people occupied while they wait. Ambience a little bit tired, but they get a lot of folks through. The room I went through had a lot of PIN codes for locks to figure out, and other puzzles and challenges. I noticed that the rooms come with a 'story line', but that the puzzles don't build on each other in a logical train of thought, but are rather random. They are diverse enough that everyone can somehow figure stuff out and participate. Still great fun. There are escapes for claustrophobic people, and if the group gets stuck, they can radio out to the staff who will nudge them in the right direction. Can recommend.

First time doing an escape room in NZ (have done others overseas). Highly recommend escape artists. I told myself to not expect great things after some extravagant escape rooms in Korea but this place has done it really well. While there is not as much attention to detail in some of the rooms, the storyline and puzzles are a good challenge. Staff were amazing! Would give them 10 stars if possible. They were friendly, relaxed and amazing at their jobs. Have completed other escape rooms in Christchurch since that didn’t even let us figure things out on our own but gave us hints before we had even had a proper look around the room.

The guy who did the storyline and took a pic of us after we completed the fbi room in about 68 minutes was really friendly. The escape room itself was pretty exciting too, a few jump scares and laughs along the way because the jump scares weren't actually overly scary. Overall an amazing time, will aim to go back again.

This concept is great, it's well organised and they are very accommodating. In principal the escape room we did 'the prison' was awesome. My only feedback is that the place could easily do with being a little crisper. Things seemed old and a little run down.

A new and interesting way to give that grey matter a work out! My wife and I went there recently and tried one of the puzzle rooms and had a blast. We had both never done anything like that previously and after giving it a go I have no doubt we will be back again for the next challenge!

Went here as a family trying Escape Artists for the first time (we already did some escape rooms with Escape Quest in Queenstown) and we were blown away. Staff are very helpful and are easy to talk to. The rooms are also amazing. We did Missile Control and loved the interactiveniss of the whole thing. From a newscaster backstory to general aesthetic, it really made me feel I was actually doing the mission. Overall, would recommend highly. One small issue I have however is price. At $22 a person, it's a lot cheaper than other escape rooms, but I think it would be better by lowering the price slightly. Other than that, love the whole experience and would go back for as long as they keep adding new and exciting rooms.

A cool set-up, friendly staff who were helpful throughout, and would give a "knock" if they thought we needed a clue. But left it up to us whether we took the clue or not. Looking forward to trying out the other rooms!

Took two 10 year old boys who really enjoyed it - we did the missile room and made it in time which they were really stoked about!! Did get ourselves a bit confused as a bag that should have been locked wasn't so didn't need a code to get into it so got a bit out of sequence and also spotted a code without needing to decipher something to reveal it. Confused the operator when trying to get some hints as we were several steps ahead of where she thought we were as we missed a few steps. Other than was really enjoyable and we would all go again and try a different one.
