Reviews of St. Joseph's Cathedral

Great preservation of Neo-gothic architecture. No need for a modern sound system because the walls reverberate the voices of the choir and pipe organ music. Stained glass windows of the Saints are beautiful. There's one distinct but hardly noticeable different window. That of St. Dominic and his sister St. Catherine. This window was made for the Dominican Order. Parish priest is also very friendly and approachable.

Visited in the afternoon (around 4pm). The side entry door to the church was open. We went inside and it was dark - we were unable to locate the light switch so we left. The Gothic look of the church is very picturesque.

Great architecture.. close to CBD Worth a visit

Nice church but limited seats inside so do not be late for the mass!

Not the best example visited - check out Sacred heart Timaru if you want to see a high end example

Old original church style Dunedin Cathedral in much need of repairs but still habitual ... worth viewing as part of your sight seeing adventure or for your church experience. Good attendance by church goers when I there.If cold wear something to keep warm as heating is limited and I would expect quiet costly ...

Love to go to this church every 7pm Saturday evening. It was not open at 7pm anymore.

A lovely catholic church in Dunedin, and only have limited number of seats inside. Parking on the ground is also limited, though you can find on street parking in the area. If you want a bit of exercise, you can walk to here.

Awesome place. Wife wanted to visit while we were in Dunedin as her Great Grandparents were married there in 1932.

We had a wonderful baptism so well catered to our needs

Year of St Joseph... Good place to go for Easter and Christmas service
