Lovely looking building and grounds which clearly holds a lot of importance for the Ratana faith

A very Significant Sacred and Spiritual place that encapsulates the Mana of Matua, Tama roro-I-kutia, Wairua Tapu and the Faithful Angel's who did not forsake their first estate as did the fallen ones. The Bible in one Hand and the Kawenata in the other are two witnesses that still speak today of what will be. Come and celebrate the past, present and future as the legacy of W.T. Ratana still lives in the Morehu and Ihu Karaiti.

Beautiful Church. Very clean and tidy all round. Take shoes off at the door and go inside. No photo's are to be taken of the inside.

It is a very beautiful place and the essence of our faith. Our church has wonderful teachings that can benefit people of all denominations. Ours is a peaceful faith that judges not, and yet a powerful inspiration for social justice and positive sociopolitical change. Our founder Tahupotiki Wiremu Ratana was a true visionary who saw that true equality in Aotearoa requires righting historical injustices. The Temple is like beacon for the Morehu and inspires faith and worship in followers o Te Haahi Ratana,
Ma te Mangai, hei tautoko mai aiane ake nei amine

A very historic church with beautiful grounds. Interesting story about how it came to be.

Ratana Temple is a true spiritual sanctuary. As soon as one enters it, one can feel the generations of prayer that have soaked into its fabric. It is very beautiful. Round the walls are painted the symbols of the Ratana Church. Blue is for Matua - Father.. White is for Tama -Son - Jesus Christ Red is for Wairua Tapu - the Holy Spirit. Purple is for Anahera Pono - the Holy and Faithful Angels. Yellow is is for Mangai - the Mouthpiece of God. Initially when he was alive Tahupotiki Ratana was the Mouthpiece
If you sit in the center of the Church, you will see how all the symbols show the message: Matua, Tama, Wairua Tapu, Me nga Anahera Pono, Me to Mangai. Aenai akenai ae.. Right at the center bottom is a blue board saying Tama on the other side of this is Jesus. All around the walls are everlasting plants, which come into bloom annually.
