The great reviews brought us here and glad we waited. Just the right distance from Chc but the crew were getting a bit hangery since they flew in from AKL without breakfast! Nice place, lots and lots of cabinet food, nice, enthusiastic service. Put this in your Google and get to Tinwald!

Coffee was great. Friendly service and a very yummy pancake and bacon breakfast. Maple syrup was really top notch.

This was a beautiful big breakfast at a great price. Couldn't eat it all. Nice and clean as well.

Wanted to find a place for driving break and chances upon this lovely café with fresh bakes and one of the best chips! Love the coziness of it too!

Friendly staff, an amazing selection of cabinet food that never dissapoints. Love the coffee and service with a smile. My go to coffee and lunch spot when in the area. Their selection of fudge makes for a great gift and a convenient location with great parking and very clean facilities. The wee painted cat rocks are a family favouriye, we leave with one every time. So happy to see a local business supporting local artists 10/10!

A nice place to stop by for a coffee, while driving to Christchurch. The lady behind the counter is funny and welcoming, the coffee is excellent and the bakery menu pretty large.

Great wee cafe in ashburton with lovely staff always smiling and delivering great service. Great coffee and best iced chocolates, salads are fresh and crispy with a lot of colour and flavour and tasty sweets. There food all round is exceptional. Family, child friendly always go that extra mile for my kids they also love coming here. Totally recommend to visit if you in the community or just driving thru.

I only stopped for coffee and it was really good. They also have a proper large takeaway cups with three shots. All the food looks amazing. Staff were really nice and they were understandably very busy. Will definitely be back to try some of their food and update this review. Nice to see a well run business, full credit to the owners and staff.

The outside toilet and car park make it so easy to arrive, go into the cafe, that has ovely yummy food and staff. Its a cafe I always stop at when travrlling. Its so easy to spot with its distinct colour ...

Fantastic freindy service coffee was awsome and the all day breakfast was just right but the best highlight is the cute older lady who made and brought my coffee to me stunner and oh so cute

Bought a chocolate raspberry roll. So nice, excellent flavour, 10/10, fresh, supermarket ones are not a patch on this one, bacon and egg pie was so full of goodness and flavourful. Coffees were so tasty, 10 mins to closing and still served hot drinks and goods all cheerfully and with a smile

Friendly staff. Efficient but not pushy. Good coffee and the apple & cinnamon roll was delicious and fresh. The fudge selection was enough to make the mouth water without there being too many flavours. Well worth a visit.

Best Rye bread. When defrosted tastes like fresh.

Standard kind of bakery coffee not great. Pretty expensive for what it is. Pretty good mince and cheese pie 1 extra star for free tomato sauce

Great atmosphere 👌 , food and service

Good for pies, sausage rolls, glad-wrapped sandwiches and pastries. Coffee isn't that great. Thoughtful staff who asked how we'd want a dish served for our toddler. Very limited breakfast options (unless you want pies, sausage rolls or pastries). Plenty of indoor seating. Toilets are outside via the car park but they're clean and functional.

Brilliant coffee, freshly made and tasty food that is reasonably priced. Out of the main part of Ashburton on main road heading south.

good range of cabinet food at a reasonable price. also fudge pies savouries. prices are reasonable. food is fresh and tasty. service is good and friendly. on a busy road and parking not brilliant

Very good selection of food and fudge. The service was pretty good but I was the only one there. Sausage roll was a bit dry but the cake was very nice. Coffee was ok too. Huge selection in the cabinets.

Very hot day. The lady serving out table went back and brought out a bowl of water for our wee dog. That's service! Coffee was super too.

I never pass this place without stopping for coffee, and having recently tried their bread, I'll be getting that now as well!! ♥️

Hands down the best donut I have had in New Zealand. There was just one option with a raspberry jelly and cream donut where it was split down the middle and filled to the brim with a light cream that wasn’t too sweet. Be mindful not to eat this in front of others as the cream will get all over your nose and face as it did to my buddy which also ended up all over his coat. Also, don’t breathe in while eating this as the granulated sugar will hit your throat causing you to cough.

All the food is made fresh at the store and it is SO GOOD. The staff were really nice as well, all very friendly and seemed genuinely happy. It was just a really nice little place to stop and I will definitely be heading back there when I get the chance. I cannot recommend this place enough. <3

Quite often called in here for me to discover basically no food. I'll usually just go to BP now sadly... EDIT to owner: different times of day. Maybe I've just been extremely unlucky.

Friendly staff, a variety of delicious food. They have customer parking and toilets. On the main road, easy access whether heading north or south.

Food was just ok. The staff were nice and the service was fair given how busy it was. Prices were reasonable. It was very noisy when we visited and we found it very hard to hear each other.
