Really great bagels and toast with all manner of delicious toppings here, and all ingredients are high quality. The smoothies and coffee were also excellent, and everything is lovingly prepared and presented. Above all that, though, the best asset is the staff, they are super friendly and welcoming, and helped make for a very enjoyable time. Easy to miss as the entrance is right next to Barker’s. Cosy, tucked-away seating with a larger table out the back. A real gem and an absolute favourite of mine now.

Archies coffee and service was great. They ran out of the toasted banana bread which seems like it’s a hit with locals as there was none left by 1030am but the lovely lady serving asked what else I felt like and suggested an apricot & custard danish, I was hesitant but got it, and just wow it was very very nice, I would go back:)

Wonderful experience both times I’ve come in now! Whether you’re looking for a quick breakfast sandwich before a surf or wanting a relaxing morning over a perfect eggs Benedict with salmon + pan au raisin the food and service here is amazing. Definitely new breakfast spot.

My first NZ Flat White and it didn’t disappoint! Not to hot, nice and strong, yum! Also had a little scrambled egg pide which was totally satisfying! Thanks Archie!

Cute little cafe attached to Barkers on Ponsonby Road. Came here on a Friday afternoon for a quick coffee. The person at the counter was very friendly. The cafe itself is well presented. There are two tables outside the front of Barkers, and a high table inside, but there is a cute little alley with tables and chairs where I sat. I didn't order any food, but the food that came out to the table next to us looked good quality. If you are after good coffee and food with friendly service then you should definitely give this place a go.

This place is great, with nice coffee, good food, and WiFi. The options for food are a little limited because they don't have a full kitchen but I highly recommend the "spicy affair" with cauliflower and hummus. Mostly I enjoy the outdoor seating area here which is a small deck along the side and a larger area out the back (although currently with only one table). The staff are all very friendly too.

I just had a shockingly good flat white here, perhaps the best I've had in NZ! The Ruben on a bagel was also amazing. If you add in the friendly, wonderful staff, this place is perfect.

The staff here are amazing. They know there regulars by their first name and there baristas are highly skilled. If you want good coffee in ponsonby then this is your place.

This place has one of the most talented baristas in Auckland. One of the best cups I’ve had in my life. However, if you are unlucky enough to get a trainee staff you’ll have a below average and bitter experience. $5 for an espresso is not worth the cost if you get the wrong staff member.

A gorgeous little cafe that we stumbled upon, being the only place open on Easter Sunday, during a visit to Auckland. The coffee was easily the best I had in NZ and my bagel was so fresh and lovely. The outdoor space was beautiful and sunny. Significantly, staff were so kind and thoughtful to my 15 mth old daughter, bringing her water, drinks, and letting her be her disruptive self!

This place is beyond amazing. Love it, love it, love it! The coffee was great, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was just on point. To the owners, if you're reading this, I was introduced to your café by a man name Ed, you know each other well. I would have never noticed such a brilliant café without him. Definitely coming back on my next visit to NZ.

Just went with my girlfriend, had chorizo and chicken toast, portion were huge, service was top class from the young girl and the baristas were awesome, overall 10/10 also great seating at the back, I might come back everyday aha Thank you!

what a lovely cafe they had amazing delightful foods and wonderful service especially with very happy smiles with the people who work there and I servant lady who worked it out so I know her and did her interview for Dr Love guide to Shortland St her name is Jenny and I are fans of that program I will give these guys 100% of their service

Our favourite breakfast in Ponsonby ! Great coffee and a delicious menu, staff are all so lovely and friendly. They are set up inside Barkers with a chic outdoor seating on the side which is very cozy and intimate.

I think one of the best coffee in Auckland, the staff is great and go for quality. There is a beautiful heated outdoor courtyard were you can hide from the busy street.

Best coffee on Ponsonby Road, Johnny and the team provide great coffee and food my favourite being the Egg Benedict muffin. Fun vibrant atmosphere definitely will be coming back.

Extremely reasonable café with simple but thoughtful toast and bagel options. Shakshuka was also great with a side of toasted sourdough. Coffee was also great.
