Discovered this little gem on recommendation via a colleague. Cute little cafe with incredible coffee and delicious cabinet food. Have visited two days in a row now and the service is friendly, welcoming and on point. The sushi is epic :)

One of my favorite go-to cafe's in the shore! Their ice latte's are one of the best i've tried in a while. Consistent, Creamy & just the perfect blend. I have tried the hot coffee and unfortunately they are quite average, I have not tried the food but the place is vibe, fairly priced & definitely worth a try

We came here for lunch and ordered a couple of burgers and some coffee. I love the coffee, very nice latte art and tasted great. The burgers were also quite tasty, though I feel like there wasn't enough meat (in this case chicken and crab) to it. Would be keen to come back and try the other dishes though.

Don't you just love a business that is ready for customers when they open their doors? Friendly people, great coffee and the eggs bennie was delicious. Will be back.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Thought the soft shell crab burger was on black bun but turns out it wasn't - it was a good bun though i have to say! Parking could be an issue.

Blind Basket is a staple of Barrys Point locals offering an array of high quality cabinet options from light bites to hearty sandwiches and a generous selection of freshly hand rolled (and visually beautiful) sushi pieces and hot breakfast and lunch options with a nod to korean faire. Get in early to enjoy sushi before its gone for the day, lasting not much longer than 11am. Owners and hosts Judy and Luke are often seen manning the counter and coffee machine respectively with fluid and congenial service. The atmosphere is ecclectic modern, laiden with stacks of the latest designer magazines and various houseplants. Disabled dining access is limited to alfresco options only. Blind Basket - the name of the vessel where used coffee grinds are tipped out - has recieved the accolade of Metro Top 50 Café and for good reason - to any mocha aficiandos, the blend of Allpress coffee and unique chocolate blend is, in my opinion, some of the best mocha in Auckland!

Stopped at Blind Basket this morning on my way to work, service was super fast and friendly. I have my favourite coffee stop on the way to work but I think I just found my new favourite. Coffee was great spot on, I also grab a cheese scone, wow it was the best cheese scone I’ve had, light and super airy and fluffy. Delicious flavours. Will definitely be back tomorrow.

Wow! The food is sublime and the coffee is spectacular. These guys obviously take care in cleaning their coffee machine regularly. The place is spotless and offers such a relaxed atmosphere. I was last her a year ago (which was amazing) and once again today, the food and service is as excellent as before. Consistency of quality and customer focussed service makes for a completely enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend the blind basket every time.

I drive off the motorway to stop at this fab cafe and they have parking. The food is served with such care, incredible presentation and attention to detail. I have returned many times as the food and incredible sushi are so tasty. They get my top mark every time. Coffee is Allpress, the best.

Pleasant cafe and service. Food was very good although as a vegetarian, the options were limited for me. I had the Healthy Bowl, which was nutritious and tasty. The decaf coffee was good. Parking is very difficult... They need to provide more off street parking.

Exceptional food and the cleanest cafe with the best consistency in service and food standards I've experienced in New Zealand for a long, long time. Great music and ambience so even though it's on a busy industrial road, the cafe is spacious, plenty of tables and you don't have to shout to speak to someone. Check out the Beef Burger, you'll be amazed by it's freshness and simplicity. My international friends could not believe how amazing it was! Well done Daniel and Yoona.

The coffee is good, tastes fruity and has a sharp taste. The food is decent and has a mix between cabinet and to order. The cabinet food is pretty typical cafe style food. The cafe environment is pretty bland. The parking is extremely problematic, and difficult to find one.

I'm not really a cafe person, but was in the area and popped in for a bite to eat and to kill some time. Very friendly and professional service! Well above your standard (that I've come across). The lemon yogurt muffin I had was delicious as well!

The coffee here is among the best of the cafes on the shore. The food is also good if a slightly unusual fusion of japanese/western breakfast food. Parking is the main difficulty as they only have 2 spaces outside and street parking can be hard to come by when the area is busy.
