Reviews of Blue Rose.
_.
Best place to eat ! especially if you've been away from home for so long and need your Maori/Islander food fix ! Not a good place if you're trying to diet; I'll start next week. Ordered the Island plate, Hangi pie and Kalo pie. 10/10 ! Service was mean, Kai was mean, Sounds and atmosphere was mean !
S.
While driving on the motorway I made a last minute decision to drive off in your direction for a famous pie and I was not disappointed.
Check this pie out!!! Yummy boil up pie and many others to try out. Positive vibes from staff I will definitely be back and have a seat next time.
C.
Absolutely beautiful space to enjoy a quaint meal with friends or family. Both inside and outside eating space, but it is the polynesian twist on food that is the star! Lu'au or Pasami Pie😍 Delicious! Or Koko samoa Cupcakes! Make sure you try the peanut butter and snickers Shake😉
O.
Absolutely wonderful food and service provided at the Blue Rose Café.
Great atmosphere. We sat outside at the rear of the Cafe. The greenery gives it an 'Oasis' kinda feel.
The all day main "Taro and Luau" was perfect!
The food came out fast, it was awesome and sooooo delicious!
Highly recommend this Cafe hands down!
T.
It's a must do experience,
Excellent service, food is delicious at a worldwide standard, cafe prices a little bit high, healthy, places is clean, I love it's locally owned, with both Cook Islands n Maori twist.
F.
I was surprised today for my 50th birthday breakfast care of my husband and sons!! Blue Rose's Rob and his beautiful team are truly sweet and did not let on when I arrived! Not only is their food absolutely devine, delicious, huge and beautifully presented. But, the lovely setting of their Cafe and their genuine hospitality, welcoming smiles and kind words, made today just as special. The beautiful fusion of Island food with all the lovely taste and flavours I remember growing up! The palusami pie, luau, pua'a, taro, oka, for breakfast is a true treat. Just the fact that I was in the midst of such gifted food people and my beautiful family, is the highlight of reaching this milestone! Thank you so much Rob and the Aiga from Blue Rose!!

The pies were ok. Not my thing personally and I think they need a proper food warmer as they have them displayed on shelves by the window but the pies lose its heat and although they reheated the pies we ordered they weren't hot. Just warm on the cool side. Obviously very popular given the number of people there. Parking is just on the roadside. Staff were fun and friendly very chill service and down to earth. They have a few variety of tasty looking bakery sweets too. Dining area aswell. Pies we bought were the palusami, hangi, beef bolognaise which I believe is just a mince and cheese pie, the lamb with Samoan koko I think and the salmon with cream cheese slice. The pastry was ok and the pies were just above $8 each. But definitely a good place for the experience as you won't find these sort of pies just anywhere.
C.
Pies with island and kiwi flavours. Real gem, indoor and outdoor seating. Amazing menu. Cafe is very authentic food with some kiwi and island twists. Good food, friendly, relaxed staff and real food. Great cafe! Caters too!!!
j.
We were looking for the best place to have breakfast in Auckland. The blue rose did not disappoint. The food was incredible, service was great and the atmosphere was lovely. I would recommend after breakfast getting a few pies to take home for later (they are huge and packed full).
S.
As per recommendation from a friend. Just happened to cruise by and stop to see what the fuss was all about. Cute little shop, greeted by warm smiles and the aroma of freshly baked pastry. Tried the palusami & corned beef pie with a can of golden circle to wash down with.
Took one bite and had to pull over as this pie caught my attention. Not the usual big ben pie smash while driving, this pie demanded respect.
Top notch, well designed, full of flavour. Every bite was on point. Worth the 7 bucks will be back to try the Hanging pie and other varieties next.
Photos don't do justice get there and try for yourself
D.
Tasty food! Big breakfast is actually a big break! Pies are delicious too. Friendly people, need a vaccination pass tho... Otherwise I would recommend.
C.
Best Polynesian pies in the known UNIVERSE. BoilUp. Palusami. BrisketCheese.MinceCheese.
Mmmmmyum.
A.
Finally made a visit to this awesome Cafe yesterday, did arrive well after lunch so was limited on pie selection, as I had my heart set on trying the Hangi Pie, but I choose the Boil up pie and my son had the Palusami, WOW not disappointed at all! Both pies were amazing full of flavor, beautiful golden pastry and size was top notch. Would definitely make the 40min drive again for this awesome cafe, and the service was
Amazing.
A.
Beautiful Polynesian food, everything on the menu is super tasty!! The sweet cabinet is amazing too, everything made with love. All the pies are delicious and my favorite thing to order is the luau and taro and the oka, reminds me of Samoa. The mango smoothie is amazing and it's dairy free too! Options to cater to many, even if you didn't feel like Polynesian cuisine, the eggs Benedict is great. Great value for your money, but this place is very popular so it does get busy and only small cafe so early bird gets a seat! If you are vegan and wanting to try poly food the luau and taro is a must!
V.
The hangi pie is amazing - first bite of gravy and stuffing, I'm in heaven.
He tried mussels fritters - too good not to share. Will be back.
The plates on the wall remind me of one of my Auntie's house.
D.
First time having a Palusami Pie , which was different but enjoyed it . Very homey vibe which I liked . And I hope this buisness flourishes in the future despite covid . 🙌🏽
k.
I wish I could give more stars. We drove from East Auckland and so worth it. We purchased 4 pies - they are delicious and worth every cent
We also purchased a ginger slice and a piece of Magic slice( best slice I have had)both were so yummy
Service with a smile makes such a difference.
T.
Can't think of a better Cafe close to West I'd rather go to eat. Lovely staff. Brought a Palusami pie back for the husband(he said yum that was so good) great job Blue Rose you have it right.
C.
So glad we chose to have our Mothers Day breakfast here! Can't fault the Blue Rose team one bit, so friendly, accommodating & personable. Atmosphere is a happy, relaxed space. Food is delicious & man these pies are good!
Tee suggested the pork belly eggs bene & it was bomb! We'll be back for sure..
H.
I managed to get in this morning early enough to try their pies! Trust me when I say you’ll never go anywhere else again! A normal M&C or S&C won’t cut it anymore after this 🤌 full of flavour, awesome customer service and a great looking place. If I’ve only tried the pies, I can only imagine how good their dine-in menu is. told my whanau & friends where to find you so expect an even bigger queue from now lol.
C.
We were able to finally visit this place today, food was ok we got the Pork Belly/Salmon Eggs Benedict . Was very disappointed when the eggs were all over cooked and the scone wasn't cooked well through so it was quite doughy. Salmon looked as if it had been sitting in the fridge for to long with its extremely dark chewy texture. I went in with my friend and our daughters . We ordered 2 Eggs Benedict , 2 pies to takeaway , wedges & polenta Nutella toast for my daughter and the waiter rudely said "oh is this just for the two of you?" which is exactly what you want to hear from people that work here. Lol Have heard so many good things about this place but didn't taste any of that today. Lady with the short hair was so lovely and accommodating though so she made our visit worthwhile.
T.
Ex chef and foodie here and I recommend NOT going to this place!!!....because once you try their food you will want to keep coming back- I have just discovered it and the food looks gorgeous and is DELICIOUS! It was hard for me to decide what to get because ALL of the display food looked amazing so I asked the lovely lady serving what she recommended and she was a great help. I bought a hangi pie and poli sami pie and the pastry was sweet and buttery pastry and the filling is piled in and spot on! Also had a donut- usually not a fan of yeast donuts but these were excellent, had a lovely weight to it and was well proved. So good. Would rate both pies and donuts amongst top 3, I have eaten. Prices are super good too and the lovely counter lady gave me a free wee cupcake! If you are on a diet don't come here because you won't leave without buying 4 or 5 items this place is that good! Will def be back again...and again lol!
K.
Fantastic food, if you love Island food this is the place to go. Awesome helpful staff who go out of their way to help. Loved the pie selection. Highly recommend this place.
h.
First time. Good food and staff. There were times were the staff forgot some of our order. They did run out on some of the pies.
S.
Best pies in Auckland! The koko cupcake is heavenly too. They definitely live up to their award winning status.
J.
A must visit for me when i'm in Auckland. I always try and schedule a work meeting at Blue Rose. Great service and delicious food. I always have the porridge if i'm there in the morning (yes I know, why order porridge when I can make it at home, I just love their porridge when i'm travelling). But you can never go wrong with the island plate.
R.
Went here with the gang for a mid-Easter lunch and while the wait was a little long it was well worth it and we had a fantastic time. I also tried their blueberry tea and it was such a joy! Come visit for a sweet home cafe
T.
Yum!!! This place sells amazing pies. We got the hangi, boil up and palusami pie. They were all so yum and really filling too. The boil up one was probably one of my favorites (made with bacon bone meat 😍). The hangi pie had everything a hangi should too.
I was quite impressed with how much was inside that pie.
Kids chose a mudcake type of dessert and that was great too.
Highly recommend checking it out.
D.
Mean place for a Maori or pacific island inspired pies 10 out of 10. Mean hearty flavours and something close to home. Not far from the intersection of Sandringham Rd and St lukes Rd. Perfect place for the Whanua out the back it the covered garden area. With the open kitchen hideing nothing. Need that boil up pie when not sold out.
R.
Favorite pie boil up, need more white sauce less smoke fish in the smoke fish pie and more coconut sauce less meat palusami pie. Wish the doughnuts weren't coated with sugar
C.
Loved the polynesian pies. Could do with less meat and more of the other ingrediants. Example the palusami pie could have more palusami and onions in the corned beef add taro in it. Otherwise love all the pies.
A.
Even pie isn't your thing this place will convert you. Delicious Palusami & Hangi pies ⭐👍💋. We sat at the outdoor courtyard with lovely baby plants surrounding us. coffee is alright. Staff seem busy but friendly.. and happy; heard one of them singing a bit.
Willl come back with Island Plate with Lu'au & ika mata / Oka and perhaps Koko Samoa cakes.
A.
This place is a must when your in the area, The owners and staff are extremely down to earth. Their palusami pie was amazing, next on the list will be the hangi and luau pie. Its no wonder these guys won the awards, well deserved and their food is super tasty. Never would of thought of a palusami, hangi or luau pie existed. You guys will go onto bigger and better things in the years to come.
E.
Thank you for bringing your authentic pacific and Maori recipes for everyone to access and enjoy. I've never tasted food like this and it was such a nice change to the typical cafe food I normally get (e.g. eggs benny) I got the hangi pie and I was SO DELICIOUS. For me, the hallmark of a good pie is the texture of the pastry. I don't have the right terminology to describe how good the pastry was, but it was just perfect and everyone should try this pie!!!!
Your staff are such warm and welcoming people and I really loved the interior design. It definitely gave off vibes of a family owned business, and I love seeing that and supporting that! ❤ One thing I was dissapointed by was the physical copies of the menu. It just looked sad and boring compared to the interior design of your cafe and food. But it's no big deal. Thank you again and I hope your business wasn't too affected by COVID-19!
A.
We had a lovely breakfast this morning at Blue Rose. Nice to find a Pacifica eatery in the city for a change. The go-to of course is Palusami pie; taro leaves with corned beef was super interesting all wrapped inside a superbly flaky pastry. The Mrs loved their Hangi pie too, and followed up with Koko Samoan cupcake - mildly coconut flavored, went well with coffee. Highly recommended and must visit.
g.
Hangi pie anyone? How about a boil up pie? Maybe a massive sausage roll ? The pies are very big too.
They are waiting for you , don't delay.
V.
Beautiful service and food was delicious overall perfect
E.
Palusami pie had way more corn beef than palusami. It was tasty and pastry was on point.
C.
The food was amazing, I've never had a hangi pie or palusami pie before but I have had those dishes how they are usually made, but these pies were truly something else, just absolutely delicious, I had pork belly Eggs Benedict and that was amazing aswell, I have already recommended this place to a few friends already and they too are hooked, thank you so much for such a awesome Kai. I would say they served it up pretty good, presentation wasn't 5 star but the food definitely made up for that😉, I'd say Soul Food Chic!! Thanks so much for the Kai reka!
T.
Beautiful service. Absolute best pie ever!!!! Raw fish amazing! Come here from pukekohe to try these bad boys and will defz be back to try more soon!! Saw this place on a youtube review😋reka as fam!!!
S.
My favourite cafe to visit in Auckland. Why? Because they serve delicious food, with a Pacific Islands influence - soul food for an islander. Palusami pie, lu'au pie, big breakfast with a side of pork belly, omelette with lu'au, boil-up pie. And it goes on. Great coffee, nostalgic family atmosphere, great service. Will be bringing my family back here for a special Saturday brunch asap.
V.
They have interesting flavoured pies and the coffee is good. If you order from the breakfast menu is pretty standard and lacks seasoning. There isn't much depth of flavour. Service is average.
S.
Great staff, yummy amazing food. Very nice place. Has an awesome outdoor eating area as well.
K.
Best kept secret in Auckland! The kai is GOOD! They have items on their menu I haven't seen anywhere else! Def going back!
H.
My favorite cafe in Auckland so far! Absolutely incredible coffee, pies and meals. Authentic food that leaves you happy and satisfied. So many cafes are overpriced with mediocre pastries - not this place. Will absolutely be coming back!!!
T.
Great food and service always. Love the owners and staff. Hangi pie is my fav :)
S.
Yummy food, the palusami pie is out of this world. Always our go-to. Love the bacon & egg pie too.
L.
Staff was friendly and the food was devine. Their mini chocolate cupcakes are so yum.
s.
We had the Palusami pie and Lamb pie and topped it off with a koko cupcake 👏👌 Deelishimoso!
L.
Pies on point - Palusami & Pisupo, Hangi and Vegan Palusami. Service is why I didn't give 5 stars. Smiles and warm greetings really do make a difference to customer experience.
R.
Family favorite for their pies and sweet treats. Have visited a few times and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. It does get busy sometimes so they might sell out of certain pies. It pays to go early, with so many different flavored pies and cakes, you'll just have to try each one for yourself.
K.
The bacon and egg quiche + the koko samoa cup - cakes were delicious .. 😋
P.
First time here and I loved it, oh my gosh amazing place. I heard about this cafe but never stopped her as I live out West. Had a meeting here and it was perfect. Very relaxed homely feeling. Its like I was at my family village in Samoa. Lots of different people, great mixture of cultures, diverse and very relaxed. I will be coming back soon. Thank you to all the staff, you are all awesome 🥰 highly recommended 💯 💚❤💚
U.
OMG the Lu pie soooooooooo GOOD!!! Not to mention the Koko Samoa Cupcakes mmmm delicious
D.
The food is amazing & delicious, the pies, coffee, dessert & savouries - YUM!!!! The cafe is warm & homely, such friendly staff, smiles all around! Reasonably priced & the portions are very generous, love coming here & will keep returning! Thank you!!! Highly recommended..
F.
First time having a palusami pie. Now I can't stop. Ordered more to go to family in Invercargill. Just lovely. 😋💕
B.
If you want a serious pie, with filling and pastry to satisfy most tastes, it's here. The extra you pay is well worth it.
Savory heaven. Arrive hungry !
My choice eat in, cozy and friendly.
R.
Good vegetarian options. Loved the taro leaves pie. Amazing cakes!
A.
1st time customer. Just bought yr palusami pie ( and others!). Let me just say that u nailed this one for perfect combo of not too flaky pastry with generous corned beef filling and taro leaves mixed with right amount of coconut cream. Def coming back. Taste of home in a perfect package. Meitaki maata well done Blue Rose!
a.
Love this shop, food it so good and i go here often my favorite pies hangi pie and boilup pie even a great breakfast 10 ßtars friendly and great food selection
F.
Best pies ever, the most moist Koko cupcakes in all of Auckland. Literally my favorite place and the blue rose wallpaper is just 😍.. cute little slice of Pacific heaven
V.
OMG!! The food is sooooo good here! I had the mussel fritters and they were some of the best I've ever had.
Staff are so friendly, it's like walking into your friend's house. Happy, singing and service is fast. Definitely going back again.
J.
Every plate of food I saw come out of the kitchen looked amazing! My meal was delicious and I even got one of their pies to take home to great up later. So so yum!! Super relaxed and welcoming vibe. Will go again for sure!
M.
Came here yesterday morning with my youth group. The staff were so friendly! They really made us feel at home and the food was scrumptious.
Those Koko Samoa cupcakes were divine. We had to buy some more to take home. It’s a MUST! Thank you Blue Rose for the warm and loving hospitality. ♥️♥️♥️
R.
All I have had from here is two of their pies. They aren't cheap but they are totally worth it. They are a good size, the pastry is very well done. As for the filling, they were both superb. I am not normally a fan of a smoked fish pie, often too much sauce and not enough fish, but this was amazing, very probably the best I have ever had. The beef bolognaise was also very nice.
A.
I swear, the best pies in Auckland. Love the Hangi pies
J.
Always go for the corn beef pie and walk out with that plus the hangi and the boil up pie. Cant forget the snickers milkshake to wash down all that goodness
K.
Fantastic dining experience with wonderful food may they expand to everywhere in the country loved it. Had mussel fritters and salad, my mate had the mixed grill superb kai I don't think there is anyone else out there like this place you just have to try it. We also got 2 x hangi pies to takeaway so can't wait. Go visit soo great kai and great service thank you
P.
Food came cold. The sizes of the plates dont fit the table if theres 4 or more people. I do have to say the atmosphere is amazing, regret not trying the pies as they look delicious.
M.
Very friendly staff. Very laid back, unpretentious environment. Delicious baking, good coffee. Unfortunately we missed their pies (our main reason for visiting) because they'd sold out. Will have to get in earlier next time. Enjoyed our meals, good old school P.I. comfort food. The kids loved their smoothies. Will be going back earlier next time to make sure we get a pie.
J.
Food looked really good! Cookies smelled divine. Unfortunately I didn't have a big appetite to eat more. Its definitely a kind if "at home" atmosphere, which I kind of enjoy. Its very comfortable. The prices do seem a little high for what you get, but some of the other items are reasonable.
S.
Great spot, awesome service and food is quality, oh the coffee is good too!
A.
Really yum food! I had the Pancakes, Omelette with Bacon and Hashbrowns. Really simplistic food nothing too fancy but super tasty and homey.
E.
Love 😍 the family Kiwi/Pacific Vibes! Great atmosphere and Delicious Kai. Definitely worthy of a visit. Only if u are up for the addictive factor should u step into this café.
J.
Very well run little eaterie. Excellent food/portions. Pies and other eat there dishes have Maori/Pacific island flavours,
like their Hangi or Boil up pies.
But not all of the goodies are like that, there's other treats to have for everybody's taste.
To eat in has a nice atmosphere, its coffee good and the prices are very reasonable. The staff friendly and know what they doing as it can get a bit busy in their little old worldly shop and eat in. It's fairly well out of my area but Ill have no problem going there especially on the weekends. Give the menu viewing and if you like what you see I'm sure you enjoy your selection of eats. The pies have first-rate flavours and are of a good size. Yep give this place a go. Enjoy.
A.
Loved this place. Great vibe, amazing food 👍👍
김.
Delicious Samoan fusion dishes are so unique. The pies are so good. A Big plate of food filled me up, and the service was good.
M.
Nice feel to the place. Loved that we got a generous amount of sour cream for our wedges. First time ever!
Love the pies, very filling especially the cornbeef one, and the flavours were delicious! Would totally go to this place again. ❤️❤️
A.
Great vibe, the staff are so friendly and makes it feel like you're just having a feed at a families house. The food is just as good as the vibe 👌🏾
R.
Great vibes, funky but cool set up, yummy food and friendly service. Definitely bringing the family here. 😊
E.
Blue Rose cafe always come through! They did my birthday cake during level 3 in May and put on high tea for a low key baby shower for one of my family members during level 2.5 in September. The food is good, the coffee is amazing and the service is bomb as. Family members who had never been before this high tea loved the food esp the Koko Samoa cupcakes. Thank you Blue Rose!!
J.
Excellent Samoan/Maori food. My favourite is the Luau & Taro, tastes like it was straight out of an umu, in Samoa.
The pies are something else, they are a meal on there own.
Try the Palusami and Cornbeef Pie, delicious, or the other favourite, the Smoked Fish Pie
Highly recommended to all.
C.
After discovering this place, we have had to keep coming back. Coffee, great, Food, amazing. Service, warm and friendly! Must tries are the eggs benedict (choose the pork belly) and the pies and sausage rolls are definitely next level!! I’d definitely recommend this place a hundred times over! One of Auckland’s best kept secrets!!
L.
Food is always great here. Eggs Benedict always a crowd pleaser. You can't help but buy more from the cabinet as you leave. Recommend koko cupcakes, brioche and Palusami&cornbeef pie😍😍 Our go to for team meetings👍👍
J.
I love the point of difference this amazing cafe has. We had the island plate and big breakfast...they are both delicious and huge portions. Great friendly staff, nice clean premesis and if it was sunny the back porch seating area is great. Would totally recommend. Will definitely go back to try the pies ☺
R.
If ever your looking for good homemade plate of Harty food. The blue rose is the place to go! It may look like a fancy Cafe, but beneath it's beauty is a hidden gem 💎 the kitchen chef! Amazing place to go truly!
T.
I love my corned beef luau pies😀😀
C.
Good old fashion tucker. Couldn't believe how most and Tasty the muffins were. I wish I was a bit more adventurous and ordered the mussel fritters they looked like they were straight out of my Nan's fry pan. The corn beef pie took me back to the 80s. Be warned this food is not for the fainthearted light calorie watchers.
E.
Excellent food, love the island pies plus the plated food taste amazing and island portion size lol
Warm, cozy and friendliest staff. Well recommend.
L.
The Pasifika fused meal was delicious
m.
First time experience today and loved it food was great and service was Amazing 💯
J.
Awesome food and really friendly staff
A.
The food, the staff , great relaxing place.
t.
Omg soooo good. Just had the luau pie and the blueberry pancakes with coconut yoghurt and berries. Plus a brownie to takeaway. The lady who served us made us feel very welcome, she was very friendly and helpful. Yummy food and great service! Thanks so much!
J.
Had the Palusami pie and it was Devine!
Loved the ambience of the place. They got my coffee order wrong which pmo, and they were super busy which made me wait approx 3mins standing at counter to pay for my food.
Other than, first time there amd was quite impressed with service and food.
I.
Great service & great food! I'll be going back to try the other pies.
M.
Best Best Best pies ever! It's like having a home made food wrapped in delicious pastry ... worth the 30mins traveling to grab some went twice in a week thats how amazing this place is
A.
Cool little cafe, love the decor and the family pictures. The staff are super friendly, I keep coming back for the Koko Samoa cupcakes or chocolate cake and the Palusami pie! Coffee is great and one time we had the big brekkie and it was awesome! I don’t live in the neighbourhood but I find any reason to go that way so I can pop in.
R.
Historic Pacific cafe in Auckland. They had run out of palusami pies and didn't have many nice sweet options left the day I visited. However, the service was great and the palusami and taro from the menu was delicious and a good filling meal at $8.50. Will return to try many more of the menu options and delicacies on offer
M.
Husband n daughter tried both pies I purchased😊😊 "hangi and boil up" loved the boil up🤜🤛 but prefer hangi as a hangi not in a pie, coffee was made well🙌🙌
F.
I'm so glad my cousin Paula got our family to meet here for brunch today. Everyone was friendly, the food was down right Amazing! The prices were reasonable. I am coming back for sure! 10 stars.
V.
I love this place. Ive been to hundreds of cafes in Auckland and other cities, this little gem is the best cafe by far. The food is all home made...I can taste the difference. My whole family comes to eat here! Eggs Bene...omg...real ham off the bone...or pork belly...no cheap cuts here. The service is so friendly!! try this place...they even have hangi pie!! what an awesome place!! 5 min walk from St Lukes mall.
g.
Best Brunch in here!! that is Amazing meal,we haven the steak, eggandchip and scramble egg that was delicious!!! specially the creamy mushroom and the garlic bread is awesome!!! We will be back here again and again, staff was friendly and kind, price is real for the food ! love it 💗🥰
K.
This is the kind of place you could easily walk right past without noticing, the ambience feels like you're going to brunch at a friend's house rather than the slick and polished Auckland eateries most are used to. But there's something nice about that, and the food is AMAZING - big call, but I think the eggs bene with pork belly may be the best I've ever had! Definitely give it a try!
M.
Menu is amazing. Eggs Benedict was delicious. Palusami pie & Koko cupcakes is the bomb. Would definitely come back here 👌
T.
It's small but it's tables have enough space between them. We visited at about 2.15pm and there wasn't much of a selection of counter foods. The woman at the counter must have been tired as her manner was not very interested in us but the reason for going was the palusami pies. So we ordered despite her and it was worthy it. The pies and slices were wonderful! I totally recommend the corned beef and palusami pies and sweets! Served hot by a lovely man, they were pies with wonderful light flaky pastry and a tasty non greasy filling. Totally recommend a visit ...earlier in the day maybe best.
N.
I had their Lu'au and cream cheese pie - so freaking good. And a couple of banana smoothies which were right on point. Nice friendly folk, go eat there.
T.
Came specifically for the pies, and they're pretty damn good. Would be nice if they were ready to go rather than heating to order. Staff aren't overly warm or customer service-y.
T.
Food and company was awesome. Food could've been better in my opinion. Palusami was under cooked and the pork was over cooked. But the raw fish and mayonis was delicious.
P.
Everything is delicious, from the coffee to the pies to the bread they use for toast. Was sceptical about the hangi and luau pies but the flavours are EXACTLY how they should be, these guys know what they're doing. I bought a bunch of pies to take home 👌🏼
P.S the old school playlist is 🔥🔥
M.
Had lunch here in Mother's Day with my family. The food was okay, but waited for a very long time before our food arrived followed by an apology for the late delivery. On busy days, best to employ more kitchen hands and Cooks. Would I recommend this place? Yes... suitable for take aways or pre order if in a hurry. ☺
S.
Where is the 10 star at. Mate said to check out this place and man they got the goods🙌 worth the travel awsome staff will be back for sure💪🍮🍰🥧

My husband and I visited this cafe and our meal was great. We both found that the seating for this establishment was ok but not something we would recommend ourselves. Totally loved the padded seating against the wall and the chair at each table but, pretty much saying, a low stool is quite uncomfortable to be sitting on to eat and not that great for posture for any one really, but also not that great for the "larger" customer as we witnessed, ( they were as one would say, "too small for a larger person" :(
Other than that, the staff were absolutely wonderful with how they approached, welcomed and communicated with customers.
Yes Blue Rose, we will for sure return to your cafe.
All the best :) :) :)
M.
Great place, first time today. Great food and the staff member Tee with the vocals👌🏾.
Music was awesome as well
E.
I consider myself to be a local as I often have business meetings and eat there at least three times a week. Their food is beautifully prepared with love and you will experience it when you Indulge in the abundance of Blue Rose. If you havent already then you are missing out on the taste of greater Polynesia.
l.
I fully reccomend this joint, love the great vibes, staff are very helpful awesome hospitality, the Eggs Beni on Pork Belly and Kumara Hash and Hollandaise Sauce. My partner Janelle Baker enjoyed her Egg Omelette with Lua'au & Palusami, This is our New Breakfast Joint from here on in.... Thank You for the Luaau Pie. And the Koko Kupcake.....
S.
Kids absolutely loved the waffles and the island plate was so delicious. Coffee was ok but overall an excellent breakfast. Highlight was the oka. 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
C.
Took a long time to get seated. Then another long wait to order. There were only 2 other tables occupied which made us wonder why such long waits. Cramped seating. Plates were smaller than other cafes. Food was okay. Underwhelming experience for $45.
R.
In an unimaginable time, Robbie and his team catered to my brother's funeral back in April 2019 for 300+ people.
The food was UNBELIEVABLY amazing. Fresh, delicious assortments of savory and sweet. So much food at an unbeatable price and on time delivery. Words can not express how grateful we were to have you cater for us on this day.
Thank you again and can not reccomend you and your team more. Simply OUTSTANDING!
J.

An awesome place to take your family, with extremely good food and outstanding customer service. I would highly recommend this place to all, good for one person, a couple and even a family. They also have an outdoor seating as well as the normal indoor restaurant seating. Highly recommend to all.
M.
Wow, attractive old fashioned on trend cafe. Deliciously made Luau pie, had to have a 2nd and seriously thinking of ordering a few more for Christmas. Great flat white to wash it down and tasty koko samoa cupcakes. Checked out the menu online after I had left and looking forward to returning, to try out more delicious tastes of old traditional cooking mixed with the new flavours of today. Well done to the owners and team @ Blue Rose. Highly recommended. Salivating at the thought of my return!! Yes ok too much info!!
P.

Blue Rose was highly recommended by a friend of mine. This morn was my first time visiting with her and I was very pleased with my experience. Excellent service and amazing food. 10/10
T.
Went in to grab a coffee and came out with a lot more as everything looked really good. Counter person was very patient and I didn't feel rushed as I unexpectedly had to make up my mind. Would be worth updating outdoor signage so name and coffee stands out as i was following map directions to closest coffee place and still went past it.
C.

This is my family's favourite Cafe. Island food, good vibes, and a family orientated business. We first came here 3 years ago and have been regulars since.
Food has been great most of the time (if you want your pies, best to come early, first in first served). I haven't had a truly bad experience but I will admit, service I had this week for my catering order was not great. When people walk into your cafe you greet them to their face, and don't just shout out "what are you after" as you're looking down doing something. No eye contact and i dont exactly feel comfortable shouting back to you. Staff are generally good, we get the homely vibes, but the bigger the business expands the more professionalism is needed. Customer service needs work. It's part of the experience, no matter how good the food, the service will affect ratings too hence the 4/5 stars
