G.Stopped by on a busy ANZAC day, nonetheless staff were very helpful and the order came out surprisingly quickly. Eggs Benedict is good and artfully presented. Ample room both inside and out.
L.Upon arrival, greeted by the wonderful FOH staff who were very friendly and helpful, the customer service was exceptional which I don’t understand why they got bad reviews in the past, glad we had the nicest girls serving us. The food was very delicious and was fairly priced In terms of competition in the area. I would definitely recommend coming to this great cafe. Thanks guys
T.Just got home and very hungry, so ordered a late lunch from them. I went around to pick it up and it was ready (very prompt). The food was very nice, warm and fresh. I will definitely return there again. Highly recommended.
N.The ice coffee was one of the best in Auckland my hubby has tried. He had asked for his steak medium rare and it came well done. I liked the hot chocolate, my eggs bene on sourdough was delicious. I loved the touch or beetroot sauce. It was packed with many different flavours, which were great but it drowned the hollandaise flavour.
T.Following a boozy night out in the city, we ended up at Brick By Brick for a much needed brunch to reorient ourselves.
Staff was very attentive and the seasonal menu was very impressive. We ordered the BBB omelette, steak and chips and the Japanese calamari with a side of scrambled eggs with coffees and a smoothie. The food was absolutely delicious and exactly what the doctor ordered! Highly recommended!

T.Was okay... pretty good food. Small amount of tomato sauce for all the good chips... quite a few tables that were left dirty so that we couldn’t sit there... service was attentive. Pretty neat decor apart from the lighting that needs a redo.
T.Pleasantly surprised by breakfast from Uber Eats Restaurant Brick by Brick. I thought it would have been warm but it was hot and definitely a big breakfast I couldn't eat alone! Coffee was perfect made with almond milk. My only regret was ordering small instead of large.
I'll definitely be back again.

A.My favourite option is the Stay Fit Breakfast, because it has lots of different choices on one plate. I also like that there is plenty of daylight coming in through the windows, which makes the place friendly and welcoming. I have always been happy with the service and will keep going back.

Menu has some unique offerings Beetroot Hollandaise!! so I had the Eggs Benedict which was good.
Coffee was smooth and soy milk wasn't burnt :) perfectly done.
Wife tried corn fritters which she enjoyed but found it a bit dry so asked for some relish.

T.Nice friendly service. We weren't so hungary so they allowed us to split a standard meal between two. Opened multiple doors both sides so good flow of fresh air inside on a hot day.
A.What a wonderful surprise! Don't be fooled by the unassuming appearance, the food here is top notch. We ate the jerk chicken and salmon salad and it was the best cafe food experience in living memory. Will be back for sure!
f.Great place, friendly attentive staff. Fast service. Food is tasty. I had the jerk chicken, amazing flavour! On the menu it reads served with seasoned potatoes but it came with stock standard fried wedges, which is fine but I was disappointed only cos I was looking forward to and expecting seasoned potato prepared from scratch. But we all loved the food and flavours. Recomend.

Adjacent to Tin Tacks Reserve in Onehunga, there is a children's playground nearby and plenty of parking in surrounding streets.
A nice cafe for breakfast, lunch, or just stopping in for a coffee. It seems to be a favourite for locals who like to stop in during the day and caffeinate while working on their laptops.
A.Such a great place to visit! Three of us visited for brunch and a beer. We each had the big breakfast with (1) fried eggs with sourdough (2) scrambled with garlic bread and (3) poached eggs with Vogel’s. All eggs were perfectly cooked and the breads toasted well. We will definitely be back to try other meals. The staff were really friendly too, really helpful and made sure we were looked after. Great place!
A.Unprepossessing outside, but spacious & light inside. Plus some outdoor seating. Beside a little reserve. Good coffee. Friendly welcoming staff. Good range of cabinet food. (Didn't look at menu.)
P.I don't know why Brick by Brick isn't more popular. It has parking nearby, or is an easy walk from central Onehunga. There is a playground nearby (but not too close to be annoying). The staff are super-friendly. The coffee is good value, and enjoyable. There's outdoor seating for a sunny day. Service is consistently good. It's always clean.
And yet it doesn't seem to have the profile, or crowds of other cafes.
Maybe it's because it doesn't cater to the 6am crowd. Maybe because it doesn't have the right signs. Maybe because people are always busy as they go past. Maybeit is becauseit has weird quirks...i don't know.
But if you do want dependable, friendly, relaxed, good value to meet up with friends in Onehunga, Brick by Brick is just the place.
U.9Jun17 Two years ago this cafe was under different management. Now the cafe is run by an professional young Indian woman with a customer friendly and charming approach combined with good service. Nothing is too much trouble. Try a tub of ice cream - refreshing and extremely good quality Kiwi product. Kapiti I think? Great coffee too. Plenty of parking outside off the road.
C.Coffee nice, nothing special. Clean toilets. Why are cafes so tight with their serviettes? Always nice to be able to wipe your mouth with one after a flat white or mocha.
