Reviews of Crave

Food was delicious. Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked. Smokey aioli was great. Despite forgetting our drinks, it was easily remedied by one of the hosts, who was really nice and dealt with the situation professionally and kindly. Unique decor. Just a heads up that it's kinda tricky finding a parking spot if you want to dine in.
K.
Not our best experience for brunch yesterday.
Food looks nice but doesn’t taste nice.
Coffee: was good
Avocado toast: for some reason avocado was sweet and creamy and the toast was hard and too crispy to cut into.
Prawn ravioli: tasted like seafood sauce with bland flavour.
Only thing tasted delicious other than the coffee was the side of grilled halloumi
Please do a taste run of your menu.
Would definitely not go again.
A.
Amazing decor and lovely staff. I have a massive sweet tooth and their French toast was the perfect thing for it. 100% will go back for more. Their smoothies are so good too!
d.
I had big hopes for this cafe, because they put the profits back into the local community but was left a little flat by the experience.
The atmosphere is great, very lively and the design features alone will keep your interest.
However, the food, although perfectly edible, was a little uninspiring. Presentation on the plate is a little dull, and the food could be easily achieved at home and probably tastier. It just wasn't special, and nothing that would seperate them from other eateries.
On the plus side the staff were attentive, but not overly, efficient and friendly.

I’ve been here for years, and upon my recent return from London, I found that their salmon eggs Benedict still uphold the best taste - I’m a big fan of the rosti for the base compared to sourdough/muffins. The portion is just right for one person and all the sauces compliments. Highly recommend Crave as a spot to fix your brunch needs!
C.
Great tasty, yummy food and friendly, efficient service. Will happily be returning again. Had the mushroom medley and my partner had the chilli omlette.
L.
I love the ambience, I love the deco, I love the food and I love the coffee, I also love the idea behind why the owner started this cafe.💜
However I wouldn’t recommend the egg benny with salmon… the puree was quite sweet whereas the salmon was very salty, the two didn’t really go well in my opinion.
Though the portion of the food seemed to be reduced in my most recent visit. I’d still visit again to support the owner and the community. Overall, great cafe and great experience.
B.
One of my favourite Café, and never disappointed me ever😍
Delivery food fast and hight standard every single time, don't know how they can do it.
D.
Crazy busy cafe and luckily got a seat outside. Service was quick and service wasn’t too bad. Food and chocolate oat cookies wasn’t bad 8/10.
Maybe need a sign for customers not to walk into the kitchen area! Just a bit confusing when I walked back into restaurant, I accidentally walked into the kitchen /serving lane as it looks like a shared wide lane for customers as well . Just felt so bad when a line servers walked in and trying to serve food and out dirty dishes back.
J.
One of my top 3 cafes in Auckland. Consistently excellent food, great environment. Service is good but being a collaborate, I forgive it not being top notch. Really cool back story to how they ended up there.
Highly recommended.
J.
Good place for breakfast in Morningside, chilli scrambled eggs and bacon eggs benedict. Good atmosphere. Would go back
E.
I did a google search for the best breaky in Auckland and this place came up. I can concur that this place serves up some really good grub and some quality coffee. The food was wholesome and tasty, and my plate was so full that I couldn’t even finish it all. The space is super funky with some antique toys, sculptures and some beautiful wall art. In addition, they’re a for purpose restaurant that gives all profits back to the community - how could you not want to visit and support this place?
bathrooms are pretty cool, too.
P.
Café with very nice dish selection. Professional and fast service. Very clean and tidy. It's popular place so might be full in peak hours.
L.
tasty food. wonderful service. this fella called scott was serving me and he did a great job. was very kind and even complimented my earrings. 10/10 will be coming back!!!!!!!
R.
Epic cafe with a pleasant ambience, fairly large and always busy. I would recommend the Fungi Breakfast and the Bacon Eggs Benedict, which are both excellent classics. I have to say the eggs Benedict is probably one of the best in Auckland. The cold press orange juice is always good too. Parking can sometimes be an issue, so come early.
J.
Incredible space, food, atmosphere, and coffee! Smiley service bringing an amazing brunch experience
M.
Decent menu. Avoid going when it's really busy. I waited over an hour after I ordered to be told the order had been forgotten. They gave me my coffee on the house. I will be back on a less busy day
J.
The cafe was fully packed with customers but had a great service from the staff. We did have to wait quite a bit but was worth it. Loved the decorations on my plate. Recommended for a dine out. Does not have allocated car-parking and had competitive car parking spots in the weekend as there were other cafes who offered off road parking.
C.
Crave never disappoints! I usually go for the French toast but this time decided to have the Benediction with bacon and wow! No complaints or regrets 😋
J.
It is a very popular cafe. Be prepared if you are going during peak time :)
My friends and I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere there. I’ve been there 3 times now. Had King Salmon Benedict twice and yesterday I tried the chicken on bread dish (forgot the name and the Menu on Zomato is outdated). Would love to try other dishes in the menu too. Maybe next one will be Falafel or Egg Benedict with bacon.
H.
Food was nicely plated and looked very beautiful! Looks didnt deceive as the French Toast looked and tasted heavenly! All of the ingredients on the plate complemented each other and was very filling!
Very nice ambience too!
B.
Came by when it was raining and it was packed. Had to wait about 15 minutes to get a table. we were seated outside and even though it was raining it didn't get wet. Once we had menus they came by quite often to check if we were ready to order drinks and food. After ordering it didn't take too long for the food to come out. I had the fungi medley with bacon and it was quite nice. The mushrooms were really tasty and the potato hash was more of a gratin. The service was efficient and friendly. The food was also quite nice. i can see why it is busy.
m.
Great ambiance and great food. We’ve tried their take on egg’s benny and the Brioche French toast both of which were such a delight to the taste buds - not to mention, the eclectic prezo. We’ll definitely be back here for another amazing brekkie experience.
B.
Love the food. Not to mentioned the portion and price is just right 👌. Friendly staff and good open space dining experience 😀
A.
Great service, delicious food and fantastic coffee.
Not pricey. Highly recommended.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
L.
This place has amazing breakfast and coffee’s. The cappuccinos here are absolutely delicious. I also really like the avocado toast as well as the egg dishes.
A.
Great food and presentation! Loved the sourdough bread. I got the “Don’t be an Egg” and the coconut tandoori sauce was such a nice touch. My friend got the smashed avo on sour bread and it was COVERED in avo and hummus. The decor and the atmosphere was so pleasant and what made me decide on 5 stars.
G.
Wow.. what a great and spacious eatery. Vibrant place with modern deco to hang out and have a feed. Plenty of seatings in the sun. Friendly service and the food was de-li-cious, yum 😋 especially the fettuccine carbonara. Thank you and we will definitely return for a dinner feed.
K.
Very unique cafe with very cool interior and beautiful food great coffee and friendly staff. A must go to place and check out the impressive selection of collectables. Great upstairs area to open up your laptop and get some things achieved while enjoying a coffee. Also upstairs is a meeting room for those who want to meet with clients etc out of the office.
T.
I learned about Crave in Morningside from an online article about the number of patrons who had dined and dashed one Saturday and upon looking up the cafe online, it was saddening to also learn that the cafe is run by a collective of locals.
Having easily found Crave nearby to train station, I was immediately impressed by the bustling ambiance and stunning interior of the cafe. With gorgeous high ceilings and an industrial chic feel adorned with kitschy wooden furniture I was excited to view the menu beyond eying the gorgeous food laden cabinets of savoury and sweet treats.
I ordered the roast chicken breast with Cajun roasted vegetables in coconut and a green smoothie. I loved my dish and beverage and look forward to revisiting. Staff ensured that I was well watered and service was prompt and efficient. Highly recommended!
A.
Great quirky place. Good food selection but not so tasty. Ethos is for a good cause so great to see that it is getting the support. Connected to a small vintage toy shop, gelato place. Good vibes here.
S.
Another great place in Morningside! It was packed on mother's day so there was a slight wait but they've gone sofas at the back to chill out on until a table is ready. Super quick service and the food was out in no time. Great selection of vegetarian food as well. The cauliflower and falafel were great along with the mushrooms and potato rosti!
S.
Amazing service even though they were absolutely swamped. The guy seating everyone was fantastic. The food came out super fast and was so tasty! I tried the eggs benedict with braised beef cheek and it was great!
A.
Rad location with good wholesome food, really extensive dinner menu. We got a board and risotto balls, lamb, garden salad (surprisingly good) and a cheese cake to share. They are very good with their roast veges so if you are interested in a warm winter feast this is the place! Staff seemed a little confused and at times clueless, but were friendly and catered to our needs.
D.
Great place with outside sitting, perfect in a sunny day. The place is normally always full but the waiting time for the food is not much. Friendly staff, great coffee (super important) and very tasty food, reasonable prices and good portions.
Had the egg Benedicts with beetroot hollandaise sauce, poached eggs were cooked to perfection and all the flavours go together really well
p.
I popped by a good several months ago for breakfast while the missus was away. At the time, there were some issues with seating me (perhaps it was because I was a solo diner on a busy Saturday morning), the coffee I ordered was more bitter than expected, and the french toast I ordered had more sugar than my coffee.
Several months later, the missus was hankering for something a little more hearty and being fresh out of ingredients for the fridge, I decided to take her out to brunch on a Saturday morning.
It was not overly busy at quarter to 10, surprisingly. There was a good crowd but there was not a queue forming and neither did we have to wait.
The moment we walked in through the doors, we were immediately greeted and seated. The server was round in literal minutes for our coffee order and soon after, another came to take our brunch orders.
Speedy service today too, a lot faster than I remembered them to be. I would easily say that we were served brunch a mere 10 minutes after placing our orders. And this time, the food was delicious.
I opted for the "Benediction" - eggs bene with the manuka bacon option and it was drizzled over nicely with a nice, slightly tart hollandaise sauce. The eggs were poached to perfection with no hints of vinegar (a usual technique for solidifying said egg during poaching) (see photo below) with a beautiful deep yellow yolk. That said, the eggs were lukewarm, making me wonder if these were poached in advance rather than to order. Plate decorations of sweet balsamic vinaigrette with sprinkled cayenne pepper on the plate added to the classiness of the meal.
Coffee, however, was still the same. Not bad but nothing to write home about either.
All in all, a nice meal in a lovely environment, but with some little missing details that would make this place a stunner.
K.
Fantastic brunch. It was really busy and was surprised how quickly our food arrived which was delicious and the service was really good. I also love the decor making it a really interesting place to visit than your normal cafes.
Can be a bit of drama to try and find parking otherwise everything was great and definitely will be back
l.
Got the Crave for breakfast, everything is delicious except for the mushrooms and their hard thin crispy toast. Be sure to ask them what kind of bread toast and thickness if you don't like tough toast.
A.
Oh my. Just look at my French toast brioche, just look at it! The colors, textures, taste, presentation... need I say more?
Go wild. Don't hold back.
O.
Delicious food, nice ambience. The staff were a little slow to notice a customer, and in coming to greet and seat me, but such can be the way with "trendy" places. Their roasted chicken breast was delicious, if a little small in overall size/volume as a dish. Perhaps a dollop of mash with it would help? Their cider was amazing, definitely recommended.
E.
Very nice place to spend some relaxing time if you are around Morningside area. Big space for everyone, you can choose to sit inside or outside. Ordered kombutcha as drink and salmon as meals. Also had wedges as side. Overall very nice. Their services also nice. Had my wallet left behind once, only realised I missed my wallet the day after, but they had taken care my wallet nicely. Got my wallet back without any problems. Thanks!
L.
Absolutely loved everything about Crave. Their staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, and the vibe is so welcoming and relaxed, while still chic. The coffee & food are amazing, too!
J.
This place has such an incredible atmosphere, right from the moment you walk in the door. The service is super friendly, and you get a real sense of it being a good "local" and community-driven place. They're there to make good food for Morningside and to help out their neighbors! Food is delicious, the ciders are well worth a taste too (Pineapple and Jalapeno!), and they're open late too which is nice for a good evening meal.
S.
Probably my favourite cafe in NZ. Amazing coffee (very smooth), thoughtful food flavours that are consistently well prepared and presented, great ambiance and community.
W.
Second time here and I order the same thing because I kept dreaming about it - mushroom medley on rosti...HELLO. Lovely staff, service is pretty quick, and easily come in a group or by yourself to while the afternoon away. Nice touch with selling masks if you forget yours, and the story about Crave being a community collective - would recommend!
A.
You need to try their eggs bene and chicken sandwich and mushroom medley and tiramisu and cheesecake and...everything really 😋
S.
Great place! Was in the area and Auckland being at level 3 wasn't expecting them to have cooked meals available but they did! Salmon eggs benedict was so good! Highly recommend thank you 👍
W.
Lovely cafe with delicious food and desserts. Great customer service and cozy atmosphere.
R.
Very delicious food, coffee and ice cream (from little LATO) nice atmosphere and very friendly waitress :) happy experience.
A.
Nice modern cafe all sorts of toys and interesting things on the wall and the staff are laid back and friendly and it's very handy to the gym the coffee is quite strong the food looks great
M.
Just to see the stunning mural of the Virgin Mary is worth the visit. Coffee was ok but either they use trim milk or I got the wrong coffee, service was very friendly. Next time I’ll stay for lunch as dishes looked great. Gorgeous local eatery
M.
Absolutely delish! Super friendly, and helpful staff. Assumed it would be higher priced than it was due to amazing food and dining area but my breakfast and coffee (great, great coffee) came to $25 which I thought was really good! Have been there a few times now and will definitely keep going back!
R.
Delicious place for brunch. Service is great despite the huge amount of customers they always have. Dishes are a good twist on the classics.
C.
I photographed a wedding here a few years ago, finally came for breakfast today, sooooo good. Braised beef for breakfast? Do it.
G.
Generally is a good place with amazing food... we were 10 people at the previous Sunday morning arrived and pretty much all of us enjoyed our food and coffees... the service though has some issues because they forgot 3 drinks with our first order and we have to remind them again... it took a while to bring us our food and coffees... anyway I won’t let this thing ruin my experience there is we totally liked it there...
Also I love the decoration of the place... they are doing a good job as the place is always clean and tide...
A.
Love the atmosphere and the food and drinks! Great spot and the chilli scramble and peanut butter chocolate smoothie are must-trys
b.
this cafe was unexpected. when i walked in it was very vintage which gave the atmosphere a nostalgic feel. the chilli cheese scramble was just amazing. the eggs were fluffy along with a slice of toast at the bottom, and the spice levels was just enough so you would still be able to taste the dish fully. overall 4.4 stars.
C.
Whilst visiting Auckland on our honey moon we booked a table for 12 at Crave. The staff set us up in a private room and could not be more helpful. The food was fantastic and I would definitely visit again! 10/10
T.
A lovely spot to have a cup of coffee, to meet a friend or to have a yummy lunch.
Love the atmosphere, outdoor sitting has blanket provided, sweet!
S.
Lovely atmosphere, situated in a quiet part of town. Wide variety of items on the menu. My brother had the burger that was on the menu and i had eggs! The food was cooked well, however, the burger was placed on a chopping board and was very messy! No worries, nothing a little wipe won't clean lol! Overall, a great place to eat!
D.
Good and relax dining areas with delicious food. One of my friend suggested here having had a good experience earlier. We are a group of 7 couples and first requested their private dining area upstairs but it was all booked out. We were reserved with a table on a good spot near their novelty shop and gelato counters. We had dinner and ordered sharing plates of antipasto, chicken, pork ribs, truffle fries and quinoa with mushrooms - all are just perfect and delicious. We paired these with different drinks - generally bottles of beer and lemony drinks. They don't have option on pitcher drinks to share though. There's plenty of parking in the area and because the location is outside CBD. There was a cake that one of my friend brought in which we just paid a corkage fee. Lastly customer service is excellent and our group felt very welcomed and well taken care off especially on using the vacant table next to our table to blow the cake etc. I would come back here again.
E.
This place is always popular. I have been there a couple of times but it was the first time I tried the salad. I was amazed by the portion of the salad and the way they cut the broccoli. The Library place was getting crowded.
A.
Great food, better than I remember, table service as well. Very busy as in parking and finding table wise.
K.
Excellent place to study or get some work done. There is wifi and a dedicated library /work space. The service is good and staff seem happy for you to stay a couple of hours and don't pressure you to leave or order more.
The food is fresh, tasty and well presented, and there is minimal wait time.
It is consistently busy, no matter what time of day or day of the week, but you're usually seated very quickly. Parking can also be a bit tricky, usually end up a few blocks away.
P.
Great place, bit crowded but alright. Service was good and the food was really good. Poached eggs beautifully cooked. Nice chocolate and peanut butter smoothie.
A.
We just had coffee here but surely coming back for some food. Lovely place and decor with high ceilings, paintings and massive shelf
L.
Nice and cozy, friendly staff, good food, great buttermilk French toast
T.
Coffee was great. Service was excellent. Food was overpriced compared to quality. I ordered the great crave sth. It wasn't worth $25.
D.
The mushroom and bacon I had was very good. Staff was really friendly too. I loved the decoration of the place. We sat at a corner bench which had a warm lighting.
I.
Great Cafe food and service great can get very busy parking on the road
L.
When my lunch date cancelled, I decided to take myself out for lunch. Crave has been on my list to visit for a while, so off I went. Crave has got a neighbourhood local vibe. If I lived nearby, I’d be a regular. The menu has the usuals (eggs on toast, mushrooms on hash, smashed avo, etc.), but done well and with super fresh ingredients. They’re licensed too, which means there’s a lovely rose for solo lunch on a hot summer’s day.
J.
I ate here twice with my boyfriend while on vacation in NZ. The food was great both times!
C.
Such an adorable and cosy cafe, and for such a good cause too! Everything here is run by the local community, the food was aaaamazing! Would so come back again and hopefully soon!
F.
Love this cafe!! Their French toast is to die for!! Best French toast in Auckland hands down!
M.
Came by for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Service was good and the food delicious! Busy though, and might be hard to find parking close by, just a head's up.
R.
Only tried the coffee so far - but it was great - the place was packed - good vibe, good staff, good fit out
N.
There is real funk about this cafe. Good coffee and it's really busy, this is a testament to good food, good coffee and even better location
R.
Stunning food and service. Comfortable place to be, including a big verandah so I can bring my dog
A.
Absolutely amazing food, fast service even when it's busy! 10/10 would recommend! Absolutely delicious and amazing coffee! Parking is a bit hectic but just look 2 seconds down the road and you will find something.
H.
I just loved the fungi it's been the best I have tasted in Auckland. My husband had the eggs bene and he even said that mine tasted a 10/10 compared to his and he wished he had ordered my meal. The coffee was great. The chai late was OK. Its a very busy bustling place. The staff were great.
R.
Such a friendly, eccentric cafe with different menu offerings and a GLORIOUS cabinet! Salted caramel slice anyone?!
J.
Staff always very nice, food consistently tasty (sometimes presentation varies, but still delicious), coffee is great but wish their large size were a bit bigger. Always enjoy coming here
C.
Amazing food, coffee, service and style. Highly recommended. Best cheese scone anywhere.
A.
Food was amazing. I don't give them 5 stars because service could be better.
H.
Superb. Has nooks and crannies for writing and reading if needs be and plenty of space for socialising. The coffee and food are yummy and wholesome. The first time I visited was for a 3 pm munch and was won over with my first sip and the perfect chocolate chip biscuit which was about the size of a side plate. Great place to meet friends or sit and write.
A.
My favorite breakfast place. I love the vibe 🤩
S.
Yummy breakfast. Good to be out again and a great place
M.
Super delicious eggs Benedict, bit of a wait but that's what happens with coming out of lockdown and having great food
R.
I love this place! The people are perfect - professional but friendly, the food and coffee is great and the atmosphere is welcoming, with plenty of bustle but also space to have your own conversation or get work done. I would go more often but the open hours are a bit short for me (prefer afternoon to 5pm for work/food/coffee at cafe!). Also, I would love it if there were more GF offerings in the cabinet. Good work Crave!
E.
Great coffee and atmosphere. I was told by the waitress they could make the the Fungi medley breakfast vegan, but this essentially removed all the components of the dish and was served simply mushrooms on a single piece of toast. Charged the same as full price even though it was half the size.
Very underwhelming dish.
A.
Very good cafe that gives me the big city vibes. Good food too. I liked the set up and the staff was very friendly. I had a meeting there in one of the meeting rooms and especially liked the set up there. Additionally, brownie points for Crave cafe for having some of the cleanest toilets I've seen in a cafe. Cheers to you guys! Loved the ambiance.
However, I would seriously recommend adding some more vegetarian dishes to your menu. I could only find the "Falafel" option.
A.
Tasty food, great presentation. Staff were boring and we struggled to get their attention.
K.
This cafe has such a cool, chill vibe! With wonderful friendly service, delicious food, excellent coffee, + comfy couches Crave is my new fave!
D.
Always such a busy cafe and has such great food, really good coffee too. A large seating area both inside and out, and the service that we received was awesome. Lovely interior design and the King Salmon benediction that i ordered was super delicious too. Overall a great experience, would definitely return to try something new.
S.
Excellent food and coffee. Great atmosphere.
S.
Came to auckland n found this nice spot in kingsland, crave its a nice n upscale cafe just above eden park.. sat next to two channel one news reporters.. got some cool artwork n bits n collectables on shelves placed around the place upstairs n downstairs, cool place. Go get a coffee or something to eat.. enjoy
t.
Great service, very welcoming and friendly staff. Great atmosphere
Y.
Pleasant place helpful staff. Needs outdoor umbrellas/shade.
J.
Portions aren't huge but neither is the price! Service was really warm and friendly! Will definitely be back with my wife (whom I managed to get away from for the day)!
S.
Food was tasty, coffee was good, parking in area not so good. A big place that was bursting with people during our visit...unfortunately not enough high chairs for our toddler, so not a great all round eating experience
K.
I wish if Crave close later than 4 pm as before, I used to come here with my friends at night! Amazing! and I am not sure if Crave serves Halal meat options?
F.
We had the salmon Benedict which was pretty good. I loved the combination. The French toast is the best on the north island we have eaten so far. And we eat at lot of French toast :)
R.
Can't go past the Green Smoothie and Chia Pudding! Seriously so good. Big fan right here.
M.
Nice place and handy location. The food and coffee is really good! I love their mocaccinos and French toasts. They have a kids play area inside with lots of toys/books which is always nice when you want a 5 minute break from your little ones 😜
L.
Service was a little slow for us, we had to ask someone to take our food orders although we'd had coffee for quite a while. Halloumi was disappointing, not grilled properly and not 'squeaky' as you'd expect. Couple of other issues. Good coffee though and one of the waitresses was very helpful to us. Others on our table enjoyed their meal, bacon could have been crispier.
J.
Great service...so friendly even though it was so busy. Food divine.
M.
Great coffee and vegetarian options. Funky and unique.
A.
Awesome vegetarian eggs benedict. I couldn't see the eggs benny veg options on the menu, but when asking the waiter there were three; avo, mushroom or halloumi. It was the best eggs benny we've ever had, highly recommended.
Z.
Been here several times and never fails to disappoint. The staff are super friendly, the food is good and the coffee is great. Can get quite crowded during brunch/lunch hour and dinner time, but it’s quiet enough during the late afternoon to chill with a book or your laptop. Parking can sometimes take some effort too.
M.
Trendy upmarket cafe.
Good coffees. Large selection of counter food.
Plus menu.
Would recommend the Crave
D.
Great cafe, run as a neighborhood co-operative. Plenty of space and private meeting rooms are available. Nice family vibe but moderately high prices and while the coffee was nice, it wasn't great. Better coffee would see them getting five stars.
O.
Always very very busy for Sunday brunch but if you don't mind the wait or happy to sit at the large communal table then it's worth it. Ordered the eggs benny with salmon, but they brought out 2 eggs benny with bacon very fast. It looked yummy so I was happy to take it. Then they brought us 2 more... but we had already started then another 2 came out! Not sure what was going on but eventually they sorted it out! Food was very fast and came out before our coffee. I was glad to end up with the bacon eggs benny, the salmon one looked a bit pretentious. Nice atmosphere and food.
K.
Food is delicious and the coffee. No complaints. I recommend the crispy potato hash I added one to my breakfast and it was perfect!
B.
One of our favorite cafes in Auckland. It's our place to go when we have visitors from overseas to show off our city's amazing food culture.
Awesome coffee and awesome food. We've tried different food and they were all amazing. Balanced taste is their main charasteristic, sweet or chilly, no difference.
A.
Amazing environment. Beautiful food.
A.
Could be great but is unfortunately average. Staff could use a bit of 'friendliness' encouragment and coffee makers ensure cups are hot and coffee delivered hot. Lukewarm is just not acceptable in any event. Meals are OK, but a little bit like they dropped on the plate from outer space.
H.
Beautiful cafe. Interior design was really nice. There was library upstairs. Pretty cool. The food was the typical brunch food. Tasted pretty good, but nothing special. Service was not too bad. This place was quite popular. Parking was a bit difficult to find.
V.
Came here for Sunday Lunch. It was incredibly busy. Parking was a bit hard to find, as the streets were packed. Great decor reflecting the roots of the cafe. Took us quite a while to get seated, but once we were service was pretty prompt. Fresha and modern menu... Both cabinet and menu food was delicious. There are both indoor and outdoor seated areas too. Would like to come back for the dinner menu!
A.
Place was super busy when we arrived but we were seated quickly and didnt have to wait long for our delish meals. Defos recommend visiting crave for brunch!
x.
Good coffee but there's always some weird condition thing going on. It different each time you go.
Wait staff are great but the cooks don't read what the wait staff write on the order form so so you don't end up with what you wanted.
F.
Good coffee & food
Ambience was great

I love the concept of Crave, I've visited as a café and their coffee is awesome. I've also been for an event and the entire setup is amazing. The space works so well for gatherings, they produce some absolutely amazing food, the staff are professional and incredibly friendly. This is one of those rare places where you are contributing to a worthwhile cause and winning yourself because everything is so good.
C.
Amazing! Excellent service, food brought out super fast and was delicious. Coffee very nice as well. Busy cafe, but great atmosphere, no loud music making it hard to hear and talk. Brilliant that Crave is giving back to the community. Will be back when in the area.
J.
Very good coffee in an inviting and very hip design space, happy staff makes excellent service,AND a yummy menu.
Highly recommend.
D.
Took my son there for a quick birthday lunch as it was a work day. Really busy inside and out. Nice atmosphere and mix of business people and young families. Great selection of food and very happy with the service. Will return 👍
L.
We stumbled upon Crave on a Saturday lunchtime. It was super busy but they managed to get us seated quickly. Service was prompt and the food came out quickly. We had the Eggs Benedict and Avo smash, with a coffee and cold pressed juice... All of it was delicious!! We'll definitely be back!
I.
Great food, coffee and service
S.
Lovely cafe. Cabinet and off menu. Food fresh. I did ask if I could have a half portion as I can't eat a whole meal anymore...and I hate to order then eat half and waste it. They couldn't do this.. avo on toast..as it was 2 pieces of toast!!! And only wanted 1....but she did suggest the kids menu and got a small toasted sandwich..which was ample. Coffee very good. Restrooms clean and tidy. Parking can be a bit difficult as busy area. Outside seating as well as inside. I see ice cream there now but didn't try it. Recommended
S.
My normal Cafe wasn't open in January, so I had to branch out - but I'm very glad I did! Crave has good coffee, a good atmosphere, and heaps of seating inside and out. It was moderately busy (on a weekday, at around ten am), but still plenty of tables. Nice staff. I didn't eat anything but the food looked amazing.
D.
Our very favourite place to eat in Auckland. Cool atmosphere, quality coffee and delicious food! My god, so good! The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Perfect brunch experience.
We went to Crave every day we were staying in Auckland, and we'll definitely go back if we find ourselves there again.
D.
Neat little place, cool vibe inside. Nice staff. Coffee was good and well priced.
A.
Great cafe in an otherwise industrial area of Morningside, great atmosphere, good for meetups, reading or study.
R.
Went for dinner, the ribs were amazing and the brocoli tender and delicious.
A lovely place with good vibes in a very accessible part of kingsland/Morningside. Have heard great things about the coffee and hope to try it next time I'm there
R.
Dope and friendly, wicked food and vibes. Wheelchair access for my nan, and healthy food choices.
D.
Was great food was nice and atmosphere was nice. Only missing 2 stars as the guy who served us saw us looking at the coffee spoon which look like antiques. He says to us please dont take them they are hard to find. As if i look like a thief. Very bad customer service from him. Apart from that very nice
C.
A great turnout for their family fun filled Street Party. Always a great community vibe.
C.
food was good,coffee wasOK,environment is great。
A.
Interior is nice, staff is lovely & service is good, but food was a disappointment. Sizes of our four meals were very modest and three out of four tasted almost plain. I thought they are throwing in few pickles and sprouts to make meals look nicer and bigger, but you get very small pieces of bread and meat or poultry with it. Latte and chai came in small cups too. Antique spoon was a nice touch, but had rust on it. We had to go to another cafe after lunch in Crave because three of us were still hungry :)
N.
Amazing!!!!! The beautiful place with nice service. You should go there to have a brunch with your friends on weekend once. It has two stairs, for the second floor, it is a mini library for students to study.
The neighbor of CRAVE are also fantastic cafe.
J.
A place to share food. Nice vibe. It was a cold day when we went.
R.
I'm a local so I really wanted to love this place. Unfortunately the service is just okay, but today was absolutely horrid. We were patronised by the woman who "manages the section", for doing nothing more than moving away from the sun. She had not even served us at all that morning, no water, no coffee, nothing at all, until she interacted with us rudely.
As someone who's worked in the hospitality industry for a couple of years I can assure you that is not how anyone should be treated.
Luckily the eggs bene was amazing, whatever they put in the hollandaise is divine.
S.
Have been here several times and the service, coffee and food are excellent. Staff are always amazing even when it’s busy, food comes out really fast. Love the decor, my favourite cafe by a mile and love the concept behind the business. I almost want to move into the Morningside area just so I can fequent this place more often, what a wonderful space!
M.
Nice food with reasonable price.
F.
Outstanding coffee, great service and quick, delicious offerings. These guys run like a well oiled machine and continue to be one of the best cafes in Auckland. The mushroom medley on their breakfast menu is otherworldly.
P.
Does the cafe experience get any better than Crave? I’d say not.
Visit after visit, whether for coffee, breakfast, brunch or lunch. Crave delivers every single time.
The best part? Their simply awesome team. Great people, providing warm and professional service. Every. Time.
Quality food. Variety. A venue that has a space for all purposes. Fabulous coffee. Suspended coffees! Love seeing those SCs being given to those in need.
Oh. And great bookable meeting spaces to hang out with colleagues and work. Surrounded by all of the above.
And all with a beating heart for our community.
No. It doesn’t get better than Crave.
Thanks.
R.
The Full Crave, arguably the best breakfast meal I've ever had. I can't fault the dish.
The service was also very quick. I didn't even have time to breathe before my meal came out. All this during brunch rush.
I'm going back to try the Benediction next time.
A.
I am a regular here at Crave, since they were in the small cafe on the opposite side of the road.
I personally love it, is a great concept and really a focus meeting point for the community.
I love little lato too! Only bad note about it is that the icecream portion is never the same, sometimes is ridiculously little and some other time is massive!
i wish they use scoops so that all the staff is on the same page.
Anyway great place where to go!
H.
Had the eggs Benedict with bacon. Was 10/10, would recommend.
A.
Went there for lunch, all three dishes are well presented. Creamy mushroom sauce is a little salty. Smash avo quite tasty and french toast is bit avg.
Staff wasn't very friendly also there are way too many flies and tiny flies in restaurant and because they are so small, it's quite difficult to get rid of it on our food.
Will be Keen to try other dishes but only if they can improve their environment.
F.
The best eggs Benedict and french toast :) love coming here , only issue is sometimes it’s so busy you need to wait for a table! Well worth the wait tho!
V.
This is a very busy cafe but the service was so effecient that we felt quite relaxed. It's bigger than your usual cafe so make sure you explore the insides. Food was tasty at a reasonable price. Thoroughly enjoyed our time.
A.
Super fast service! Sweet and caring waitress
t.
Every single thing was amazing!!! The mushroom risotto was so satisfying, beef ribs was flavourful and cooked to perfection. The soft shell crab sliders!? Whoah just unbelievably gewd!!! Ugh. I want to eat there again tomorrow! The staff also the best bunch bravo!!!
G.
Quite possibly the best cafe in Auckland. SERIOUSLY.
L.
Cant give a five but pretty close to it. They had mushroom trilogy and eggs n bacon and they were smiley happy we had buttermilk french toast with tasty bits very nice indeed. All coffees met expectations and staffies were relaxed efficiency.
W.
Food quality, price and serving are perfect. Waiting time upon arrival to being seated is surprisingly short despite the crowd perhaps it's timing. Staff are friendly and helpful. Should have been a straight 5-star if not for a 15-20 minute wait despite 3 reminder for additional order of a slice of cake, a long Black and a glass of freshly squeezed juice.
B.
Great eatery and coffee shop. They have a big variety in foodstuffs and some seriously good coffee. Seating on the inside and outside is great and the place is always clean and tidy. You can relax and enjoy the atmosphere there. They have a section for Galato Icecream, this is so' so good. Covers both sorbet and creamy icecream - excellent flavors. Great staff and you can book private functions there. Very highly recommended.
T.
Slow service but good rose
J.
We had a birthday dinner at Crave tonight with 19 people in one of the upstairs rooms. Lovely, prompt and attentive service, very helpful too! Delicious food!! The lamb was so tender, the beef cheeks too! Great flavours! Everyone was highly impressed with the venue as well! Such an amazing and interesting building with all sorts of spaces to explore. The kids enjoyed chilling out on the retro chairs downstairs reading the books provided. Thanks Crave - we will be back and will highly recommend you for dinner!
R.
Great community-friendly spot with good coffee and tasty food. Since moving to their new premises they've gone for a more up-market feel and have lost the cosiness they previously had, but the coffee and food remain the same. One of the few places in Auckland that runs a "suspended coffee" scheme for the less fortunate.
D.
Right up there, as possibly the coolest and best wine and dine in Auckland. The food is yummy, the wine and beer choices are great, and the staff friendly and engaging. A favourite date spot for my wife and I. Highly recommended.
N.
Great food and atmosphere. The cafe is not for profit and all proceeds go to charity. Food and coffee was great, and even though they were extremely busy (people lining up for tables) our food and drinks came out fairly quickly. Would definately make a reservation if you have a group.
J.
Lovely staff, lovely environment, perfect place to do some work away from the office. The library area was cosy and had plenty of power points for plugging in the laptop, and the wifi speed was decent (although I did keep getting disconnected on my laptop for some reason). The food was delicious, and the coffee was great too. Will definitely be back.
R.
I enjoyed the food coffee and service
K.
We had to wait for a while for our food and my hashbrowns werent spot on like they usually were. Normally you recieve your meals ridiculously quickly even when a full restaurant. I have been here over a handful of time. I just feel the food and service were lacking on this week day, normally I go kn the weekend
S.
Had a delicious brunch here having the heirloom salad. Was very yummy and the coffee was also well made making it a tasty meal overall. The staff were also nice and welcoming and made sure we got anything we needed.
C.
Hey hey people Sseth here. Went here with some family over the weekend, googled "Auckland Cafes" and after a brief search we this this place. Which had the highest rating and most reviews by far. So we went and discovered that it was a truly deserved reputation.
- Cool and lovely staff
- Amazing creative food
- Comfortable and great looking building
- Amazing Icecream
- Great drinks
This place gets the Merchant's Guild seal of approval.
J.
Food was really good. Lots of seating so even when it's busy no trouble to find a place. Make sure to get there before the kitchen counter food is all gone if you just want a quick bite though.
J.
Crave serves great food, sharing plate style, has nice drinks not found in other places and is one of mine and my husbands favourite places to have dinner at. The coffee is also good and the service is friendly and helpful. The ethos behind Crave is great too which explains the excellence everything is done with
J.
Love a business that cares about the community. This place philosophy is all about giving back to the community of Morningside and it reflects on the ambience, staff and people who come here with their friends and families. Great coffee, lovely decor and good food. If you're around the area definitely stop and check it out.
S.
I had the tomatoes on sourdough toast with a poached egg. I was grateful that our waiter moved us to a more shaded table as the sun was very hot. I enjoyed the tomatoes except there was a lot on the plate. There was too much balsamic vinegar on the dish for me and left some on my plate.
C.
Amazing breakfast - Benediction, highly recommended! So much that I wanted to go another round but the missus said no 😅 great atmosphere, prompt and courteous staff.
M.
What a beautiful and lovely cafe! Went here for an event and was in awe of the beautiful decorations. The mural on the wall is well worth a visit to see. The high ceilings at first made me thing it would be noisy inside, but even with the large group I was in the atmosphere was not overwhelming. It made me happy to know my money was going to a good Christian cause. The cake cabinet all looked delicious, especially the carrot cake. I ordered the sugar donut. A little but disappointing that there was no jam or cream filling, but was still satisfied. Will visit again soon during the day to check out their menu :)
K.
Love the cafe and space here. Coffee was ok, not outstanding. But when I asked them to heat it up (as had ordered extra hot but came out only warm) they were quick to offer to remake it. Second one was MUCH better. Food looks lovely although I didnt eat this time. Would order next time based on what I saw.
J.
Coffee was good. Service prompt. Food looked appetizing but I didnt eat. Parking in the area is difficult.
L.
Absolutely loved having lunch here and went out of my comfort zone and try some new food. Beautiful cafe with so many places to sit. I can't rate it fully 5 start as I couldn't get the basic sort of meals like a bowl of chips or something light. Will definitely be coming back soon.
T.
Dirty knife in cutlery box, eggs over cooked.
Very strong coffee. Very casual relaxed atmosphere.
E.
Fabulous location, go around the corner and the cakes m' dear are delectable morsels.
L.
Always excellent, love this community café, one of my favorite spot for brunch.
Good coffee (very important)
this place can get super busy - the good food is the reason why.)
B.
The food here is amazing! Its good healthy food with plenty of clean eating choices. The menu changes regularly to reflect seasonal food so you get different options often. I went on a really busy sunday morning yet the staff were so on their game, friendly and efficient. They have a very strong community focus, check out their website for more details.
R.
Cool little spot. Has a novel vintage gift shop inside. Yummy choc oat biscuit (served with a cake fork...?) and great iced latte, but no coconut milk available 😢
J.
Nice decoration, love it.
Latte so so, Fungi Medley is flavorful.
C.
Really good coffee! And the staff were really friendly too :)
p.s. your berry chocolate muffins were delish
N.
A great neighborhood cafe that has an amazing social and community buzz. Lovely interior decor. Food can be a little pricey but its worth the spend. Great quality and presentation.
H.
Great place to come for great food and good service. A nice surprise as it's my first time here. Love the interior design too, something different, unique and cool. They also support the local community too. What's not to love
H.
A bit underwhelming considering the high praise this places gets. Expected amazing food for the price but it was pretty standard cafe food and flavours. Good coffee and smoothies though
M.
Great service with good food that is well presented. My order was ready and in front of me within 6 minutes, wow... Even though it was quiet I have been here when it's been very busy and still received the same prompt service...
E.
I miss the old Crave. It used to have an extended menu with wholesome flavours. Now it seems to be "fancy" meals that lack the old venue's soul.
Place was busy when I was there and waiters were all polite and had warm greetings. Had eggs on toast. It didn't come with butter and the bread was tough. Full crave had good flavours but dry as it didn't have a binding sauce extra the one that was on though rye bread.
I remember months back having eggs benedict and halloumi salad which were both fine.
F.
Went for a group shared dinner last night. Delicious lamb and cauliflower- pity there wasn’t more! Very rich chocolate brownie was amazing! Friendly staff.
D.
Have been here several times and the coffee and food are excellent. Staff are always welcoming, food comes out really fast. Love the decor!
s.
By far the best cafe in Auckland. Open until late and very spacious. Morning, noon and evening menus have amazing dishes like creamy mushroom. Perfect for working or studying with a laptop.
F.
We had a group lunch (14 people). All meals were a generous size, beautifully presented, and tasted delicious. I had the bircher meusli which was full of amazing textures, rich creamy yoghurt and a tangy poached plum. This was the complete opposite of soft, soggy, bland mush that you get in some places. I could hardly finish the plate, but it was so scrummy that I persevered. All meals and drinks were served promptly. Well done to the Crave team.
J.
Best eggs bene in Auckland, great coffee, lovely quiet suburban location. Fabulous chocolate shop next door & toy museum inside the cafe. This cafe is popular & street parking is extremely limited, it's worth the walk though.
D.
This place is a great cafe to have as your local while they put effort into improving social cohesion with their local projects. From having street parties and board game night to Christmas markets and supporting local, ethical businesses, this place really does have it all. Great place for a drink or a meal and some great service from their amazing staff.
K.
The fungi arancini risotto balls are delicious! The service was excellent and very attentive. The music was just right, quiet enough to talk but loud enough that you can have a private conversation without the next table taking part in it.
L.
Delicious food and friendly staff. I want to give this a higher rating but both times I have been there they lost my order and I had to wait at least 40min before my food arrived. Because of this I probably won't try it again. Liked it better at the old venue where it was a more intimate vibe and less noisy.
D.
Awesome spot, caters nicely to a wide group, very handy to the train station and there's plenty of parking so this is an excellent choice if you need a place to meet friends or business associates. The food was delicious, I highly recommend you try the Carb-less Thai Chicken Salad.
I liked this place do much I did a bit of research and found out that it is owned by Crave Collective, an organisation with objectives similar to a charity – that means that all of the profits go towards the community.
I'll be back!
J.
Great food. Wonderful selection of boutique ice creams. Has a vintage toy and pop culture shop within the store for the young at heart member of the family looking to relive their halcyon days of youth.
K.
Crave definitely have the best french toast in Auckland. Only giving a 4 star because it's too busy and there aren't many vege options on the menu (if you don't feel like french toast). Coffee is good. Staff are great.
S.
The atmosphere and food at Crave was amazing. I had the Minute Steak and the flavours were incredible. I'd definitely have it again. Service was impeccable and very welcoming and friendly.
P.
Had breakfast here yesterday and dinner here tonight. Diverse menu, super tasty food and great staff. The poached eggs for brekkie were perfectly done on wonderful bread, creamed feta and a revelation of a red sauce. Perfect. Dinner was even better. The starters were delicious, especially with Crave's outstanding wine list. The mains, shared plates, were bright with flavour and depth that was both impressive and satisfying. I had the roasted beets with candied walnuts alongside pork and fennel sausages with an amazing potato creation. Again, the wine available made the courses sing. I'll be back this week for more.
N.
Fantastic coffee, cool philosophy behind the cooperative as well. They also choose to promote fair trade and cause driven products around their walls. Upstairs are two rooms that would be epic for a team meeting and brainstorming session. Well worth a look!
A.
Good breakfast, good service and a nice atmosphere.
It’ll sound ridiculous but I cut my lip on one of the espresso teaspoons.
D.
A pleasant surprise on Morningside Drive amongst the industrial buildings. The cafe has a very welcoming vibe suitable for catching up with friends. Coffee is good for coffee lovers. Although the menu is quite standard like ordinary cafe food, it's still worth a visit.
P.
Great place to visit. Friendly staff. Nice and clean premises. I definitely will go there again. 🤗 😀
I.
Beautiful place with soooo many people!!
We tried chai and flat white, are both tasty !!
But too many people to order hot breakfast. Need to wait 45 minutes for cooking. So maybe next we will come early to try egg Benedict!!
Here is also selling panting, so cool ah!
R.
Great service and good food.
T.
Beautiful building, food and very friendly staff! Great space to relax and enjoy a yummy meal. Only criticism is the almond milk used for coffee - could be improved 😁
E.
HANDS DOWN the best brunch in Auckland. Amazing service and great quality food. Coffee is delicious and the vegan gelatos are amazing. 10/10 would recommend.
B.
Really lovely food. I ordered the French Toast and it was awesome to be given French Toast in a different form. Not the standard type I expected. Loved it
A.
Crave was very impressive, we were seated quickly, the service was excellent and the time for the food to come out was impressive. The pricing is very good, and there is a good range of options available. Highly recommended.
L.
Perfect place..perfect food...^^
Z.
Service was quite fast but not attentive. They didn't do meal check. We wanted to have some salt and pepper . We had to stop someone to ask if they can bring some salt and pepper .Food was average coffee was spot on but i wouldn't say that we didn't enjoy our meal. I would probably come back
N.
Industrial atmosphere, great coffee + food. Would get more stars if it wasn't for the words on the menu.... Tries too hard to make sure you know this is a hipster place.... It stops being clever when you have to try to work out what it even is
I.
Nice cold drip coffee and tumeric latta. Kids French toast can be less burnt and less cream. Everything else was just perfect. Love the lamb burger such a treat!
m.
I don't ordinarily respond to calls for reviews buy lunch at Crave was exceptional. Fungi! The best meal I have had for years, perfect. And friendly, robust service.
D.
Awesome cafe, great coffee, great food and such friendly staff. Really glad to see how they are re-opening safely and responsibly during COVID-19.
G.
I would like to give a bad review just to keep the crowds down... but that would be selfish. A top establishment on so many levels. Good food, good coffee, good people and an asset to the community.
F.
Small and slightly quirky menu. Quinoa and dukkah with poached eggs seems strange but works. Super busy at weekends. If you want another round of coffee, you'll need to ask and your request obligingly provided. Staff too busy to approach you.
N.
Nice food, light portions, great decoration and nice staff :) one of the best place to have a brunch in the neighbourhood
W.
Great smoothies, great food and very friendly service and dog friendly ticked all the boxes
N.
SUPER busy on a sunday morning, yet they still managed to get food and coffee out quickly. Food was lovely, staff friendly.
o.
Unfortunately this hidden gem is no longer hidden boo hoo! Lovely place, atmosphere and staff. Comfy, has toys for kids and is pretty cool.
Great coffee and cakes!!!!!
Love it.
N.
Stunning food. Gorgeous staff who were knowledgeable and quietly attentive. Lovely ambience with an interesting blend of customers. Highly recommended!
S.
Wonderful visit as always, great service and lovely food. The free WiFi is a bonus and the hot desks upstairs also allow you somewhere to work between appointments. The eggs benedict is a must - that potato rosti is such a winner.
K.
Great coffee and atmosphere
S.
While the food is always nice the service of staff at front of house was borderline rude. Absolutely no manners, unwelcoming and presents a very poor image of an otherwise very good local cafe.
K.
Excellent selection of healthy & low cal drinks. Love the ambiance. Always a pleasure when not too busy
C.
Good place for morning brunch. Very busy and lively. Wait time when busy was about 15 mins which wasn't too bad. Wifi is available, didn't use this though. Menu was decent with many options for all food requirements.
M.
Great coffee; friendly, helpful waiters; reliable poached eggs (everyone else's meals looked super delicious). Pleasant layout.
R.
Great food and nice coffee!
J.
Chill atmosphere, great sandwiches, and five star coffee!
A.
Fabulous drinks garnished with a bouquet of flowers!! Food was good, albeit a little on the pricey side. The wagu was good but alot of fat compared with the wagu I usually eat
d.
More than a cafe/eatery. This place is real in both food and service. A place that is truly a part of the community. Great for lunch meetings, perfect for big groups.
B.
Great as always. Had the Benediction with salmon. Perfectly poached eggs and a crispy homemade hash brown. A busy spot but perfectly understandable.
r.
Probably the best breakfast I've had. Its perfect. Would love to go back when I'm in Auckland.
L.
Usually pretty solid but.. second time now I have had to ask for items I ordered but had not materialized at the table. Lots of staff standing around but seemed put out by my request for the item I had ordered. Could pretend to care guys.
C.
Good coffee and food. They messed up some of our orders but gave us free coffees then. Good place but could improve in service
M.
A good environment to chill and relax ,lack a star cause the food doesn't suit my taste bud.who knows maybe its tasty for others.
S.
Great food! I had salmon, avo, poached eggs and hash browns. Coffee was delish. A huge venue so great for big brunch groups.
C.
I love Crave, it's one of my favourite cafés in Auckland. Coffee is consistently delicious and the food is really good too. The art and decor is awesome too, great café!
E.
Had delicious gumbo and yummy fresh hot bread. Have been looking at gumbo recipes ever since. Great decor and energy
i.
Such an awesome place
Beautiful space with high ceilings
Great food and coffee and a really good atmosphere
Community oriented place
You can buy/donate extra coffees to help them support their coffee for mental health programs
Check it out for sure
A place with a social mission but zero compromise of the experience to achieve it
Highly recommend a visit
K.
Ate the beef ribs, velvet cake and gelato! Omg this was AMAZING! 😍 gf df options
A.
Crave rocks! Great work guys! Fab atmosphere, delicious food - LOVE everything about it. The only bummer is that we're out east and your not:(
L.
Was excited to try this as had heard really good things but ended up leaving disappointed. Food was average, the full crave was especially dry. The service and speed was really good though. Unlikely to return...
F.
Amazing customer service, great service and delicious food.
Mt favorite and only place for having brunch
T.
OH LORD. the mocha was so good i almost nutted. staff are friendly too btw
r.
Best eggs bene in Auckland! Cool decor. Big venue and usually humming. Also sells some yummy ciders
E.
Food was ok. But a lovely atmosphere and great sense of community. Love the open and airy space and the kitschy decor
R.
Food and drinks are great. Very nice ambience to catch up with friends.
K.
Awesome service.awsome food and Chelsea makes an awesome coffee ☕
Highly recommended
B.
Great food. Amazing service. Really good hot chocolate. Great for work lunches. Amazing vibes.
C.
Was so impressed with the service and quality of the food. The staff were very helpful and we all had such a great dinner. Thanks Crave!!
A.
Service and food- absolutely top notch. The friendly staff and atmosphere make it, in my opinion, one of the best cafe's in Auckland.
Big thumbs up to Barista Tim.
T.
Very popular plsce. I had an avo with hummus on a speciality bread. Although the taste was ok the texture was too mushy. Sort of like baby food consistency. I still really like it here though.
R.
Friendly prompt service, eclectic art, delicious food at reasonable prices. Get in early if you want to get a park.
P.
Beautiful food. Good space to have a meeting also
S.
Nice ambiance and friendly staff. Limited menu but unique take on breakfast.
A.
Service prompt and accommodating. Table brushed over but not wiped so large crumbs etc left. Busy.
M.
The chilli scrambled eggs - yum!!
R.
Love that it's ok to take your dog there. Food was excellent service a little odd. But ok. Definitely worth 4stars 😋
Q.
Inviting atmosphere with pretty great coffee! An excellent place to go work on some emails or have a work meeting. Friendly staff.
D.
Great food! Quantity is on the big side I find - not that I’m complaining.. They do dinner too on some of the nights. Recommend! 👍
M.
Friendly staff. Great spaces and it was warm. Food choices great and portion sizes generous! Would I come again...definitely.
H.
Awesome lunch today at crave. Great relaxed atmosphere and service and delicious food!
D.
Food was great, service was quick, restaurant was busy due to high demand. Would recommend
L.
It was a packed Sunday morning and we got served so quickly, we sat at the big shared outdoor table and the man across from us said, there must be a magician in the kitchen because the food appeared within in minutes of ordering.
C.
Nice layout and decor. Not to sure about the food as had new menu on first day. Beware of alcohol cost.
R.
This cafe is so cool that it is always super busy. It is decked out very stylishly and has a little display area of historical toys.
G.
Incredible fit-out (it has to be one of the most impressive cafes in Auckland) and the food is up to the same standard. Get the eggs benedict on gratin dauphinoise hash...you won't regret it.
D.
Love this place. Myself and the misses eat breakfast here nearly every sunday. Food is delicious, atmosphere is good and staff are always friendly
O.
Great food, amazing service always with a smile.. portion and taste are consistently excellent
L.
Favorite cafe in Auckland and a great place to work from. Delicious coffee, friendly staff, nice environment and enough 80s nostalgia to choke a wooden rocking horse
S.
Been here a couple of times now, have been loving, both, the food and the staff.
The atmosphere it's lovely and I always feel like I want to go back another time.
C.
Very good food... Definitely going again.
M.
Great coffee and food. Service was very fast, a cafe with atmosphere and flair. Love the internal fit out
J.
Service was great and food was too. Loved the community vibe.
M.
Great breakfast - high quality and delicious. We’ll be back soon!
P.
Although parking is a pain it's always worth the effort.
Great staff, clean and with good food. The fact that it's a cooperative probably explains the good vibe the place always has.
S.
Love the concept behind this collective "whanaungatanga". Also have a soft spot for their superb coffee and their use of decanters as water bottles just clicks with me.
R.
Eggs bene 10 out of 10, friendly service. Awesome presentation. Will def be back. Only downside was lack of parking.
C.
Friendly staff and great food. I'm not really a cafe person, but I was very pleasantly surprised here.
J.
Super great coffee, friendly staff, inviting atmosphere - busy, but you can see why! Definitely a must-visit for the area
M.
Fantastic cafe in Kingsland with great ambience. They have a street party twice a year where they serve free food and beverages. They are great events for the kids as well.
A.
Good coffee! Great place to catch up with friends.
R.
Apartments being built across the road. Noise. Smooties are 12 oz. Hash is good, standard cafe. Nice GF ice cream shop in cafe.
S.
Had my 'birthday brunch ' there on Sunday. Food delicious, service prompt, great feel to the place, definitely recommend to others!
X.
Good dining environment
P.

Nice food and nice place. Service just okay. The parking situation is terrible. I had to park miles away. I assume it would be better on the weekend.

Love the food but takeaway coffee wait the last 3-4 times I’ve been here have been far too long. 20 minutes wait for a coffee isn’t good enough
