I never tried their food but coffee is fantastic. I usually go TOB coffee next door but line was too long so I went duck place for coffee instead. My expectation was low to be honest, but wow. What a find! I think I'll keep going to this place keep up the standard of your coffee guys

What a find. We don't often set afoot to North Shore, and we were looking for somewhere easy to eat - we're not expecting anything great. Much to our surprise, the pricing of Duck Duck Goose was reasonable, the portions were generous, and the quality was pleasantly high. Moreover, the coffee was great! We will certainly be returning to this eatery. Thanks for the unexpected gold!

Came by for lunch and grabbed the Sticky Pork Belly lunch special. It came out at the usual time and was quite tasty in my opinion. The pork belly could have been cooked a bit nicer but the flavour was good. A plus side is definitely the price point - $11.50, which may be why they didn't bother making it look nice on the plate (see picture). I liked it, though. Curious about the other menu items - hopefully significantly better quality than the lunch special, at the prices they set.

I see a few people have said service is slow, but for us when about half the tables were occupied on a weekend, we were served right away and the food took exactly 15 minutes. The food was quite good and surprisingly filling for what it was. Omelette has a good amount of vegetables and the French toast had some original flavors that made it pretty unique and tasty. There is plenty of parking at the door.

Nice little cafe....food service is quick but found the coffee took awhile. I had the crab omelette which was yummy...but I couldn't really taste any crab as the sambal sauce was so hot it took over the dish, which was a little disappointing. Good coffee, nice enough ambience, a decent option for the area..but I do hope they update their menus to not be just printed on paper...makes the menu very tatty and unhygienic.

It was ok. I had the duck curry. Curry itself was nice but I reckon not enough curry sauce. Lovely coconut rice. Duck was a bit dry and SUPER hard to eat!! It was a massive duck thigh. Knife was blunt as heck so totally impossible to thoroughly finish the duck. Few suggestions would be either give us a sharper serrated knife or serve either chopped duck thigh or sliced duck breast. This will make the eating experience better! Overall very nice!

Cute little cafe with good food, good coffee and friendly staff. We tried a couple of their baos and both were really good. The muffin was a bit underwhelming though, but considering that you could get one with a coffee for 90 cents, that still a pretty darn good deal.

Coming here because we have heard a lot of hype for their banh mi. We ordered the chicken lemongrass and pork belly banh mi. Baguette was pretty nice, but the filling was a bit lacking in flavor. It was still a good banh mi, but not as I expected from reading great reviews about it. It could be because of takeaway. Will try dine-in and other dishes when we can.

It was such a great day as Christmas Eve. My parter and I visited here for lunch, and fortunately, I took the last seat for us. Food was delicious as looked nice and a waitress was kind. We have visited Duck Duck Goose many times since it opened its doors earlier in the year. The attached photo is from one of our earlier visits. For a while it was our go to for weekend brunch - the food was creative and tasty, peanut butter choc smoothie was my absolute fave and service was great. However, standards have slipped on my previous three visits, so I haven't been back the last few weeks. Will try again, but would love you guys to get back the excellent standards of food and service you used to!

Visited with work colleagues on a training day at lunchtime. The place is lovely and clean. Nicely presented with friendly staff. We were seated quickly and water arrived as we looked over the menu. The choice of food was varied and sounded delicious. It was clear the cafe was popular as lots of people were coming and going. Some eating in and others taking food out. I chose the Thai Chicken with Rice and a Bowl of Miso Soup. Both were yummy. Really tasty and enough to fill me up. All my colleagues enjoyed they're chosen meals. The price of the food is very competitive with lots of lunchtime deals to be had. Highly recommended. Thanks I will definitely be back.

DDG never disappoints. Coffee is always amazing, long black tastes fruity and not burnt. Food is very good. High quality ingrdients, garnished well, and tastes amazing. You can definitely tell that everything is made in the kitchen by Chef Willie, and not prepackaged like other cafes and restaurants. The duck curry will always be a favourite, love that it is confit by chef in the kitchen.

As a backpacker I did few cafe or restaurant around New Zealand to get Mediterranean food. After spending my money without being satisfy by the food I stoped to eat outside (apart for Asian or indien). And by chance I found this cafe, a mix of Mediterranean and Asian food, with a very good taste, quiet cheap, and with a chef who knows about cooking. Very good for vegetarians as well. I recommend to take a plate for the menu instead of the lunch meal. A bit more expensive of course but very nice. My backpackers friends who like me feel disappointed of the Mediterranean restaurants I highly recommend you to visit this place :) Thank you guys

Absolutely love this place and come here regularly. Coffee is always good - never burnt. Long black has a nice flavour, not at all bitter, and Vietnamese iced coffee is to die for. Tea lattes are also very good. I usually get cabinet food which never disappoints - muffins are fresh and soft with a generous amount of toppings (not just a few blueberries sprinkled on top like a lot of places do). Only thing that’s let me down is I ordered the karaage chicken bao (delicious btw and I strongly recommend) and asked for no ginger but they must not have read the instruction and I got ginger anyway. I am not badly allergic so I was able to just pick it out but I’m sure they would have fixed it if I had asked. This was during level 3 lockdown so they were quite busy with online orders and I’m sure it was a once-off but it might pay to check if you have a serious allergy. It certainly will not put me off going back.

A small corner site with another coffee shop right next door. We choose Duck Duck Goose as it looked more inviting. The food and service was great. Friendly efficient staff and a easy to read smallish menu catering for all. I had the overnight cooked spicy mushrooms with poached egg it was great. Full of flavour and the right amount of spice. The only reason for a 4 star rating is although the coffee was great tasting I thought the coffee was a bit watery & not creamy/foamy enough on top. Apart for that minor comment it was great and well worth stopping off for.

We didn't expect this place was SO GOOD. It's all about amazing, delicious and beautfuly served food. Even our 13 y.o. was pleased with their black beef burger, not to mentioned adults. I have been to Duck Duck Goose a few times and have really enjoyed it. Staff are friendly and the food is great with a few innovative ideas on the menu. A big stand out for me was the duck curry and they have a wonton as part of their big breakfast!!! Will visit again for sure. The only negative i had was that i found a hair in my meal during my last visit. Maybe kitchen staff need to be wearing hairnets to avoid this from happening in future. This is not going to hold me back from going back for more of their great food and service.

We had a work lunch today and everything was great. Everyone enjoyed their food. There were 31 of us. All the comms leading to the day with the cafe was prompt. We pre-order and they booked the whole place for us. They had a welcome sign with our company name on it and they had table name tags for everyone coming so they knew who to bring what food to. Friendly and attentive staff. The chef provided some complimentary food and discount on drinks. Thanks you for a wonderful team lunch.

It serves Asian-western fusion dishes. Fairly good quality of food but I think dishes are not big enough. Especially, do not expect good size of meals when you order Big breakfast because it is not same as its name. I'd recommend Duck curry with coconut rice if you don't mind having curry for the first meal of a day.

Really enjoyed my Karaage Bao and Coffee today for lunch. It was top quality and well priced and the cafe was flexible in letting me make a minor change to the standard item. The coffee was very good. I recommend this place for a nice and well priced lunch.

Nice enough atmosphere, staff friendly. No gluten free options, when I asked the girl says Ummmm, gluten free? I'm not celiac, I just like the option sometimes. I ordered scone and coffee. The coffee was ok and they asked if I'd like the scone toasted. Nice way to eat a scone except the butter was in a hard block that needed more than a warm scone to make it spreadable. Room temp butter is what I recommended to them, they thanked me for feedback and I was on my way.
